I'm very pumped about First Watch opening close to my house. Finally got to stop by for brunch and it's fantastic. Big open restaurant with a view into the kitchen, with ample parking around. They have breakfast, brunch, and lunch foods and everything around me looked great. I love going places like this on weekends. I got the Bananas Foster French Toast, one of the seasonal specials. Wife got the BLT and both were great. The side salad was lackluster but otherwise everything was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try other items! The hash looked especially good. Service: Our server was Damaris and she was absolutely amazing. She was very communicative and noticeably considerate to our needs. One of the best servers I've had in a hot minute! Food: I ordered something that isn't really on the menu, a biscuit with cheesy scrambled eggs and then a side of fruit. She was helpful and understanding with me ordering since it wasn't really an item on the menu. With the fruit she asked me which one's I wanted and came back with the best mixture of fruit I've ever had. Blackberries, bananas, pineapple, strawberries, melon, and grapes. Every place I've ever been has never had this good of a mixture. Ambiance: This is where I took the one star just because we were sat in a corner right next to the bathrooms. One even finished eating before our food arrived. The food was cold, the order was wrong and some of the food was burnt. The assistant manager came out and after explaining to him what was wrong he went to get the GM and I had to explain all over again. What a great spot for breakfast/lunch. We visited this new location ( located across from Costco). There is an extensive breakfast/ brunch menu with healthy options and traditional meals. The Kale tonic was BOMB and also had an option to make it a cocktail (which we will be trying on our next visit). The classic eggs Benny was delicious, and my husband loved the egg Sandwhich. Comparing this location to others we've been to when traveling, it's the best we've experienced. It had better coffee, nice hot water for tea (how's that for a change!), terrific wait staff, and our breakfast was just right. Such a pleasant meal. I'm generally a fan of First Watch, their servers are always friendly and on top of their game, the food is consistent, and everything comes out fast! We recently dined on their patio and it was perfect for my toddler. He was very entertained by counting the cars that drove past on Six Forks Road. The good came out super fast, which again is perfect for taking a toddler out to breakfast. I like their chia seed bowl, omelets, and eggs Benedict. My husband usually goes for the traditional breakfast or the lemon ricotta pancakes. All three of us enjoy their breakfast potatoes, I always opt in for those with my meal. Who wants a salad for breakfast?! Potatoes all the way for me. In a fan of their iced coffee as well. The patio isn't huge but it has maybe like 8-10 tables out there. We went on a Sunday morning and there was no wait, but you can join the waitlist online if they are packed. This location does serve liquor so you can grab a bloody mary or mimosa with brunch! I like how the Belgian waffle came in its own packaging, to keep keep it from getting soggy with the other items that were part of the entrée. Our server, who never introduced herself, was rude (too early in the morning to be rude), my meal was overcooked in which I turned it away & my sister's eggs were overcooked as well. Her eggs were replaced with perfection where I was brought the exact same plate which was turned away again. My meal was somewhat overcooked but accepted it as who knows what will happen. I had to wait an hour and half for service on my truck at discount tire so I decided to grab a bite to eat. I came in a little after 10 am alone and was greeted and seated quickly. The waitress was awesome because I haven't had great service at a restaurant in a while. She made sure to check on me multiple times and the other employees made it a pleasant experience as well. I had avocado toast which was amazing. I had it with eggs and added on a side of potatoes which were delicious. The restaurant was clean and the sweet blackberry tea was tasty.
