This place has such a lively atmosphere! We were greeted right at the door, and they even held it open for me and my party, which was a nice touch. The wait was super short no more than about five minutes. The food was good, and I tried their new seasonal drink and sandwich, which I really enjoyed. One of our orders did come out wrong, which is always a little inconvenient since we had to send it back and wait for a new plate. However, our hostess was incredibly nice with a great personality and answered all of our questions without hesitation, which definitely made up for it. I also love that I can literally walk there from my apartment that's a huge plus for me. The prices weren't bad at all either. I'll definitely be back!

We had brunch recently at First Watch on Sonterra Blvd. Starting with coffee for hubby and myself and hot chocolate for Dad. Hubby had the Breakfast Taco, Dad had the Classic Breakfast with 2 sunny side up, bacon, and potatoes, and I had the Ham and Gruyere Omelette. Everything was well made but we had too much food. Definitely took home leftovers. Great service! Recommend this location.

First time here with a big group on Sunday. I loved that they were will to accommodate us even though we were a big party. The service was fast and great. The food is your typical breakfast foods. Honestly my omelet was ok, what I loved is my friend order the chocolate chip pancakes and they were AMAZING and fluffy and not to sweet just perfection, if I come back it would be for that!

My wife and I took our 2 adult kids out to breakfast yesterday and found First Watch restaurant while looking for Egg and I (which is closed btw). Son and I had pancakes which were huge! Good thing I only got one. Couldn't even finish it. Mine was a little dry and needed lots of butter and syrup. He had blueberry pancakes which he said were good. Wife had a waffle which she described as good also. The best part of the meal was the "million dollar bacon" which I believe was on the appetizer menu. Very tasty and well worth the $8. We had 2 of them. Waitress was very attentive and quick and check out was a breeze, being done online. The place was clean and looked to be recently remodeled ( though the floor in the men's bathroom was a little slippery). We will go again and probably just split a pancake and have more of that bacon!

Breakfast was so good and service was perfect- the coffee was fresh and tasty- they provide me with no. Dairy creamer which was awesome not many place have oak milk or almond milk. Definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast! There is a big selection of breakfast foods to choose from & daily specials.

I had a great experience! My server was Lydia, she was very attentive and all smiles! I got their French toast and loaded breakfast potatoes; it was excellent! The restaurant was very clean and inviting! 10/10 experience!

My bf and myself love trying out different breakfast spots around north SA. We came across this place since it's down the street from us! I love looking at cleanliness, service, and if quality foods match the price. First things first, walking in, it looks very tidy, very well lit areas, tables are ready with mugs for some coffee. The waiter/waitresses we have had thus far have been prompt, very nice, and helpful. The menu: can be a bit overwhelming in a good way because there is a variety of food with so many different ingredients that they use! You can indulge or have yourself a nice healthy breakfast option. (Carrot cake pancake is a great treat-huge size for just one!) The food: the few things I've tried have been really good with all the different types of flavors it goes into it, I can really appreciate whoever came up with the meal. They usually have a seasonal menu as well, and that's what I love to try. This morning we tried the B.E.C.-bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on sourdough, and the so cal hash, both were really good! Fave from the two was the hash! The flavors were amazing! Side note: they have alcohol there as well in case you like to start the weekend early.

The Calamari was just, meh...maybe because it was prepared unlike I'd ever had before. I ordered the "Stuffed Salmon" and as U can see, it didn't meet expectations-plus it was small for the price. My fiancée ordered the Pasta Flight and immediately discovered that it was more than she'd bargained for. Overall, it was tasty, with the exception of the chicken-which was dry. She also had to request fresh bread because they were all so hard. Also, our entrees were extremely late to arrive, based on the crowd-over 30 minute wait!!! Fortunately, that wasn't the case here. From the moment we arrived the hosts were warm and welcoming and had us seated immediately. Our waitstaff was equally attentive, quickly acknowledging us with water and a fresh fruit selection to complement it. The ambiance has a nice balance between cozy and elevated. It feels refined without losing the warmth that makes Italian dining so inviting, and I'd consider the overall atmosphere above average for San Antonio. A particular highlight was our waitress, Carrie (if I remember her name correctly). She was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and, more importantly, her recommendations felt genuinely personal rather than rehearsed. She took the time to offer thoughtful feedback on each dish, which made ordering feel more intentional. Her warmth and attentiveness also added to the overall experience and are worth mentioning because great service can make a very good meal feel exceptional. As for the food, the bolognese and burrata were my personal standouts. The bolognese had the depth and richness I look for in a good Italian dish, while the burrata was a simple but very satisfying choice. The broccolini was also great, although it was noticeably thicker than I expected. That said, I have no complaints. For cocktail, I went with the Hibiscus Limonrita, which I enjoyed enough to sip on throughout the meal. It's not very sweet but fair warning, its pretty strong haha. Overall, this was a meal that pleasantly surprised me. I came in cautious because of how much I enjoy Italian cuisine, but left feeling that the food, atmosphere, and especially the service delivered a well-rounded dining experience. When a restaurant can combine quality food with knowledgeable, genuinely attentive service, it's the kind of place that earns a return visit. Carrie certainly helped make this one memorable.

Burgers come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion standard, but you can opt out of whatever you don't like. The amount of guac was well proportioned with the rest of the burger. The bun is hearty enough to withstand the burger and its fillings but definitely NOT thick, heavy, or too much for the sandwich. The sandwich itself is smaller than the over-the-top burgers they used to serve, but they are a great value for the price and a more reasonable serving size, even for a big appetite.
