I haven't been to Waffle House in 20 years and it's exactly what I expected a greasy spoon restaurant. I would definitely come back. The food was great priced well and the service was amazing.

Such a truly fulfilling meal we enjoyed at the Waffle House on N West Shore Blvd. The all star special had everything I could ask for and more. Bacon, hash browns, toast with grape jelly, scrambled eggs & a blueberry waffle really hit the spot. The customer service was top notch. Very kind and attentive customer service was on display the entire visit. The cheesteak melt was very delicious as the steak was seasoned to perfection along with a sizzling temperature. Be sure to stop by Waffle House if ever in the area or looking for a bite to eat at any time of the day!

There are going to be bagels at my staff meeting here in Tampa but I don't eat bagels when I'm on my keto diet so I stopped at the Waffle House to load up on protein and not be tempted by carbs. Quiet on a Tuesday morning, but a full crew and a few very regulars who came in and ordered their usuals. Friendly folks. I had a Fiesta omelet with whole wheat toast (only ate one slice) and coffee. Super easy and quick. The cook put it together perfectly and I was ready to eat in a couple of minutes. Awesome. Lots of work being done, not a lot of leaning or chatting. This was a good experience today. [Review 18826 overall - 1551 in Florida - 2349 of 2022.]

All Star Special- scrambled eggs, toast, grits, bacon and the waffle.

Waffle House has been around for as long as I can remember. It's always consistent and not too many changes. Also, breakfast for dinner is always good. I usually get the All Star Special because it's very affordable and get a lot of food. Normally, I get scrambled eggs, wheat toast, grits, bacon, a waffle and orange. Sometimes, I usually save the waffle for the next day. Lately, Waffle House has not been staying open for 24 hours due to staffing shortage. Go when you know it's open. The staff works very hard and very friendly.

On a day when people need somewhere ti sit down and eat and get through the devastation, you decide to do to go only?? Plenty of employees walking around, explain seriously what the h are you thinking? limited menu you're already overcharging on and you wanna make everyone pay to go prices on top of that?? So many people lost everything and you want to milk it! You just killed your sales today! watch everyone go to Ihop!! I genuinely hope they do!

I love Waffle House! I live in California so I only get to eat at Waffle House when I'm out of the state. I went to this location and received GREAT service from the staff (they even gave me a Waffle House hat). I ordered the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt (hold the onions) with hash browns and a chocolate chip waffle. The meal was wonderful. The coffee I had was GREAT as was the orange juice. The price is right (very low). People are kind. Food was yummy. Go if you can for some greasy breakfast food.

Five stars all day long in my book ! Don't get these where I'm from so when in town need to carve out some time to come for breakfast. Always go with pecan waffle as that is best way to get ..perfectly cooked and good size....toss in a grilled biscuit in lieu of toast with any side meat bacon or sausage and comes out perfectly crisp. Sometimes not a need for fancy food on a business trip ...this is just pure comfort foods Matt did a great job as service his first day on the job ! Recommend!

I was pleased to see that the restaurant offered complementary valet, and was seated immediately upon arrival. Our server, Matt, greeted us expeditiously and was very friendly. He answered all about the questions about the menu with kindness and honesty. We decided to share a steak with sides and a salad. I was optimistic because the steak included one complementary side... sadly that deal probably should've been my indicator of quality. The food was not bad, but it also wasn't very good. In the restaurant defense, I did not realize it was a chain, so I'd say if you go in with expectations that you were eating at a chain restaurant you might be pleased with the output. Not having that knowledge beforehand, I found the steak to be extremely salty (it resembled a steak you would cook at home and top with the McCormick grilling seasonings -- very coarse) and the mac & cheese side to be very gritty (although the truffle flavor was nice). Despite the food being so far, we enjoyed our entire time at the restaurant and no small part due to our server. It wasn't until we left the restaurant and reflected on the evening that we came to the conclusion that the food was run of the mill and Matt was what made the experience positive. Because Tampa is such a vibrant food city, I don't imagine myself coming back when presented with the option to eat at a local restaurant; however, if I were in an area that only had chain or franchise meal options and I saw a Del Frisco's, I would probably return.
