We've been coming here for breakfast since it opened, especially with my in-laws when they've been over to babysit the night before. :) It's part of our "routine" to come here for breakfast with them, as we enjoy the ambiance, the freshness of the food, and the service. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is although the food is fresh and natural, the eggs almost never seem to be made as ordered. I usually order over-medium anywhere I go, but they've been so inconsistent with it, making it over-hard, that I order over-easy now - and even still one of the eggs is over-hard. Not a deal breaker obviously, but for a breakfast place, I expect more consistency in this area. I ordered poached once (which is my primary preference when a place makes it right), but it was not good here. It was put in a little bowl and the bowl had so much water still in it, so not strained of all the cooking water. Unappetizing, to say the least! But everything else is great. They make their own signature bread, and so the toast is WONDERFUL! I can't stray from the Traditional Breakfast order, because of that bread! Their country potatoes are ok (I've had better). My son gets their French Toast, and it is yummy! Their chicken sausage is pretty good, coffee ok, fresh fruit/herbal drinks have always been yummy if I order one, and my in-laws always order the Trifecta, and enjoy the waffles. My husband ordered the Parma skillet last time, and said it was pretty good. All in all, very nice and clean breakfast place, very nice servers and hosts, fresh natural ingredients. read more

After 5 or 6 orders with the same ice cold garbage result, we have decided to forget this place exists. Conveniently close and far less busy than eggsquisite. Incompetently bad other than the potatos. Who throws bacon on a busted yoke egg and just let it float in it. Nice soggy bacon with cold yoke jello yum smh have some respect for peoples food they pay for with hard earned money. Never a disappointment here. Their food is always fresh and served piping hot. Sometimes I overhear customers complain about the food coming out slow. Better food takes more time...period. I have visited at least 7 other First Watch locations...this one is my favorite. The management team has done a phenomenal job picking and training quality waitstaff. No way to contact "Favor" or the driver, the company has no contact phone number. Called First Watch to get a refund and it takes 11 to 14 days to go through. Came here for brunch this past weekend. Overall the place had some pretty good food. It does have its pro's and cons. As far as the atmosphere the people working there are really nice. As for the pros: - friendly servers -seasonal menu burrito was delicious - free coffee while waiting Cons: - long wait - app to check in line is not really accurate. Still had to wait 20 mins past the latest time we got there. - kitchen can get a little faster turnng out food. Overall this is a good add to the McKinney area and area they are building up off 380. came here with my boyfriend during Christmas break we weren't greeted at the door and it took forever for them to even take our drink order. the food was almost cold when we got it but we didn't want to complain so we just ate and left. i had wanted to try this place for so long and was so disappointed. would never recommend also im a server so i would know good service when i see it. read more

KITCHEN NEEDS WORK- we walked in we're quoted a 20 minute wait and 40 minutes later ended up being seated. We've been waiting 55 minutes for our food which consisted of scrambled eggs.. yes scrambled eggs. This is the second attempt at trying this place and we absolutely will not be back. The waitstaff is ok but the kitchen needs to get their act together. You would think at this point the manager would start making some rounds on the floor to check in on patrons but nope, never saw a manager. Maybe the majority of the reviews are for when the business just opened...however... THE ARRIVAL. From the start - went on Saturday at 9, so being a primarily breakfast place, it was busy. We were told 20-minute wait, used the app, waited 25 minutes. So no big deal there. THE RESTAURANT. Once inside (modern farmhouse - shocker), the staff was very friendly and we were seated by the kitchen. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink and food order right away (waiting gave us time to look over the menu, so that saved time when ordering). After chit-chatting and joking around for a bit (you know, part of the dine out experience?), our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. THE FOOD. I ordered the Bacado omelette, my wife the Egg white omelette, and kids had the whole wheat pancake (ginoromous) and Belgian waffle (did I say ginormous?). It was amazing. Presentation: Taste: Our waitress checked in on us twice and refilled coffee and waters without being asked. THE CHECK. I knew we'd pay a bit more here, but the total bill was higher than I pay for most dinners out. We visited this morning-it was awful. Both of our omelets had entire onion peels in them! We left a pile of skins on our plates. No salsa but the pico they did have was nothing but tomatoes. 40$ 2 omelets (no sides) and 2 coffees. Half of each omelet was onion peel-we won't be back. read more

Me and my family are HUGE fans of first watch, we come here several times a month. This past experience was terrible. The service was slow and our waitress seemed aggravated and rushed. When we finally did receive our food the order was incorrect, but our waitress had already ran off and we didn't see her for a good period of time, so we gave up and ate the incorrect sandwich. The cherry on top of all of this- while I was eating my eggs benedict, I immediately noticed it was crunchy- the Benedict was not edible because it had so many eggshells in it. Waitress offered to have it remade, but after waiting 30 minutes to receive it, I was not looking to wait another 30. Left hungry and disappointed. read more

We got to try this restaurant pre opening for the friends and family event this weekend. We ordered the farmhouse hash and the kids chocolate chip pancake. The service was a little slow but that was expected being new. It took about 40 mins to get our food after ordering and took over a hour start to finish. I liked that they use breakfast potatoes instead of hash browns in their skillet. They do not have expresso or alcoholic drinks, or al. I will be back to give it another try after being open for a bit. read more

It's about 1pm NOT BUSY at all- and these guys are the worse. They didn't bring out my food in time, brought the salad with PINK lettuce which is terrible. Came here for breakfast the other morning before heading to Hobby Lobby. The inside decor was absolutely beautiful, loved the whole vibe of the place, the staff was super friendly and greeted us right away. I understand they just opened and are still working out the kinks so with that in mind our experience was pretty good. Our waiter was great, the only thing I can say negative is that the food did take awhile to come out, almost over 25 minutes and we were there with four adults and two toddlers. So my kids were getting hangry, I did ask for the kids food to come out first and I ordered that first, but it came out with everyone's food. The food was delicious, great portions for price and nicely presented. Other than the timing we had a great visit, again I know they just opened, so I know that will get better. I thought that I would give this place a shot, which was a disappointment. I can't comment on the food, because we never got that far. I was seated immediately. This was the highlight of my experience. After 5 minutes of nothing I decided to leave. The sad thing is, there were only four other tables in the restaurant. I counted at least 6 employees. As a former GM that did new restaurant openings, I can understand the struggles that come with it. This location just opened and I enjoyed my chickichanga..(a chicken-chorizo breakfast versions of chimichanga) With that said I gave them three stars because they missed the mark on a few things. First of, since they Are new they have the wait staff swarming to make sure you are ok...being served is not the problem but when 4+ members of the staff all ask you if you are ok in a 15min period and watch your every move like a hawk it becomes one. My husband hadn't even finished biting through is sandwich before he got asked..(really...can he chew it first) It was borderline uncomfortable. The next was the silverware..both my knife and spoon were dirty and lastly when the food arrived my fruit cup was old and you could clearly see mold on the berry that sat on the top. I could not understand how it was not noticed both by the cooking and wait staff. Honestly I was able to take a few quick pics but because we were being hovered over I did not feel comfortable even using my phone. I will go again and hopefully these kinks will be taken care of. I ordered the Bacado omelette it comes with a salad and a small portion of fresh salsa. I also ordered a side of bacon, what can I say I love bacon! The salad was old lettuce the salsa was just a cup of diced tomato and the bacon was cold, no not the bacon!!! My coffee had what tasted like some kind of flavor additive still in the pot they leave at your table so every cup would have tasted like that .
