Here I am updating my review again. Since the last review I have moved from being vegetarian to being vegan. I will say that I am a little surprised they don't have specifically vegan dishes on the menu, but they do have many that can be modified and have never nickel and dimed. Thank you! This last visit I had the avocado toast which typically comes with eggs. I asked if I could have the market vegetables on it instead. Although the server wasn't sure, my avocado toast came out wit the veggies. I have also had the skillet "veganized" with help of the server. And I have had a salad with the chicken substituted with the veggies. All in all I typically have a great meal and pretty good service every time I go. read more

Decided to give this place a try, plus I had a coupon. Place was extremely busy and wait time was somewhat long. But we decided to make the wait. Horrible customer service. Food took so long to come out and when it finally made it to our table, it was cold. The waiter was not attentive at all. Needed water refills, never got it. Asked for one to-go box and it took over 20 minutes! This place is somewhat pricey, since the portions were small, bland in flavor and room temp/cold; not worth it. I enjoyed eating at First Watch for breakfast yesterday. I have eaten at this location a couple other times and it is very consistent. I like how they give you the little coffee pot at the table. The coffee remains hot and is very fresh. I enjoy the variety of egg dishes they offer. They have such a large menu that you can eat here many times without ordering the same thing twice. It does get quite busy and expect a long wait, especially on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The waiting area is adequate but a lot of people just walk down the way to Publix to pass the time. Service here has been hit or miss but overall pretty pleasent. Yesterday, I ordered the Traditional which comes with two eggs, your choice of bacon or ham, chicken sausage patties, turkey or pork sausage links. You also get whole grain toast and seasoned potatoes. The food was very fresh. I also ordered a side of avocado toast. This was pretty good but I have tasted better avocado toast. I wish I could feel like I could give a higher rating because the food is pretty good at this First Watch. My issue is with the wait time, which is absolutely ridiculous. We waited almost 2 hours for a table. I'm not sure why the wait is always so long. We went in on a sunday fairly early, or so we thought. Drove by to see a ton of people waiting outside. So we checked in on Yelp for our table. Said 10:30 our table would be ready, ok not so bad. Then at 10:30 we went and they said it was still another 45min-1hour wait. WHAT!? We ended up walking down to Homegoods and finding chairs and sitting down because inside the restaurant was jam packed with people and there was standing room only, and no benches or chairs outside to wait. Finally at almost noon, we got there at 945a, we got to sit down and eat. By this time I'm starving. I ordered eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes and toast. I'm not sure if the food was as good as I thought, or if I was just extremely hungry. None of that food went to waste. The price wasn't too bad for the amount of food. read more

I loved the theme of the restaurant, the decoration and set up is very nice. We went on a Monday (labor day) and had about a 1hr 15min wait. We called in to make a reservation so by the time we drove over and waited it wasn't too long at all. Their credit card machines were down and they were unable to accept another customers coupons which, although I understand why they didn't, I don't agree with. Having worked in the food industry before, all of my managers always accepted coupons even if we were down, and those orders would simply be rung up later. The food was pretty great, not amazing as I was expecting, but still very enjoyable. We ordered: * a carrot cake pancake (not as great as we thought but I still liked it) * smoked salmon omelette (i didn't care for it but my boyfriend thought it was amazing) * elevated egg sandwich (pretty good but missing something, the arugula was the best part about it....) * butternut soup (i cant remember the exact kind of soup but it was amazing! I usually go to the Miami location, but I was in the area and was curious to see if there was consistencies between these locations, and there IS!! First Watch is one of my favorite breakfast chains. Why? The flavors are fresh, comforting, and super economic. You'll spend as much as you would at Denny's or IHOP, but you'll be eating cage-free eggs, drinking their delicious FRESH juice, and being served by the sweetest people. My favorite is the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which has avocado, over easy eggs, arugula, mayo, bacon, gruyere all on a warm brioche bun. It comes with a side of home style potatoes which is a MUST if you come here. Please do yourself a favor and order this as a side (most of them come with it!). I'm not sure how they do it, but it's so soft and perfectly seasoned, and with slices of onions. The whole thing has some char on it which makes these potatoes oh so magical! read more

Great place to grab breakfast during the week. I would not attempt to go to this location on the weekends because it's absolutely crazy and they have long waits. I recommend that you download their app so you can get on the wait list for a table. This will help with the long waits. You also won't feel so frustrated about seeing people sat before you after walking in after you. Besides the waits, the food at this location is tasty. I've had lunch items(Monterrey Club and soup) and breakfast items as well. They have a wide variety of items for breakfast including traditional eggs and bacon, fresh fruit and yogurt, freshly baked muffins(so delicious!!), Power bowls, pancakes, and fresh superfood smoothies. They have something for everyone. This place is always clean and quick service. The only reason they didn't get five stars is because of the long wait times on the weekends. Long wait times though are a testament to how good the food is and how people can't get enough. Prices are so affordable which also makes it a regular breakfast spot for us. read more

We order to go from this restaurant a lot. Today was the worst ever. Every bit of the order was wrong, the eggs were so raw they were supposed to be cooked over medium and they literally were raw. The bacon we asked for it to be crispy half of it was raw., The biscuits and gravy the gravy wasn't so spicy it was very hard to eat, we are not wimps we like spicy food. The skillet hash half of the potatoes were not cooked and the eggs were barely over easy, they were pretty much raw. The grits were good thank goodness something was good. The waffle was ordered without cinnamon sugar it came covered in cinnamon sugar. One of my pet peeves is somehow because it's a to go order you are not going to return it. Today we hit the Yelp jackpot! After a little shopping we were hungry. I really can't stand mall food so we decided to yelp something good to eat nearby. I loved that we were able to instantly get on the waiting list through Yelp. First Watch gave us a 5 minute check in time which was perfect because we were only half a mile away. Upon arrival they were friendly and immediatly checked us in. We were seated quickly and our server went above and beyond to explain the menu and the most popular items. I saw the pot roast hash special and couldn't resist. It came out hot in a small cast iron pan. The potatoes with onions and red peppers and beef with over easy eggs created a whole new level of comfort food for me. I only ate half so that I would only feel half guilty but truthfully I could have easily eaten the whole thing and left the toast and fruit behind. I've seen the other location in Pines and thought nothing of it but now I understand why so many Yelpers like this place. Run, don"t walk here if you are even thinking about eating here. read more

First Watch is not the great breakfast place it used to be. The last two times we have gone and ordered pancakes and a breakfast with eggs the food has been cold. The potatoes were like someone emptied the salt shaker on them. Our pancake was flat and cold! What is even worse when we asked for a booth which was open, the receptionist who was just standing around, said it needed to be cleared, but didn't offer to get it ready for us. We are old and was having issues sitting at certain spots. The only bright spot is the server Randy at the Kirkwood location. Melissa and Zara are absolutely fantastic and cater to all of your needs during your visit...their service is impeccable. If I could, I would eat at First Watch every day! If you ask my dad, this is to upscale for him. If you ask me, I love this place! A small chain breakfast, brunch and lunch joint fresh from the west coast of Florida. They have revolving and seasonal specials daily, carafes of coffee left at the table and the best million dollar bacon you could ask for. Wanna go during prime time? Get on the wait list before you go. Wait times can be up to an hour long. But with Yelp, you can get on the list with a push of a button so long as you arrive within 10 to 15 mins. One of my favorite dishes (aside from the bacon!) is the avocado toast. It's delicious, served with 2 eggs. It's perfectly seasoned, fresh and deliciously topped on thick crusty bread. The shrimp tacos are also very good and a treat when on the special. Be warned that they do not have hamburgers, only turkey burgers. This was a huge complaint from my dad. However he got the roast beef sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup and was very happy with it. read more
