    The Works Omelette

I really enjoyed sitting out on the patio. We were waiting on another person to join us . Once that person arrived, our orders were taken. It came out in a decent amount of time. The place was pretty full. The food was really good. My omelette was delicious. However once the food was brought, I didn't see the waitress again and so I ran out of drink. On my last bite she finally came back and asked if everything was all right and if I needed a refill --at that point I didn't. So that was a little disappointing. But otherwise great breakfast.

I love breakfast/brunch spots and had wanted to stop by since they opened but it's always so busy! We finally woke up early enough to be the very first customers! The inside is so cute, it's like sitting in a countryside barn but with bright decors and farm house style furniture. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl without beans and added potatoes. Hubby ordered the traditional with breakfast sausage. Then we also ordered the strawberry tres leches French toast and the million dollar bacon to share. Wanted to try a little bit of everything! All were so good and the portions were big!

Really fresh Homemade Juices, very clean and well managed. Our Server was excellent, attentive and very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. We will return.

The food was decent, but nothing on the menu really made a lasting impression or stood out flavor-wise. It wasn't bad by any means--just fairly average overall. The service moved slowly, but with the heavy Sunday morning rush and the restaurant still being a newer spot, I gave them some grace. Still, it's something they'll hopefully tighten up as they settle in. Parking was probably the biggest frustration. With so many shops packed into the same area, finding a spot felt like its own challenge, and it definitely adds time to the outing before you even get inside. Once you're in, though, the space itself is charming. The décor is cute, thoughtfully put together, and gives the restaurant a cozy, upbeat atmosphere. I also loved the addition of both a bar and a patio--they're small touches that make the place feel more versatile and enjoyable. Honestly, next time I think I'll skip the wait for a regular table and head straight for the bar. It seems like the perfect spot to settle in with a Bloody Mary or a mimosa and actually enjoy the downtime instead of feeling like you're just waiting. One thing they absolutely got right is the online waitlist. It made the whole process so much smoother and saved us from having to stand around outside for an hour or more. For a busy weekend morning, that convenience alone goes a long way.

On 2/14/2026, we arrived at First Watch at 2:20 PM -- just 10 minutes before closing. We honestly weren't sure if we'd be able to dine in. Initially, a team member let us know they were closed and that the grills had been turned off. She kindly said she would check with the kitchen to confirm. While we were waiting, a hostess approached and immediately seated us. I explained that someone was double-checking whether we could even be seated since closing time was so close. There was a bit of confusion for a few minutes regarding whether grill items like pancakes and waffles were still available. We decided to keep it simple and order soup and sandwiches. But before we finalized our order, the original team member came back and let us know the grill was actually still on if we wanted breakfast after all -- which we appreciated. My husband ordered the Monterey Club with tomato basil soup and said it was amazing. I had the Ham and Gruyère Melt with chicken and rice soup. The sandwich was absolutely delicious -- perfectly toasted and flavorful. The soup, in my opinion, was a little mild, but still comforting. What truly made this a 5-star experience was the follow-up. The first young lady returned and introduced herself as Karen, the General Manager. She sincerely apologized for the earlier confusion and graciously provided us with a gift card to come back and experience the restaurant again. The way the situation was handled speaks volumes about the leadership and customer care here. We left feeling valued and appreciated -- especially considering we walked in right before closing. That level of professionalism and hospitality deserves recognition. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch with coworkers at the First Watch in Surprise. We were seated in under 5 minutes (bless whoever runs that host stand). After that, service was a bit of a magic act, our server appeared and disappeared like a part-time illusionist. Pretty sure she was also running the bar, which explains the vanishing acts. Food-wise: everything tasted fresh, but the flavors felt shy. I got the Power Wrap, which lived up to the "power" (very wholesome) but not the "wow." I found myself wishing for salt or hot sauce to wake it up. My coworkers ordered a range, the Trifecta, a salad-and-sandwich combo, soup, and bacon. The table verdict: "good," but only one person said they'd come back specifically for it. Cleanliness was... clean-ish. The table looked wiped down, but the seats were still wet when my coworker sat, unexpectedly interactive dining. Consider it the "spa chair" experience, but maybe bring a towel. What would bump this to 4 stars: * A little more seasoning or sauces offered up front. * Tighter coverage on the floor if staff are bartending and serving. * A quick dry check on seats after cleaning. Bottom line: Fast seating, fresh ingredients, friendly vibe, but the flavors and service rhythm need a nudge. I may try it again for breakfast but only with a bottle of hot sauce in my pocket.

OMG the Trifecta is a great deal for $13 plus change. Look at the pile of bacon and the beautiful waffle....served with warm tableside maple syrup. Farmhouse Hash is my go to. The sun-dried tomatoes, onions and caramelized potatoes were perfectly cooked. One avocado slice was a bit dark with oxidation. Skip the Lines: Love the QR code payment option.

This is the first time we came to this location. As consistent with First watch, everything was fresh and delicious. There wasn't a long wait to be seated or to get our food. The place was clean and small but cute. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is a good place to come eat when you're the neighborhood. I had the rustica frittata which was amazing. The potatoes are yummy and don't miss out on getting that delicious French toast.

Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich Blazing Dragon

Not the greatest visit. I was aware that on a holiday it would be busy so I placed my to-go order with that in mind. But it was exceedingly frustrating to see my food/drink sitting in the kitchen for 10 minutes. I brought it up to the hostess and her attitude was very dismissive. I'm sorry but NO ONE likes to have their food cold. I tried one of their new seasonal items, the maple bacon croissant sandwich. It was absolutely SMOTHERED in the apricot jam as was my potatoes since they were in the same box. I don't mind jam but I don't need it all over everything!! I literally had to wipe half of it away. It just tasted and reeked of the jam so it was very disappointing. It made the croissant so mushy on the bottom, also didn't help that it sat there for 10 min like I previous mentioned. The only redeeming item was the new drink, the blazing dragon. That was sooo good and refreshing!! I wish it had come in a larger size!

An entertaining breakfast with extended family. Our server, Aiden, was excellent. He's a very good server. Very thorough, professional and charismatic. He explained everything on the menu and was especially comforting. A really good server. Food was very good. Not great. The Billion Dollar Bacon (or whatever it was called) was overhyped and sticky. The hollandaise sauce was PERFECT! And the Benedict was awesome. I tried a bite of everything on the table. Others had some fruit type breakfast drinks/cocktails that looked good, but I didn't taste. A fun and fulfilling breakfast experience. CritDicks

I met one of my friends here for brunch on Tuesday and as always it's packed! People sitting outside and enjoying themselves as well as people eating inside and enjoying themselves and the food! It's enough space for small and big groups! Fresh and clean inside with a full bar! We had the purple haze which is delicious! I make sure to order one of the beauties every time I eat here. The kale tonic is bomb as well! We also had the million dollar bacon... my favorite!!!!!!!! Million dollar potatoes, my other favorite!!!!!! The avocado toast on sourdough, egg-white omelette with spinach, tomato and some other goodies, side of fruit, and multi-grain pancakes were all very good! I love eating here! The servers are amazing and very helpful with making sure the order is correct. They offer suggestions that are actually good and they seem to like their job!

The service was great. It was a little loud in the restaurant, to the point the waitress also mentioned it, but we were still able to hold conversation. The food was just okay. The potatoes had a nice flavor to them but they were over salted. The gravy was nothing special. The chocolate chip pancake was good. The bacon was a little undercooked for my liking. The chicken Apple sausage seemed heavy on the chicken side, but again, just okay. The waffle was cooked perfectly and the fruit and warmed syrup was delicious. The biscuit from the biscuits and gravy, was fluffy with a fantastic crunch on the bottom. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other similar restaurants.

Feel free to post my full visit from your security footage! My husband, kids, and I stopped in for an early dinner, we had never been but see the reviews online so we wanted to try it out! Getting seated, we didn't want a high top and it was the only thing available. The hostesses couldn't give us an estimate of what the wait time would be for a different table, but I'm realizing after our horrendous experience- they probably weren't trained. We ended up just taking the high top to negate any further confusion with a time estimate. It's crowded inside, and your table is crowded. The energy and atmosphere is tense and overwhelming. It's a sports bar, though- so I feel like that's consistent with any other sports bar you'd pop in to. We decided on the build your own appetizer to start, it came out room temperature. While our server was taking our order for the rest of the food (there was apparently an issue with the table next to ours and their food being taken to the incorrect table, again with poor training) the manager went out to the table next to ours to deliver food and turned to the server at my table, taking my order, and interrupted me to yell at her. He yelled at her about putting the incorrect table on the tickets and the food going to the wrong table, yelled at her the right table numbers( I guess for her to remember next time?), and then stormed off. Leaving our server, to pick up the pieces and apologize for an emotionally triggered man that should have some self control if he's leading a team or part of a company. I was absolutely disgusted with the behavior of the leadership in this establishment and the food was unremarkable. Cold, bland, and stingy is how I would describe the food we were served. There were barely any cheese curds on the Poutine, The Ole Smokey pizza was mediocre and the pasta was bland. I think this restaurant rides the coattails of being on the food network but it does not meet expectations, by far. There is a lack of training all around and that falls on leadership, only. The hostesses couldn't give a wait time, the bartender was over serving customers (I'm reporting that separately to the state), and the servers/runners aren't fully trained for the floor- but instead of teaching, training and finding a resolution- their lead will berate and belittle them to satisfy his ego and ruin your experience. I'm actually grateful the food was as mediocre as it was because I'm happy to never be back.

She was so kind, super attentive, and made a point to make eye contact and engage with everyone at the table. It was my dad's birthday, and they brought out a birthday treat for him, which was such a nice, thoughtful touch. However, the check-in process was very uncomfortable. The host who greeted us didn't make eye contact with me at all, a person with a disability. Instead of speaking to me directly, he asked the person I was with if I needed a child's menu. As an adult, being talked about rather than talked to was rude and honestly pretty embarrassing. It would have been much more professional to provide standard menus for everyone or just ask me directly if I needed anything specific. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious: The bread and butter were warm and a great start. We had the bruschetta and a shrimp appetizer, both were hits. Our table ordered the cheeseburger and fries, the salmon, and two orders of the short ribs. Everyone loved their meal and had zero complaints about the food quality. The restaurant was packed and had a high-energy vibe, but the music was way too loud, it made it a bit hard to talk. The lighting was also a bit strange; it was very dark, and at several points, the lights would flicker or completely turn off and on again, which was a bit distracting. If you want to go on a Sunday evening like we did (6:00 PM), definitely plan ahead! We made our reservation a couple of days before, but by the time our day arrived, they were completely booked. I'd recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance to be safe. I would definitely come back for the food and the excellent waitstaff service, but I really hope management works with their hosting team on how to treat every guest with basic respect and direct communication.

We noticed we had a newer waitress, as we've visited this location a few times before. She still did a great job with service and made sure to get our happy hour drink orders in before the cutoff. Happy hour is available during the week until 6 PM and includes select drink and food specials. Drinks start around $5 and up, while food specials are about $12 depending on what you order. They also offer lunch specials from 11 AM to 3 PM during the week (I'm not sure if this applies on weekends, so I'd recommend checking ahead of time). One thing I do recommend is downloading their app so you can sign up for rewards and earn points on your purchases. You just give your server your phone number to receive points. It would be even more convenient if they allowed you to scan your receipt yourself in the app, but that feature isn't available yet. This restaurant is located in the Prasada area in Surprise, surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining options like Firebirds, Blue Sushi, Kohl's, Fat Cats, TJ Maxx, Ulta, and more, which makes it a great spot to visit while you're out and about. Overall, our food was made per our order notes. We ordered the southwestern burger well done with fries and we also ordered another burger with fries as well. I wish Fry's automatically come with the water so you do not get a up charge of $2.50 but if you come for lunch, Fry's is automatically included with your order on a select burger without an additional charge.

We ordered a glass of wine to start off and then ordered the main course. I had the Friday special which was fish and chips with homemade coke slaw. Cathy had the lamb dish which was exquisite. For desert, we shared a slice of baclava cheesecake which was amazing. The prices were reasonable and the service from Patrick was top notch. This is a scratch kitchen so everything they serve you is made fresh by their kitchen staff. I highly recommend reservations as the facility is small and gets busy quick. We will definitely be back!

In an area (Surprise) with a lot of chain restaurants, it's nice to have a gem like The Toast! It's a beautiful somewhat cozy space... that provides patrons enough space to enjoy their conversations (and meals)! Having celiac, it can oftentimes be a challenge for me to trust that I am ordering something gluten-free. At The Toast, we had a fantastic server who also had celiac, so I knew I could follow her recommendations on what was safe for me to eat! That made me so happy! I went with the Prime Rib Tacos... and I have been dreaming about them since! You get three good-sized tacos, so I was able to bring plenty home for another meal. The Prime Rib Tacos are AMAZING!! As steakhouses go, this is the best we've found in the west valley. Yea, you have Fleming's and now…read moreMorton's - and those are certainly excellent- but I put those in a different category really. A steak there is $80 and everything is a-la-carte and $30 more. So it's more of a special/high-end experience. Longhorn, by contrast, is a more "every day" family steakhouse experience. It's what a good old-fashioned steakhouse should be. If you want to go into a dark, wood-paneled, bar-like establishment with red vinyl booths and mob bosses meeting in back rooms, you're better off at something like Durant's. This is not that. What great steak! As I said, the best we've had in the west valley. Excellent cuts, top quality meats. Cooked perfectly and as asked for. Tender, flavorful steak and the best baby-back ribs Ive ever had. For once they're not drenched in sticky-sweet, cheap BBQ sauce and overcooked. Nope, these were moist and fork-tender. The burgers are fantastic and the ribeye is juicy and full of flavor. The sirloin is top notch and the "Flo's Special" filet mignon is just perfect. The sides here are particularly good. The broccoli is unusually good and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese is legendary. It's hearty and gooey and very cheesy. Excellent. The potatoes are standard but very tasty and come with all the fixings. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake is my favorite. It's delicate and not cloyingly sweet. It's a delicate, light, fresh-tasting and very moist cake. The perfect finish to an excellent meal. You can't go wrong here. It's always packed, so do the waitlist before you arrive. Really good.

A friend and I visited this restaurant on 06/22/2026 at 9:00am for breakfast. The dining area was not busy with just 3-4 tables occupied and a few people at the barstools. I was seated quickly by a hostess and given two menus while waiting for my friend to arrive. Menu: it's about the size of a Sears Catalog (exaggeration but about 8+ pages front and back) and appears to serve food approved by the United Nations (food from different parts of the world). This is the type of menu Gordon Ramsey would go crazy over and shred to pieces. Portions are not larger than before but prices increased considerably! Food: I ordered a Veggie Omelette with Spinach added and Whole Wheat Toast, decaf coffee, and water. My friend ordered an all-meat skillet, sourdough toast, coffee, and water. The omelette/skillet was overcooked and dry. My friend sent back his toast because it was served with a MOLD SPOT on it. Our server was not swayed by the mold and replaced it. No apologies or contact from the managers. By this point, we just didn't want to finish what we ordered and left. Dining room is well lit and spacious. Lots of available seating but could not help that their "Grand Opening" sign has been hanging outside for WEEKS. Servers are slow and never seem to be pleasant (more melancholy). Overheard one server speaking with some guests at a table using profanity. This review was based on my individual experience. This used to be our favorite breakfast spot but clearly is no longer the case. Having watched the gradual decline in quality and service, I am no longer inspired to spend my money at AZ Diner.
