I frequent many first watch restaurants, and this location did not disappoint! It was pretty dead around 12pm and we were seated upon arrival. We were sat inside (there is outdoor seating but it's pretty limited.) We were quickly greeted by our server and we're brought coffee and water. Something I notice right away was that this first watch location has a nice sink in between both bathrooms near the back of the restaurant in order for you to wash your hands. I loved that addition! The server was very friendly and suggested the burrito on their seasonal menu which we ordered (pictured below)! I ordered the trailblazer bowl (also on their seasonal menu), which was literally the most perfect/healthy option I've had at first watch. It has everything needed to fill you up without being stuffed for later! We were waited on well and once we ordered we waited around 15 minutes max to receive our food. A brand new First Watch right on Alafaya! Oh boy! This location was stellar from the get-go. Welcomed with the door opened for us and seated promptly. The restaurant was about half full and the staff was attentive. We ordered some delicious Rainbow Toast from the summer special menu and were pleasantly surprised 5 minutes later with our dish. Following that we placed our order and received it not even 10 minutes later. A fast and efficient kitchen! The waitress was really patient and we did not feel rushed like a previous review mentioned. Once we finished our meals and sipped our coffee we chatted and enjoyed the atmosphere until we got up and were cashed out at the register. The food is always awesome here! I get the farmhouse skillet and am never disappointed. It comes with fresh sliced fruit, toast and some sort of homemade jam. The reason we drive to the university location instead of this one is because of the poor service. We have been to this one twice. The service was so poor the management gave free meals to us and the tables surrounding us. We gave them another try a month or so later and were disappointed that the service still lacked. Today I have a full day of work to get accomplished so I decided to stop into First Watch on Alafaya and Colonial because it is en route to my first appointment (forgive me for deviating off the 20 Orlando breakfast hole in the wall spots). As I am not a stranger to First Watch, I have been to several in Orlando, this location was new to me. Today I was able to get the early start I normally do on Saturdays so parking was not a problem (which was good because the front lot did not have a lot of spaces). From the outside, the place does not look that big but upon entry I was surprised to see all the space they had. Very open floor plan with all the booth seats situated along the outer walls. Rustic was the feel but here I felt the place was more spacious and not as dark as the one I usually frequent by my house (not sure if it's the lighting or the fact there are more windows). I liked the layout here better as well. Amber was my host and server. She had the most upbeat and perky personality. As soon as I walked in she complimented my glasses and got the conversation started. As if she read my mind, I was directed straight to a two top booth (you know I like my booths), handed my menus and asked if I wanted coffee....guess she didn't fully read my mind . The crab omelet caught my eye on their seasonal summer menu. This consisted of crab, of course (and the real stuff, not the imitation fish flavored as crab. Now, for all my Maryland relatives...No, I'm pretty sure it was not blue crab but it still tasted ok...haha.), scallions, corn, red peppers and jack cheese topped with a hollandaise sauce. I loved the flavor of the crab and the hollandaise together but could have done without the corn and peppers. I opted for greens instead of potatoes in trying to stay on the healthier side even though this is my indulgence meal and i always get the artisan toast with the fruit preserve (so delicious). Overall, the food was top notch as usually delivered from First Watch. Good food and awesome service (thanks Amber) a great start to the work day!!! I have been to a few locations and overall it is pretty good once you find a few items that you like. It is usually a hit or miss with their menu depending on the person. It is easily compared to iHop since when we go we always ask if they want iHop or healthy iHop. The prices are a bit high especially compared to other places that serve breakfast food. read more

I love this location! I came for a Yelp event to preview the Fall menu, and WOW! This was my first time at a First Watch ever, and I know that I'll be back! Something that I found out about this location in particular is that, this is the only location in Orlando that has a bar! So alcohol is served here, mimosas galore! But the drink I really loved was the Cinnamon toast cereal milk drink! If you're a coffee lover, and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend this drink! SOOOO GOOD! When we arrived, we were seated. Our seater was a male and he was practically sprinting us to our table. Once we ordered, our experience was much better. The food was so good. We got the donut holes and they were to die for. Our server, Alison, was so kind. She was so funny and personable which made the experience even better. I wanted to ask for the manager when I finished my meal to tell him how much we loved her but he was slightly rude and aggressive which was the only negative part of our trip but the restaurant was busy so I can understand somewhat. This new "concept" version of the First Watch restaurant is not only beautiful but likely to attract large crowds hungry for more. What is different here? The bar. Not what you might expect, but remember, they serve breakfast, lunch, AND brunch. (And there's no point doing brunch without mimosas.) At a recent Yelp event, I was lucky enough to sample new menu items available to patrons 8/27/18. Ahhh-mazing! Million Dollar Bacon with brown sugar AND cayenne?! What?! I dove right it. The avocado toast was plentiful and filling and you could taste the freshness of the produce. The mushroom fritatta with arugula - my GOD! Put that bad boy on your food wish list - STAT. But the butternut squash bisque was CHOICE. Whatever cold days we get this year in FL, I will fight them off with that bisque. Best I have ever had. This was by far the worst dining experience of my life. I was told it would be a ten minute wait for a table, after waiting 15 minutes I was told it would be another 10 minutes but I was next on the list. After three more people had been sat and I had waited another 15 minutes I was finally ready to be seated. The server was extremely quick to take our order only for us to wait 75 minutes to get our food which consisted of 3 more false promises of "your food should be out in 10 minutes". Firstly, the restaurant itself had a very nice ambiance and I love the industrial/open/airy feel. Second, my meal was delicious!! My 'usual' at breakfast places is eggs benedict, and today I ordered the BLT Benedict (pictured) with side potatoes. There was a perfect amount of rich, tangy hollandaise combined with delicious bacon and tomato with perfectly poached eggs (so easy to overcook and miss out on runny yolk). The side potatoes were amazing, and my husband devoured his pumpkin pancake meal. I even love that for us coffee drinkers, they left the carafe at the table so I could refill on demand without having to flag down our waitress. Pancake was very dry but tasted ok. The 2 eggs were extremely runny, I think they should have been cooked a bit more since even the egg white was runny. Oh well. Love First Watch in Waterford Lakes! The decor is farmhouse chic with soft, cool colors. The food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the am super foods bowl; it's healthy and delicious! I paired it with the tasty kale tonic. Skip the iced coffee (light and watered down) and grits (salty and too thick on both occasions I tried it). When it gets busy, service can be spotty but always friendly. There is minimal parking in the front and back so you may need to park far and walk but no complaints here for a solid breakfast/brunch place like this. read more

I'm a big fan and eat at the Dr Phillips location often. When I spotted this location I was excited. The service was excellent but the food was slow in coming out and they were not that busy. The beautiful modern farmhouse vibes in this place are incredible, not to mention the mimosas with freshly squeezed OJ and your own mini bottle of prosecco to pop. Perfect for family gather, casual atmosphere. The wait time for the food was a bit long (40 mins at 1:30 on a Sunday), so I would ask about food turnaround time if you are on a time constraint. The food was fresh, filling, and decently priced. I would say it's comparable to food prepared by your one health-nut Auntie, but with Uncle "I like a beer once in a while' spunk. Today I ordered takeout and in the notes for my online order I asked for crispy bacon but not burnt please and when I picked up my order, the bacon was burnt to a crisp. I'm not sure if I spoke to the manager or supervisor but she told me to keep the burnt bacon and handed me bacon that look like the picture I'm submitting. For what they charge I don't think it's worth coming back here anymore. Especially, when they give you orange juice in a tiny cup that's only one size that they don't want to fill up unless you tell them to. First watch is consistently good. The waterford location is really nice. I always get one of their old menu items: turkey eggs Benedict. It's so satisfying. They still make it if you ask for it. Only downside is sometimes they get on a decent wait, but they have free coffee and fruit infused water. I'm giving my experience there today 3 stars because I don't want to take away from the delicious food and cocktail that I experienced there. Nor do I want to not share that my waitress was excellent. They problem I encountered was leaving the place. When I walked up to the register to pay, I was not greeted by the "cashier" as many, many places do when you are leaving. Usually places ask "how was everything?". Instead, my husband volunteered to the woman that everything was great! She truly didn't acknowledge him saying that. I asked her about being able to add a tip to my purchase. At some places, the cashier has to do it before the transaction is inputted. She was extremely short with her responses and answered in a rude/snappy tone. It was 9am in the morning so this is sad that the restaurant hadn't been open that long for her to be so rude. Not sure what she had going on personally today, but she should have called off and dealt with it.
