Just a surprisingly great lunch. Wife and I stopped there yesterday and had heard so much about First Watch (we're not Tampa natives, have been here 2 years), and decided to stop in. There was a 10 minute wait as the brunch crowd was leaving. We were sat in the back by the kitchen, right under air conditioning. When we asked to be moved, the waitress could not have been more accommodating and moved us to a great table on the opposite side. We proceeded to order a great meal. The 1/2 + 1/2 combo was a fair deal, and you could tell that everything was made with love, and ingredients were fresh. There are plenty of brunch places in Tampa that are much better for the same price. Our food took awhile and when it came out it was sorta warm. I'm pretty sure there was no cheese in my omelette which was a big disappointment, cheese is obviously the best part. Well, this morning I got off to a good start visiting First Watch in Henderson. I've always liked thier menu options. Staff are always friendly. Today I ordered me a Power Wrap. Whats included is Egg whites, turkey, spinach, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms and Mozzarella in a sun-dried tomato-basil tortilla. Served with fresh fruit and a side of housemade pico de gallo. Absolutely deliciou. I also tried tried out thier Watermelon Get up morning drink in thier summer special menu. Definitely recommend the drink. The mint and pineapple gives it a awesome taste. Been to First Watch in Orlando and another spot in Tampa and this location is my favorite. Coffee is always good and food was delicious. Got the pumpkin pancakes with scrambled eggs and they were absolutely divine. Highly recommend. I had the sweetest server ever, pretty sure his name was Santi, and will absolutely be coming back here. If you're looking for a brunch spot, you found it. I saw someone else complaining about $4 for coffee but I mean... where can you find cheaper coffee? And you get the whole pot .... If I could give negative stars I would. If you want to get diarrhea, or possibly food poisoning from under cooked food I would recommend this place otherwise go somewhere else. Even when your the first order here and no one is in the restaurant, your still will get raw bacon and undercooked food! So gross, they need to hire better cooks. Treated my mom to a delicious first time visit to First Watch. She had the triFecta, I had the lemon ricotta pancakes and my daughter had the chia pudding with granola and berries. The only thing I can say the million dollar bacon is definitely different from the one I had in Arizona. In Az they use a very thick cut bacon; this establishment uses just a thin cut which to me wasn't worth the price. Ask before you buy, they might have been substituting that day. 5/1/2022 Our breakfast was wonderful and the waiting staff was wonderful. But, the checkout was terrible. Had to wait 15 minutes, just to pay our bill. The cashier was too busy taking takeout orders. Just a suggestion, instead of cashier taking takeout orders have the waiter or waitress take the orders. There was a line of four people trying to pay their bill and getting very upset for the wait. As anticipated and consistently delivered from First Watch, this visit was nothing short of excellent. The service we received and the quality and amount of food met my high expectations. Always flavorful and able to be customized according to personal preferences, the entrees are on my favorites list for breakfast or first meal of the day. Brittany, our server, was quite attentive and was prompt with our requests. Parking is never and issue and if you go on weekdays there usually isn't a wait. They have two high top tables available for seating in the front to the right of the restaurant by the blackboard where they advertise the specials and features menu items. If there aren't any regular tables or booths readily available you can seat yourself at one of these without the wait. The tables themselves are pretty spacious and you receive the regular service there. I think First Watch is a great place for breakfast or lunch at any time. The service is consistently stellar and the quality of food is outstanding. It continues to be my go to breakfast/brunch place. read more

Always a yummy breakfast or brunch spot! I got my usual - avocado toast - super yummy! On whole grain toast, they mash up Fresh avocado and mix it with lemon and salt and pepper. You just take your fork and knife and dig the heck in! Omg. So healthy and tasty. It also comes with eggs which where good, but I ignored those for my second order.... Blueberry whole grain pancakes!!! It's a pancake as big as your head and comes with warm syrup and butter and this strawberry preserves on the side that just makes the whole experience so exciting! I was craving brunch during quarantine so my roommate and I ordered delivery from here. It was so good that I'd be okay with making this a weekend thing as long as they stay open. I ordered the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and the banana crunch pancake. I was thinking the pancake would be normal size since it was only $6 but I was very wrong. It was delicious and bigger than my head. Between the bowl and the pancake there was no way I was finishing this. My roommate also got the bowl and devoured it! The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and everything mixed in was delicious. She also wanted the yogurt and granola cup, which is huge and amazing. We each ordered the drinks, one kale and one morning meditation. The kale was good, but I think next time I will get the other. Both were good though! To make our order qualify for an Uber eats promotion we added the bag of granola to our order. It is so good! I would also recommend getting a loaf of their bread too. Great restaurant chain. Most are usually great but the one at the Tampa N Westshore location is horrible. Five times, five mistakes. First time they sit me and nobody comes to offer coffee or anything for 5-8 minutes. Another time, I asked for the bill, I got it 10 minutes later after I stood up to get it at the cashier. Another time, the bacon I ordered with the trifecta never came. Another time, I asked for water three times and never got it. Another time I ordered a morning meditation that never came. And regularly they have 6-7 servers so the delays and forgetfulness of service are not acceptable. I mentioned it to the manager after they sat me down and forgot about me for 5 minutes and not even a coffee which is usually automatic. Have been wanting to try this place out for a few months now and I'm so glad I did! I went on a Saturday around 11, and it was quite busy; we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. The restaurant is rather small; it's located in a shopping plaza and seating seems limited compared to the demand. The food and service are so worth the wait, so don't let that deter you! The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is bright and sunshine-y. Our waitress was very nice and welcoming. She was able to take our orders quickly and effectively. First Watch is one of my favorite places for brunch! The first time I went to First Watch was at the downtown location. I decided to try this location since there is more space for parking. The restaurant is located in the same parking lot as TJ Maxx. It's a little smaller than the downtown location but not as busy! (A little tip for beating brunch hour rush!) Their menu offers fresh and healthy food. They also use fresh seasonal produce from local growers! Talk about supporting your community! I started off with the Morning Meditation drink. Can I just tell you how refreshing it taste?! The drink had orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. Cost was $3.99. Really good price for fresh juice! I ordered the cornbread carnitas bowl and substituted the pork for cajun chicken. The bowl had pork carnitas, grilled cornbread topped with two poached cage-free eggs, black beans, pico de gallo, cotija cheese, avocado, lime crema and fresh cilantro. It was soooo good and only $10.29! It was very filling and didn't feel heavy! My friend had the BLT eggs benedict which was topped with bacon, tomato, avocado and lemon-dressed arugula. She asked for a side of seasoned potatoes and all for $10.99! Their hostess and servers were all so friendly! Both locations are great! Decided to check out First Watch for breakfast while in Tampa, Florida. We had a party of 9 with two small children and they were able to accommodate us at the same table. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. A true team effort and they appear to really enjoy working there. The food arrived promptly, as well. The menu is an oxymoron in a way - and that's a compliment. It's simple in appearance yet offers a plethora of options for everyone's needs. I went with the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos (pictured) and a side of seasoned potatoes. I am usually a basic breakfast guy, but I decided to branch out this time and I couldn't have been happier. The presentation was on point and the taste exceeded that. The Cajun chicken, chorizo, and Monterey Jack cheese was a perfect combination in the wheat-corn tortillas. The pico de gallo was delicious and the black bean side dish was a highlight of my meal. The breakfast potatoes were bountiful and I didn't even finish them because I was stuffed - which is a rarity for me. Every person at our table truly enjoyed their meal and one of my guests raved about her Frittata Rustica egg white omelette. We will definitely dine at First Watch again. read more
