So this is a super generic, boujee breakfast spot. Like you come here to show your friends that you go out and are at the very least are somewhat cultured.. for stone oak. The food is super mid, kinda wack. Servers are tight though. This is Karen central so be on the lookout if you swing by. This is the perfect spot though to sell Girl Scout cookies outside of. But for real the jelly is the same at McDonald's, the potatoes are burnt to high hell, the eggs. You can make the same eggs at home, overall can't recommend this spot for breakfast. read more

But then bacon was cold and sort of looked and felt like they probably tried to microwave it or something...just wasn't normal I've become accustomed to over years. Went there with my family. I had been to one in Ohio and that restaurant was amazing. This location, however, was awful. It wasn't very busy, but. We had to wait forever just to be seated. Finally we were assigned a table and then no one ever waited on us. We sat there for 20 minutes. Kept asking if we could have coffee. Always the answer was yes. No one ever brought any coffee. The worst part was there were about 5 guys in the conference room next to us that seemed like maybe they were the owners having a business meeting. They sat and watched all of this. And did nothing. Maybe you should stop having meetings about how you can run your business and actually RUN your business. Then. As we were leaving, a waitress says, 'you pay here.' ?!?! We didn't eat here because you didn't wait on us here so we have nothing to pay for here. We left and went to the Local Coffee shop next door. They treated us warmly. I highly recommend them. Food was alright. I ordered the millionaire's bacon & cinnamon roll waffles while my husband ordered the BLT eggs Benedict. The millionaire's bacon seemed burnt. My husband said his meal was just okay. My waffles were yummy, however, the portion is pretty small. I asked if I can have cinnamon roll French toast, instead of waffles and they said no. First Watch use to be The Egg and I but be prepared, it is nothing like the Egg and I. Atmosphere - The remodel is excellent, looks great. Menu - Do not like this menu. I really had to search to find something that appealed to me but that's my opinion, everyone has different tastes, you may like this "LA" style menu. Dining room - staff is OK, not overly friendly. I have dined here twice, first time, I had a problem with my food, the server asked to correct the problem, the second visit, I had a food problem, the server just said "oh" and walked off. Kitchen - this is where the biggest problem is. On both dining experiences, my food has come out warm, almost cold. Food is flavorless. The avocados on my Bacado were brown. My grits were so hard, sticky and lumpy, that no amount of butter could save them. Lets face it, we go to a restaurant for the food, the food has to be good. Too pricey for bad food. This company just entered the Texas market and is going through some growing pains. The food quality can improve, staff can improve, but menu selection will always be the same. So we came here after church thinking it was still The Egg and I. So glad this was still a place to get breakfast because we were starving. We had the Eggs Benedict, the Parma Skillet Hash, and simple 2 scrambled eggs w/ bacon, potatoes & toast. We had to wait for a table and they said it would be 20 min, but we were seated within 15 min. The decor inside is nice and everything is clean, but the tables could be a little more spaced apart. When people sit down, it's hard to get past them when you have to get up to go to the bathroom or leave (and I'm a 130lb girl saying this). The dishes are plated nicely and everything was tasty. Started off with a glass of Kale Tonic and the color of the drink was as bright as the taste. I was not expecting it to be that good! I ordered a Belgian waffle and it was light and airy, pork sausage link had a crisp casing and was full of flavor. I ordered a side biscuit and it was buttery and flaky and so so good. Lastly, the menu is very fairly priced. We ate to our complete satisfaction, and indeed were pleasantly full when we finished our meal, all for under $30! My wife and I come here regularly. We always share a skillet and a side of biscuits and gravy. They have really good fresh juices. The million dollar bacon is legit. They can get very busy on the weekends. Luckily you can add yourself to the waitlist via yelp. They do not take reservations.
