Located inside a strip mall with a Publix supermarket, First Watch Daytime Cafe was a total treat! First let me say, everyone knows it is great so the wait is LONG...the great thing is that they have a cool app that allows you to "join the line" online and track how long until our table is ready. That worked because we got there and the table was ready within 5 mins! We got to the table and the menus were all placed casually and made of nice heavy cardboard - think rustic New England.. The staff is super friendly and homely - very willing to explain the details of each dish to all members of our party. We started with drinks. Wow! I am forever traveling to all the First Watch locations. It is my favorite breakfast spot. I chose this location due to my normal one near my house having a longer than usual wait time. We went on a busy Sunday morning, checked in on the app and we were seated less than 5 minutes upon arrival. Social distancing is definitely being practiced. The server came shortly after we were seated, in which she promptly took our order and answered any questions; also she was very friendly. I had to try the new street corn hash, and am I glad I did. I must say the main reason for my 3 stars was because of the service other than that the food is great. The host was able to sit us within minutes of putting us on the wait list. Once we sat the waitress came about 10 minutes later to take our drink order, we placed the order for everything because we figured it would take long. I ordered a BLT with avocado, and she looked confused. I said it's not on the menu but you have avocado toast and you sell blt so I'm pretty sure they make a blt with avocado. I proceeded to ask for mayo because I know most places don't always put mayo, and I hate to make my server run back and forth. Of course when it came it didn't have mayo so I asked for mayo. I was already done with half my sandwich and half my soup before she realized she forgot my mayo. When we first sat I ordered a tea my girlfriend ordered a power drink (kale) she loved it. The waitress brought me my tea bag, milk and sugar, but forgot the mug, she said she would be right back with my mug. Ten minutes later I had to remind her to please bring my mug so I can drink my tea. I was definitely a little irritated by the time I left there. In her defensive it was busy and there didn't look like there were much servers, but still I get you can forget the first thing but then you forget again. Just super annoying especially because I love their food. If you're looking for a great breakfast/brunch first watch is the place you want to go. Great brunch place! We went on a Sunday around noon so of course there was a wait. We put our name on the list before we arrived and were told 30-40 minutes online, so we assumed we wouldn't have to wait all that long once we arrived, but we did end up waiting around 40 minutes once we checked in, which wasn't ideal. Basically, it was incredibly busy so we had to wait, not a huge deal. I got the market style hash with the eggs on the side and it was very delicious and filling. My boyfriend got the barbacoa quesadilla benedict which he also really enjoyed, and we shared a side of biscuits and gravy. I am a huge fan of breakfast. But I love breakfast at for lunch sometimes. Today I decided to go to first watch during my lunch break. The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The staff at this one is always super friendly and welcoming. I have never had to wait but mind you I do not come at prime time on the weekend. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were delicious. I have previously ordered the chia seeds pudding and the elevated egg sandwich. My husband and I eat breakfast here on a regular basis. All of the employees are friendly and attentive. The food is great and priced reasonably. I visited on March 7 with a friend and, again, was very pleased. Our server, Mattie, was efficient and fast and seemed to anticipate our needs even before we did. This place is an amazing brunch place. More on the healthier side or cleaner side. And it gets very packed so you should put your name on their wait list available here on Yelp before heading out - and then check in when you arrive. The earlier the better. They have a special coffee that they brew, they make their own granola, it's one of my favorite breakfast brunch place to go to mainly bc they have chia seed pudding! The AM SUPERFOODS BOWL is my all time favorite breakfast food. It's basically a chia seed pudding make with coconut milk, kinda like a parfait with berries, bananas, and granola, but the chia seed pudding instead of the yogurt. And it's so yummy. They also have an açaí bowl version too. Other good choices are the avocado toast which is a mouth full and a big plate you can even split between two people and it comes with eggs. The Trifecta is also a standard breakfast choice of your choice of pancake/waffle, eggs, and a meat choice. I'm a huge egg fan so if you're craving eggs I'd usually ask for three which is an upcharge. The eggs Benedict (blt) is pretty awesome too bc the arugula that they use is so refreshing! The Floridian french toast comes with a strawberry and kiwi topping which is unique and very delicious. Most dishes here are a mouthful and you definitely get what you pay for. One pancake is enough! We loved First Watch in Boca so much that we decided to come and try the one in Sunrise. I added our names on the waitlist through the Yelp app, and by the time we got there we were seated right away. This is a very good feature, because the weight could be up to an hour long. In fact, the people before us on line when we checked in, were told that we would be an hour. This location does not have outside seating. It is located across from the Sawgrass Mall at a strip mall with Ross and a homegoods right next-door so I was pretty happy about that. It felt a lot busier than Boca and I felt a lot more rushed. We ordered avocado toast to share and asked for it to come before our food which we order at the same time, but they brought everything together. I believe they just want to sit you, serve you and have you have you out door as soon as possible, I can understand that because it is a popular location, but it was a little uncomfortable to have so many plates on the table and feel rushed to eat. The food is great, but not as prettily plated. Service was efficient, although our waitress didn't cone to offer refills, we had to flag another waitress. You guys !!!!! Once a year we take a trip to the Fort Lauderdale/ Miami area and this place is always our very first go to. The ambiance is great and the service is fantastic ( this time we had the lovely Jada serving us). I had the eggs Benedict with mixed greens and let me tell you, the greens tasted like they just freshly picked them out if the garden. It makes a big diffrence if you get greens out of a bag or freshly from the farmer. The eggs were just right....not to runny not to over cooked. The salmon had a decent smoky flavor and was very fresh tasting. My better half had the Floridian French toast which he devoured in no time. My first recommendation is go to the Tamarac location for a better wait time. Because this location is super busy, has an hour wait time, and the customer service is subpar and sometime lack attentiveness because they are always rushing. I reccomend getting the wait in line app so help with the wait. I tried alot of the breakfast items, French toast, waffle, pancakes, potatoes, eggs, bacon..etc.The food is good but not great in my opinion. The do provide alot of healthy alternatives which is awesome. But im just never blown away by thier food. I like my food to have not only good presentation but good FLAVOR. They kinda lack in the flavor to me.They also like to put their own twist on items like the biscuits and gravy or the grits but its not a good twist in my opinion.
