Limited time Blueberry Lemon Cornbread (yummy)
    Tisha R.

First Watch is a favorite! I recently enjoyed the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread in another state. When I checked the app, the limited-time Blueberry Lemon Cornbread was still available. Yes, here I come for dine in. I enjoyed my omelette. Hubby liked his breakfast after it was replaced. The fried eggs, sausage and pancakes may have sat under the A/C because it was all cold. Our server was excellent & attentive and the music wasn't as loud as it normally is. The other staff members were also pleasant. First Watch remains a favorite!

    Monterey Club with tomato soup

On 2/14/2026, we arrived at First Watch at 2:20 PM -- just 10 minutes before closing. We honestly weren't sure if we'd be able to dine in. Initially, a team member let us know they were closed and that the grills had been turned off. She kindly said she would check with the kitchen to confirm. While we were waiting, a hostess approached and immediately seated us. I explained that someone was double-checking whether we could even be seated since closing time was so close. There was a bit of confusion for a few minutes regarding whether grill items like pancakes and waffles were still available. We decided to keep it simple and order soup and sandwiches. But before we finalized our order, the original team member came back and let us know the grill was actually still on if we wanted breakfast after all -- which we appreciated. My husband ordered the Monterey Club with tomato basil soup and said it was amazing. I had the Ham and Gruyère Melt with chicken and rice soup. The sandwich was absolutely delicious -- perfectly toasted and flavorful. The soup, in my opinion, was a little mild, but still comforting. What truly made this a 5-star experience was the follow-up. The first young lady returned and introduced herself as Karen, the General Manager. She sincerely apologized for the earlier confusion and graciously provided us with a gift card to come back and experience the restaurant again. The way the situation was handled speaks volumes about the leadership and customer care here. We left feeling valued and appreciated -- especially considering we walked in right before closing. That level of professionalism and hospitality deserves recognition. We'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed sitting out on the patio. We were waiting on another person to join us . Once that person arrived, our orders were taken. It came out in a decent amount of time. The place was pretty full. The food was really good. My omelette was delicious. However once the food was brought, I didn't see the waitress again and so I ran out of drink. On my last bite she finally came back and asked if everything was all right and if I needed a refill --at that point I didn't. So that was a little disappointing. But otherwise great breakfast.

I love breakfast/brunch spots and had wanted to stop by since they opened but it's always so busy! We finally woke up early enough to be the very first customers! The inside is so cute, it's like sitting in a countryside barn but with bright decors and farm house style furniture. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles breakfast bowl without beans and added potatoes. Hubby ordered the traditional with breakfast sausage. Then we also ordered the strawberry tres leches French toast and the million dollar bacon to share. Wanted to try a little bit of everything! All were so good and the portions were big!

The food was decent, but nothing on the menu really made a lasting impression or stood out flavor-wise. It wasn't bad by any means--just fairly average overall. The service moved slowly, but with the heavy Sunday morning rush and the restaurant still being a newer spot, I gave them some grace. Still, it's something they'll hopefully tighten up as they settle in. Parking was probably the biggest frustration. With so many shops packed into the same area, finding a spot felt like its own challenge, and it definitely adds time to the outing before you even get inside. Once you're in, though, the space itself is charming. The décor is cute, thoughtfully put together, and gives the restaurant a cozy, upbeat atmosphere. I also loved the addition of both a bar and a patio--they're small touches that make the place feel more versatile and enjoyable. Honestly, next time I think I'll skip the wait for a regular table and head straight for the bar. It seems like the perfect spot to settle in with a Bloody Mary or a mimosa and actually enjoy the downtime instead of feeling like you're just waiting. One thing they absolutely got right is the online waitlist. It made the whole process so much smoother and saved us from having to stand around outside for an hour or more. For a busy weekend morning, that convenience alone goes a long way.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch with coworkers at the First Watch in Surprise. We were seated in under 5 minutes (bless whoever runs that host stand). After that, service was a bit of a magic act, our server appeared and disappeared like a part-time illusionist. Pretty sure she was also running the bar, which explains the vanishing acts. Food-wise: everything tasted fresh, but the flavors felt shy. I got the Power Wrap, which lived up to the "power" (very wholesome) but not the "wow." I found myself wishing for salt or hot sauce to wake it up. My coworkers ordered a range, the Trifecta, a salad-and-sandwich combo, soup, and bacon. The table verdict: "good," but only one person said they'd come back specifically for it. Cleanliness was... clean-ish. The table looked wiped down, but the seats were still wet when my coworker sat, unexpectedly interactive dining. Consider it the "spa chair" experience, but maybe bring a towel. What would bump this to 4 stars: * A little more seasoning or sauces offered up front. * Tighter coverage on the floor if staff are bartending and serving. * A quick dry check on seats after cleaning. Bottom line: Fast seating, fresh ingredients, friendly vibe, but the flavors and service rhythm need a nudge. I may try it again for breakfast but only with a bottle of hot sauce in my pocket.

    Farmhouse Hash

OMG the Trifecta is a great deal for $13 plus change. Look at the pile of bacon and the beautiful waffle....served with warm tableside maple syrup. Farmhouse Hash is my go to. The sun-dried tomatoes, onions and caramelized potatoes were perfectly cooked. One avocado slice was a bit dark with oxidation. Skip the Lines: Love the QR code payment option.

Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich Blazing Dragon

Not the greatest visit. I was aware that on a holiday it would be busy so I placed my to-go order with that in mind. But it was exceedingly frustrating to see my food/drink sitting in the kitchen for 10 minutes. I brought it up to the hostess and her attitude was very dismissive. I'm sorry but NO ONE likes to have their food cold. I tried one of their new seasonal items, the maple bacon croissant sandwich. It was absolutely SMOTHERED in the apricot jam as was my potatoes since they were in the same box. I don't mind jam but I don't need it all over everything!! I literally had to wipe half of it away. It just tasted and reeked of the jam so it was very disappointing. It made the croissant so mushy on the bottom, also didn't help that it sat there for 10 min like I previous mentioned. The only redeeming item was the new drink, the blazing dragon. That was sooo good and refreshing!! I wish it had come in a larger size!

This is the first time we came to this location. As consistent with First watch, everything was fresh and delicious. There wasn't a long wait to be seated or to get our food. The place was clean and small but cute. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is a good place to come eat when you're the neighborhood. I had the rustica frittata which was amazing. The potatoes are yummy and don't miss out on getting that delicious French toast.

An entertaining breakfast with extended family. Our server, Aiden, was excellent. He's a very good server. Very thorough, professional and charismatic. He explained everything on the menu and was especially comforting. A really good server. Food was very good. Not great. The Billion Dollar Bacon (or whatever it was called) was overhyped and sticky. The hollandaise sauce was PERFECT! And the Benedict was awesome. I tried a bite of everything on the table. Others had some fruit type breakfast drinks/cocktails that looked good, but I didn't taste. A fun and fulfilling breakfast experience. CritDicks

    Morning Meditation with easy ice

The food is nutritious with healthy ingredients; egg whites, sliced whole tomatoes and dark greens. The service is great considering the wait and a full restaurant on a Sunday morning! The ambiance is welcoming and very clean.

I got the kids steak meal which included their bread, parm mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese. The steak was seasoned well and good to medium like I ordered. The parm mash had a well balanced subtle flavor but that Mac n cheese was the highlight. There was a smokiness to the cheese and just so good plus the pasta shape is a bonus and allowed for the cheese to stick to it all! The packaging was great too! The bread was a fantastic start: hot, crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside (a solid opening act for the meal). The service was excellent. Joseph was bubbly, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The team clearly puts in effort; my wife noted he was "giving 100." Even the little detail of the hot towel at the end felt like a nice, polished touch. The food was a mixed bag, though. We tried the "Perfect Pair" lunch special, and I think the portion sizes were better suited for a younger eater than an adult. On the bright side, the chicken tortilla soup was a standout, flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The salmon club was also pretty good. The smash burger, unfortunately, was smaller and lacked punch...the bun seemed to take center stage over the actual meat. The mac and cheese was gooey but felt totally forgettable. One heads-up for future visitors: depending on where you sit, you might catch an occasional STRONG restroom smell. It's a lot less of a dealbreaker than the burger portion size, but something to know. Overall, it's worth visiting if you appreciate the modern aesthetic, the quality of the soup, and the great service from people like Joseph. (We did, however, have a bit of a digestive disagreement later in the evening, not sure if it was the salmon club, but the stomach disagreed with the plate.)

The gravy from the chicken fried steak was also a hit! The food was 95% good, but there were a couple of hiccups. The hash browns were burnt darker than dark. I feel like they should've never made it out of the kitchen. Also, the jalapeño cheddar biscuit was very thick and stodgy. I also got a specialty latte (can't remember which) and that was bitter and not at all something I'd get again. To recap: you can't go wrong with the pancakes or chicken fried steak. Make sure to ask for salsa. Skip the latte. Overall the experience was great and I'd go back next time we're in town.

Drivers are treated like an inconvenience and can be left waiting 15 minutes or longer. Even when an order is already bagged and ready behind the counter, staff refuse to hand it over. Instead, drivers are told to "wait up front" while completed orders sit there until several deliveries can be taken out at once. Customers pay for timely delivery, yet their completed orders are intentionally delayed for the store's convenience. Drivers are dispatched to pick up orders within expected timeframes, and when completed orders are deliberately held for 15 minutes or more instead of being released, it deprives customers of the timely service they paid for and amounts to what many would consider theft of that service. The attitude is just as bad as the delays. Staff speak to drivers like they're children, with a smug, condescending attitude, and even laugh while drivers are left standing there waiting. Wasting a driver's time is wasting their income, and deliberately holding completed orders means customers aren't receiving the prompt service they paid for. It's disrespectful to the drivers, unfair to the customers, and completely unprofessional.
