We're been there a couple of times and normally, the place is okay. Service is hit or miss but I've never felt the need to leave a bad review until today. Ordered both of their seasonal specials online. My wife had the sandwich and I had the hash. The hash was fine, but the sandwich we ordered looked nothing like what it was advertised as and once we got home to see the thing, it was essentially two burnt pieces of bread, with non melted cheese, two burnt slices of bacon, and one tomato. The entire thing, somehow, was also soggy? If I gave them any credit, it's that the egg was fine, not that it mattered because it all went to the garbage anyways. The last time I was passing through Knoxville, a friend chose First Watch and invited me to meet him there for breakfast. When we arrived I was very impressed - the restaurant was really cleaned and looked really inviting :-) We ordered several dishes and shared everything family-style; the food was excellent, the service was totally on-point, and the prices were surprisingly low given the quality of the food. There wasn't anything we tried that day that wasn't good, but my personal favorite was the Elevated Egg sandwich - the taste was simply out-of-this World! I had visitors in town from Silicon Valley. I wanted to take them to a nice eatery for brunch. I asked if they liked First Watch and they both immediately asked if it was a new type of Apple Watch. Lol! After the corny jokes, we drove to the restaurant. For the first time ever, we were seated with no waiting. My visitors and I tried several things on the menu and everything proved spectacular! We had the Brisket Corned Beef Hash, Morning Market Veg Omelet, Bacado, Seasoned potatoes, chicken sausage, Turkey sausage, and two morning Meditations from the juice bar. Service was good, each dish was delicious, and my guest even videotaped about our First Watch experience for their YouTube show. I went here for a work lunch with my coworkers. It was my first time here and I went with an omelette plate. I got a bacon one I believe and the egg was nice and fluffy. Their home made fruit kale on the side for the toast reminded me of my grandma's jelly she used to make on the farm. I tried their kale tonic not pictured and I thought it wasn't going to be good but I gave it a try and now I have to order it when I go there. My sister suggested this place for a Saturday morning brunch and I am glad she did. We were lucky enough to be seated immediately, however wait times can be up to 45 minutes. I really liked this place the first time I ate here for lunch, but I have now eaten here a few times and it has been a bit disappointing. This morning I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict for breakfast and it was cold. The overall taste was okay, but I don't think I would order it again. They were really busy and the service was slower than normal, which is probably why my meal was not as warm as it should have been. They do have delicious looking pancakes, so I think I will give those a try next time I eat here. Hopefully my next experience will be as good as it was the first time I visited! Update: I have been here a couple times since my last review and I've had a much better experience. Since my last review, I have tried their carrot cake pancakes and this morning I ordered the Florentine Benedict. I really enjoyed both items and the service was much faster and very friendly. The pancakes here are huge and they have awesome flavors to choose from! I was definitely full from just one pancake. This morning I opted for a healthier option and really enjoyed the Florentine Benedict. It was really tasty and fresh and it was loaded with greens! First Watch is one of my favorite places when we visit Ohio ( we live in California). So when we found out there was one in Knoxville when we came to visit this week. We figured we couldn't loose. I've eaten at this FW several times. The service is abysmal compared to other locations. We were given water and ignored for 20 minutes while the waiter wandered around to other tables. When people, who were seated long after us, were being served we asked the server to check on our order. It finally came and was missing a few essentials. This is a delayed review, I obviously haven't been here since Covid. I think First Watch is a great breakfast place! The only downside is the long line but that just goes to show how much people like this place! The restaurant itself is a wide open space with high ceilings, interesting signs/decor, a cute waiting area outside that looks like it could be someone's patio, and nice staff. This First Watch was every bit as good as the first one I've eaten at in Nashville. Their menu is large with very unique offerings. Service is (and was) outstanding. I like having my own pot of coffee at the table throughout my meal. I had the Skillet Hash Parma, which was two eggs (scrambled well, in my case) over potatoes with tomatoes, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions and cheese (parmigiana, of course). It was a plate of deliciousness! Great combo of items, and plenty filing. It didn't take long to get our food either. My wife enjoyed her frittata as well. We sat at the "community table" since the place is always busy we sit there and it's cool because we meet new people every time we go. I asked Michelle, our very sweet server, what she recommended and I went with it. Omg it was soooo delicious! I ordered pancakes cooked with granola and fresh bananas inside. I had never had such a combination. I took a bite of the fluffy pancake, with crunchy bits of granola inside and sweet bananas with a light maple syrup (oh sure) and I was hooked! Gorgeous new Beardon location. The plaza is a super cute French- inspired setup with lots of greenery, white awnings and warm signage. First Watch is a staple wherever I am in the Midwest or Southern states. This is by far the most well organized layout I'm seen. The décor from filament pendent lighting to the wood work and sliding barn door caught my eyes. The outdoor patio was in a less sunny area but still nice. Sofas, sofa chairs and side tables line the front of the restaurant for your waiting comfort. Our service was prompt and friendly. Both Joel & Nina were very nice; accommodating our party to perfection. Had a nice brunch gathering with friends here. Not many parkings in the plaza, but can always park at Costco with walkable distance. Ambience is a little high. The bacon (sugar glazed) is amazing!!! Our service is great! The coffee is ok, but really wish there could be real milk or cream instead of those pods. I got the chorizo omelette, which I feel like not much chorizo in there. The omelette is ok but the toast is really good, greens are also very fresh. We also got a pork belly bowl which tastes amazing, just the portion might be a little small. The space itself is quite large with ample tables, so your wait might not be too bad. The menu is very extensive with a ton of healthy options and they're all so delicious! I used to order the power bowls for a healthier option but the quinoa is always so over cooked and I don't like the texture. Complete incompetence. Ordered the Million Dollar Breakfast sandwich with fried potatoes. I asked for the sausage and egg on the side. I got a raw English muffin with EVERYTHING on the side. The cheese and bacon were melted to the sausage, so I asked them to fix it. They sent my plate back with another raw English muffin and literally EVERYTHING separated like an assembly line.
