We were looking to have a quick bite on a Sunday night and wanted to avoid any of the fast food options so we tried this diner. The place is pretty big with tables inside and outside. The menu includes a lot of options including soups, salads, burgers, bowls and breakfast items. We ended up trying their burgers and they were good. The only thing I noticed is that almost everything was extra (bacon, avocado, sweet potato fries, etc.). The food came out pretty quick and we got our check as soon as we asked for it. Many restaurants have changed after Covid, whether just remodeled or new owners, sometimes change is bad, but I'm glad to say that flashback diner is still very good. I'm a sucker for a 24/7 diner, and this spot outdoes the rest in my book! Wary of average reviews, I had low expectations, but the menu is HUGE. they have so many options for breakfast, brunch, lunch/dinner, and dessert. Additionally, while I don't eat a lot of Italian food, I LOVE pasta alla vodka - and you can't imagine how shocked I was to see it available at 3AM in a diner booth. I added grilled chicken (which was seasoned and cooked very well), and it came with two pieces of fresh garlic bread. The portion was so large I almost couldn't finish it. Our server was so kind, and I enjoyed meeting multiple employees over the night as the food was delivered. The outdoor patio is a nice place to sit at with dogs. Would have been nicer with more fans on since we are in Florida. It took asking for a glass of water 5 times to get. Our waitress mixed our food up with another tables so we had to wait extra to get what we ordered. However the portion that was cooked the first time correctly sat in the kitchen and got cold before coming to our table. Went inside to ask for boxes to take the food home to heat up. The Davie location has a large outdoor patio featuring karaoke on Friday and Saturdays. It is dog friendly and they have a doggy menu. I arrived for a late night dinner at the Davie Flashback after visiting the Garden of Lights at Flamingo Gardens. I was busy and hasn't eaten all day and I was starving at 11 PM. My server was Eric and within minutes he had my perfectly cooked cheeseburger burger and fries in front of me. He was very nice and even stopped to chat with me a bit which made me feel very welcomed. If you are looking for a snack or a meal at off hours in Davie, Flashback is open 24 hours with an extensive menu including all day breakfast. I loved everything about my visit including the vintage decor, the service, the prices, and the food. My burger was so massive that I ended up taking half home. Flashback isn't bad just not one I would run to for every occasion. The location is very old school they have it decorated with movie posters all around. I ordered a waffle with eggs, bacon & sausage. As you can see the presentation is very plain and no pizzazz to it. I came here on a Sunday evening and it was empty inside. There was really not a lot of people being served and staff were just standing around. I think our server was overwhelmed since we were a party of 10 people because service was okay. The food was a bit slow to come out and I didn't really enjoy my meal. The Spanakopita looked and tasted reheated. Phyllo dough is only really good served freshly baked. Maybe they just over baked it. The fries were okay but the chocolate cake was excellent. I think everyone else enjoyed their experience here but I felt it was average and could use work. The tap water even had a funny flavor to me. In town for a couple days, met up with a couple friends and we were jonesin' for some classic diner breakfast. Ended up at the magnificent, "Flashback." Nice, classic look, clean, tables and chairs in good condition, and tastefully decorated. I had the Ribeye and Eggs and the quality of the meat rivaled a good steakhouse (pretty unusual for breakfast) and was grilled exactly right. Hashbrowns, toast, coffee, etc. - everything was perfect. My friends had waffles, omlettes, pancakes, et al and were equally impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. What really made our meal the most perfect breakfast ever was our server, the charming Charlotte. Warm, helpful, and with just enough spunk to make the visit a lot of fun. She seemed like she was always there when we needed something but never interrupted or bothered us for no reason. This true GEM has mastered the craft of "Server" and if I owned this restaurant, all new servers (regardless of experience level) would shadow this expert for a couple days in a block of instruction entitled, "This is how we want you to do it." What an awesome restaurant! Food, drinks and customer experience all in the top 1% of all restaurants ever (and I spend about 220 nights away from home every so this is saying something). I have been to Flashback a couple times throughout the years. It's been here forever, I remember coming here even in high school. While it's not a great diner, it's not terrible by any means. It's open 24/7 so it's the kind of place you go to at 2am when everything else is closed lol. I don't recall what else I've eaten here but when I ate here last week, I ordered the BLT. It came with fries. Everything was actually pretty good. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh and the bacon was crispy. It came with a side of mayo. I would order it again if I were here. Service was ok but again it was the middle of the night so I wasn't expecting much from our waiter. I say if you're in the area and it's late night and you're starving, give it a shot. Came to this location for the first time on a Saturday morning. We came for breakfast and the restaurant had no wait time. The service was great from beginning to end. It's a big location with indoor and outdoor tables and would be great for big groups. The breakfast was also good. Everything tasted fresh. We were greeted and seated and promptly the waiter asked what we wanted to drink. For food we ordered. Liver and onions medium rear, if was so soft and flavorful even the onions were perfectly cooked. Belgian waffles with eggs and ham, it was good, the waffle was a little dry but it was ok with the syrup on it, I just like my waffles more oh the crispy side. Eggs cooked just the way I ordered scrambled soft and ham can't go wrong with that. We ordered cookies and a donut to go, they were also very good. Came here the other day for dinner with family. Place was near empty & we were seated right by the door, which I don't normally mind but when it's empty like that I was expecting seating elsewhere but didn't make a fuss. Upon being sat we were given menus with one short (server quickly corrected) & unfortunately was greeted with the dirty smell of them. Seems like they are being cleaned with dirty rags and the smell is so overwhelming after deciding my order I had to put it down on the bench next to me. The food definitely makes this place great. My mom & I both ordered the Dolores Del Rio Bacon, Avocado & chicken sandwich which was delicious! We also each got hot chocolates, which should have been called warm chocolates sadly as the presentation is beautiful topped with whip cream & chocolate syrup. This is a cute little diner and coffeehouse and Davie. The service is spectacular hands-down. The food is well eh. I ordered the southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cream gravy. The cream gravy is what killed the meal. Nothing creamy about it. It had a dreadful taste to it. It wasn't the cream gravy you would expect you know thats white. This was almost translucent where you could see through it. Not only was its presentation horrible but the taste was wickedly horrible. They kind of kill the entire meal. The chicken half that came with the meal was extremely small. They should've let the chicken grow up before they cooked it. Unfortunately they also overcooked it so it was very dry and that a lot of meat remains because it was over cooked. They have pies and other desserts here. I ordered a slice of apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Both tasted pretty good. Other than that the meal wasn't that great. read more

The ladies in our Hot Dog Club went here for lunch and obviously chose various variations of the hot dog on the menu. I had sauerkraut, chili and onions, one had just sauerkraut and onions, two had no sauerkraut. We all had a different side: fries, onion rings, fruit salad, steamed broccoli. The hot dogs and buns were foot-long and very tasty. They have a full bar so we had Bloody Mary's and rum & cokes. We finished with delicious key lime pie. Charlene, our waitress, was the best...personable, friendly, funny and best of all got all our orders correct. They had a lot of menu choices and I look forward to returning. The booths were large and very comfy too. This is a real Greek diner in the heart of cowboy country Davie, FL located very near to Bergeron Rodeo grounds. Plenty of parking and the diner features outdoor and indoor dining year-round. During the week there are daily lunch specials. I like to phone in at 10:45 a.m. to find out what the specials for that day are. Sometimes I'll get that or I'll opt for my favorite Spanakopita. It was me and my husband first time and we left without even order anything We were waiting for more than 15 minutes for service even when we were placed in a table next to the host stand they use to place the orders. 1. there was a waitress doing something on the stand and never said a word. 2. then 2 waiters came to the same spot and were there for a while. I asked a question about the pastrami sandwich and he replied with a bad actitude and rolling his eyes over "we only have one" My husband looked angry and said "give us a couple minutes please". We had been for breakfast about a year ago and weren't impressed, but we decided to give them a second try for dinner last night since they seem like a Davie staple. Being a little hungover from the John Mayer show the night before we were looking for comfort food. My husband ordered the meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes and veggies, and I got the country fried steak with Mac and cheese and veggies. Everything was bland - no real flavor. It seemed like the country fried steak was previously frozen. Mac and cheese was a pass, and the veggies were greasy and not visually appealing. The meat loaf was weirdly burnt like it had been reheated and charred. He ate around the burnt areas. The mashed potatoes tasted like out of a box and no flavor. I came here for dinner with some friends and we were thinking of trying out having breakfast foods in the evening time. I was very impressed with the food I got as the omelet and the fresh toast were very good and filling. I got the veggie omelet and it was very good, the eggs were cooked well and there were a lot of veggie toppings. The fresh toast was amazing and not too sweet. The only issue we had was that there was a bit of a wait on the service and the arrival of the food even though the diner was empty.
