First Watch is a reliable brunch spot in Orlando that I really enjoy! Visited this location on a Saturday around 11:00am. I like this location due to the outdoor seating and windows inside the restaurant. Thanks to the yelp waiting feature, I was able to put my name down for a table and once we arrived we were promptly seated. I had the seasonal pumpkin pancake breakfast which comes with two eggs any style and a chicken sausage patty. It tasted so good and such a great way to start Fall! My husband had the market hash with a carrot cake pancake which was also delicious. Hands down, first watch has some of the best pancakes and they are a great size, one truly is enough. Their food is first rate their service is not. Ever when they are lest than 1/3 full at the Orlando location on 17/992 is slow and poorly managed. My sister is a big fan of First Watch and has always pressured me try it out myself. We went with my girlfriends parents the other morning, and we waited a little for a table because we must have arrived at peak time. When we were seated, we were told by a waitress that we would be served by a trainee. She did pretty well aside from forgetting to ask how my Mac wanted his eggs and forgetting toast for my plate. My girlfriend also recognized one of the waitresses as a high school acquaintance but didn't want to say hi so she hid. The main pull this place has is it's healthy options. To be honest, the selection is not as impressive as I hoped. They have healthy options, but they are not as complete as the regular menu items (steel cut oats v. a full egg breakfast). I had the Italian omelette, and it was what you'd expect. It was good, but not anything to make me choose First Watch over a different breakfast spot. All in all, I'm sure I'll be back. read more

First Watch - a decent breakfast/brunch chain. This restaurant never comes up as somewhere that I choose to eat at unless someone else suggests it. I have been to several of their locations and was here most recently with my family to eat. Thankfully we didn't have to wait for a table. The food that day was okay. My decision landed on the frittata rustica, which actually had some great ingredients (tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, kale, and cheese) and was cooked well. It needed some salt and pepper, which thankfully was on the table. It came with a side salad, which left little to be desired. It turned out to be a plate of mixed greens that seemed to lack any salad dressing. My only positive about that is at least the greens tasted fresh and were not wilted. Everyone else seemed content with their meals. Our server seemed a little off. He brought water jugs, but no water cups. I ended up using one of the coffee mugs that was already on the table. Hey, it's bigger than the water cup and I drink a lot of water anyway. At the end of the meal, our server sort of set the check on the table and ran off, not clearing any plates. I haven't been to FW in a while, so maybe clearing plates is typically done after customers leave. My thoughts on First Watch still stand that it is a chain that I don't mind eating at but only with an invitation. read more

Go find another breakfast/brunch place. The food is typically very good but the service/staff and cleanliness was struggling. The glasses/utensils weren't clean, water had particles floating in it. We sat outside and never got checked on from the time the order was taken till food came out which was at least 30 min. It came out, no apologies for the time. Sorry to say today was an epic fail. When paying I asked if there was a manager on duty to which I learned they were both in the kitchen. We both ordered Benedict's. Mine were overdone, my partner's grossly undercooked. Even our redo's were a mix of over and under. Sadly, we didn't get to eat together due to timing of redos and the rest of my dish was cold by the time my 2nd set of eggs came out. Not my favorite breakfast spot, but definitely a contender! We came here because we were in the area that morning. It's a very popular breakfast spot so obviously there was a decent wait time. While we waited (about 30-35 min) we walked around a few of the local stores in the area. Once we were seated we ordered pretty quickly and our food came out in a decent amount of time. I'd like to come here not on a weekend to see what the ambiance is like because it was poppin this day, very busy and noisy, not a bad thing though. They had a good menu selection with everything erring on the healthier side. I ordered the frittata rustica which is basically an unfolded omelet filled with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and cheese. It was very well made and stayed warm for an abnormal amount of time (I'm very picky with cold eggs so I appreciated that I could take my time eating it while it did not get cold quickly). I paired it with their recommended mixed green salad with a lemon vinaigrette which was a nice cold fresh addition and it came with crunchy warm and buttery ciabatta toast. Overall, First Watch serves a pretty decent breakfast with average service. The concept might be a little "health-centric" for my taste, and I think overall the place is kinda sterile and overly corporate for what I usually like in a breakfast spot. My last trip here things seemed...different somehow. New paintings inside maybe, new staff uniforms maybe? I noticed only because one of the managers in his late 20's who seemed to be in training possibly was wearing skinny jeans so tight that I questioned how he could work in that! That's probably not the most appropriate breakfast thoughts, but I noticed because I was trying for some time to flag down my server or any other employee/manager to get some more creamers on the table. The service was overall average and not super attentive - kinda...whatcha want?, OK bye, here's your food, see you when you're done. They were busy, so I understand - but management could probably step up into that role more and watch tables for cues that customers need something. The place was packed with employees on a Saturday and one walked past me every 10 seconds or so since we were sat near the kitchen entrance, and still it was hard to get someone's attention. The food is mostly good though. The omelets are OK...they usually have some kind of "Fiesta" choice with chorizo. The last time I went I had the skillet hash with bacon, avocado (boy do they love avocados here -me, too!), tomatoes, onions, & cheese, served over potatoes with eggs. It was pretty filling and well-made. For $10 or whatever it was, it was kinda lacking in ingredients other than potatoes though - but I cleaned the plate. The coffee is always really good though...it's a nice, smooth medium roast...no cheap, bitter coffee here - and I appreciate that they bring you your own pot to the table. Overall, this is somewhere I'd go from time to time - but isn't my first choice (probably because I like cheap & greasy breakfast). Get here before 10am on weekends if you want to grab a table without waiting - otherwise, put your name down and enjoy the complimentary coffee station while you wait for your table. read more

Everything went fantastic when I dined here again yesterday brunch. While walking to the door I noticed that there were outside seating as well, and asked a staff if they allow dogs and she said Yes. I will definitely bring my yorkie here next time, when it is warmer. We were greeted by tall guys in front of the counter & We were seated promptly (no waiting). Everyone seems lively & cheerful there yesterday, I don't know why. But the atmosphere can blend with your mood & adds up to your experience. We ordered two Morning Meditation which is a combination of fresh juices & is a must try! I ordered a Roast beef & harvati with clam chowder soup. My boyfriend ordered a healthy turkey omelette & ala carte Clam chowder as well. They all taste great! And this time I did not have to rush to eat them all :) and also As I mentioned in the previous review, everything in the menu is healthy! Also I would like to use this chance to commend server Sheffie, he did a good job, very attentive & nice and I noticed that he is consistent on being attentive and being nice in serving other table as well. If I could give them one star I would. I ordered online chose ASAP versus a 10:30am. Told this was the problem that the Manager had said I should've chose a time versus ASAP. Isn't ASAP as soon as possible mean sooner than a chosen time!!!!! It was 11am and my food was not done. Saw people picking up food that had gotten there an hour after me and their food was ready. I could have eaten inside the restaurant had I known it was going to take that long. I was given excuse after excuse I was told 30 mins into my wait 5 mins another 30 mins passed. Went for mothers day with my husband and brothers and my mom, none of us had ever been and trying to stay healthier we picked this place, walking we were greeted with a very funny gentleman:) we then sat with no wait everyone got coffee but me they said it was good but strong, I got apple juice and water. Had to ask for a straw since they do not give them. Food came out pretty quick and was really goods I am very picky on my eggs I always send them back if any of the white is not cooked, but they did a great job, my brother asked for his potatoes to be fried and they were not but he said his bacon made up for that lol. My boyfriend and I very much enjoy this First Watch. We have usually come for breakfast and never been disappointed. Service is always quick and pleasant and I appreciate the seating outside as well. There are also sections inside if you're going solo and don't want to wait. I like that there are healthy options on the menu. I've also enjoyed a fresh juice made in house. You have to bring the bill to the front to pay so leave your tip on the table or give it directly to the server. They also serve lunch, which I enjoy their salads. For the Southside store. Was treated very bad. When to pick up order, they ask me for my first name them was told that I must have done it to another store because they didn't have anything for me. They start talking that I probably did not know where I ordered. Then when I start calling for a refund, the order appear in my last name, again they said I gave them the wrong name, when they just asked the first name. Then the order which it was Chicken avocado chop, did not have no avocados or beans at all. They left me waiting when I told them that was the wrong order. Got tire of waiting make a call to get refund, was told they couldn't submit the refund until the end of the date and it will take around to 5 to 7 days. Lost my lunch hour trying to solve the situation. Will not recommend this store to anyone, you have kids with a bad attitude. read more

First Watch is one of those places where I think it is pretty hard to be disappointed and yet they'll probably never really blow you away, either. It's a middle of the road sort of restaurant, where you'd feel comfortable taking a few guests and you know they'll get good food and good service and you will have a perfectly decent dining experience. I don't know that this would ever be first on my list of places to go, but if everyone is sort of undecided and you say "Hey, how about First Watch", usually you can get everyone to agree to it. I feel like their menu is a notch or two above average - familiar enough so that you're not intimidated, but with a few twists so that you are not bored. Omelets and crepes and pancakes and waffles and eggs - reasonably standard fair, yet as you can tell from their menu I think they make a point to keep it fresh and interesting. We visited this new location on Virginia and Mills around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. There's a nice parking lot in the back, so if you are a nervous driver like me, it's good that you don't have to worry about parking on the street. There was no wait at all and we were seated right away. Our waitress was quite nice and very attentive, always keeping our waters and our coffees full. Our party ordered a Key West Crepe, and an Acapulco Express Omelet ("Are you sure you want that? asked my friend's husband. "It sounds a lot like 'Montezuma's Revenge' ". It must be reported that later I did not experience any such issues.) I believe on the menu it noted that the omelets and crepes come with dressed greens or breakfast potatoes, but we were not given any sort of verbal option by the waitress and everything came with potatoes. Maybe you have to ask, I am not certain. Food was served hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time and everything was perfectly acceptable. I can't really speak to the cost of the meal as my dining companion grabbed the check and I never got to see it. I imagine it was probably somewhere between Perkin's and KeKe's prices, but for god's sake, if you have the option, go to First Watch instead of KeKe's. All said, it was a nice meal. Our first time to First Watch and it was a great experience. The place is cheery bright and contemporary. Clean. Staff at the front desk is very friendly. Friday mid-morning and the place was busy. I chose the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Cheese toast with eggs. Fabulous and I would highly recommend this - full of flavor. My husband had a customized Italian omelette that was cooked to his specifications perfectly. Our server was attentive and friendly. She did not appear rushed and did not rush us. We just happened to meet the General Manager, Daniel, at the front desk when we were paying our bill. What a nice guy with a good sense of humor. This is their newest location in Orlando. I was in the mood for Chocolate Chip Pancakes and knew they had them. Since I knew this new location had just opened, I thought we would try it out. When we arrived, we noticed outdoor seating to the right of the main entrance. This and the Aloma location are the only ones I've noticed outdoor seating at. Aloma's is along the parking lot. This one has it nestled between it and another building, and the parking lot and Virginia, but closer to the parking lot. A man in plain street clothes greeted us at the door, and asked us for our invitation. We didn't realize this was opening day and it was by invite only. He let us come in anyway and introduced himself and asked our names. I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home. He also told us the meal was free, since it was opening day and the workers were in training. We sat down right away behind the cashier. The place has a backward L shape, with the kitchen and bathrooms filling in the gap. They had large replicas of their menus on their windows. I ordered the Tri-Fecta, with the Chocolate Chip Pancake I was craving, scrambled eggs and a turkey patty. The pancake is supposed to be multigrain, but I felt it wasn't. I'll have to compare it with another flavor when I order another one again one day. I could be confusing it with The Briar Patch's Fiber pancakes. I don't remember the turkey patty available in the past, just the turkey sausage. It was much larger than I expected. The taste was ok, and what you expect from turkey. I also ordered my usual small freshly squeezed OJ and a cup of coffee (ok, but somewhat on the watery side). Since the server was in training, someone was there overlooking and giving him tips. It was all done professionally and the trainee was very good at his job, asking us the correct questions and being upbeat and friendly. As we ate, other employees stopped by asking how we were.
