I was there on a Monday at 11:30 am and waited for a good half hour to be seated. The restaurant was more than half empty and many tables were not clean. The staff was very friendly, but I was very surprised with the service. We were a party of four and we ordered four hot meals, but when they brought out our food, the food was more on the cold side; barely warm. The waitress never came back to the table to check and see if we needed anything. The staff moved around very casual, as if they had no energy. The supervision is lacking. I only saw one cook from where I was sitting and then saw a person come to assist for a short while. The tables were empty, but occupied with dirty plates. After we were done with our Luke warm meals, we waited for a good 20 minutes thinking the waitress would come to give us our bill, but no one came by. I had to go to the checkout counter and wait another 7 minutes before I found someone to ring me up. I have been to a First Watch before in Florida, and this was definitely not my experience. Every time I come here everything is always spot on and delicious. But even more important to me is that the staff is always so accommodating and nice. I am vegetarian, foodie and a very healthy eater so I tend to tweak offerings at restaurants to best fit my needs. The wait staff and kitchen always accommodates my sometimes very unusual requests with a smile and a "no problem". I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Tanasia was my helper today and was awesome and sweet! Another very nice staff member remembered us and came to say hello as well. And the manager always checks in to make sure everything is good. I took my family for brunch on Memorial Day. I noticed this place while shopping at Costco. The wait wasn't that bad...30 minutes. The service subpar - let's just say we got our food before utensils and napkins! When our food finally arrived it came cold. I literally put my hands on the food in front of the manager and showed him. My wife ordered a waffle and it was not cooked thoroughly. We all ordered eggs and each set was runny. I ordered the famous turkey sausage & biscuits and even after I sent my food back, it was cold to touch and taste. My wife paid and spoke to the manager as we left - he offered an apology. I know people usually look for free food, but this isn't the case. The food and the service was not up to par today! Came here for breakfast with my two year old and 2 month old. We ordered coffee, i got a scramble, my husband got eggs and a kids pancake, plus coffee and one of their juices. Juice never came. 25 minutes for a pot of cold half filled pot of coffee my scramble (asked for eggs over well) came out with a raw egg, bo exaggeration it was actually raw egg white running and all. Husband never got his side of bacon and this is all while waiting 45 minutes for breakfast to come out. Told the waiter he said "ok" asked for the bill took another 35 minutes. The juice we never got was on it, the cold half filled coffee on it and the meal i didn't touch and returned bc i would have gotten salmonella was in it. Two hours no breakfast and a $50 bill. Came on a Sunday with a party of 3 around 11:30am. There was no wait and we were seated promptly. I had to ask a waiter to get our table's waiter after 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come over. The food took about 20-30 minutes to come out and the beverages (water and coffee) took about 10 minutes to come out. The table order a pot of coffee- decent but I really like that they have non-dairy (almond based) creamers. There's a handful of vegetarian options on the menu which I appreciate . I ordered the power breakfast quinoa bowl but asked for no sausage to make it vegetarian. The bowl was very flavorful. I thought the portion could've been larger, but overall satisfied me. The other two people in my party ordered the tri-fecta, and their portion also looked a little smaller than average but they said it satisfied them too. I've been there twice, and both times I've gone, I've had a good experience. When walking in, I was seated almost immediately. The atmosphere is really nice. Kind of a modern rustic kind of feel to it. Both times that I was there, there was a good amount of people. It's more of a breakfast place over anything else, even though they do have a few sandwiches, salads and soup options. Both times I have gone there I've gotten a skillet, and it was so delicious. I would say the pricing is on average $10-$15 a meal, which isn't bad at all. I also tried the ham sandwich (don't remember exactly what it was called), but that has been my favorite thing i've tried there, and will get the next time I go. Their coffee is to die for, it is so delicious. When you ask for coffee, they bring you your own pot, so you can keep refilling it without asking for more. Horrible experience. My mom and I got in and seated a. 1:45, placed our order at 1:50, proceeded to wait 30 minutes for very simple and quick dishes - Ricotta Pancakes and BLT Benedict with no bun. The pancakes came out fine, delicious in fact - but the BLT Benedict came out with over cooked hard eggs. We sent it back requesting for the eggs to be remade to be poached as they should be for this recipe. They tell us they can make it fast this time, no problem. We get the order back - the eggs now are SOUP, in a separate ramakin, there is one SLIVER of avocado, the two smallest bit of shriveled bacon and NO hollandaise sauce (This is what makes a eggs Benedict- benedict). At this point we had waited 50 minutes total just for a simple dish. Our server was nice enough, it wasn't his fault, but no one asked if it came out alright. We paid a way over priced bill for food that couldn't be consumed. When we paid they did not ask if the food was alright. All they wanted to know if we wanted to leave a tip (which we did). A great place in theory, but you just can't fix a bad chef. I'm sure the answer I will get to this review is that this will be taken as a "learning experience", no resolution. I decided to go here today for lunch with a friend. The wait to be seated wasn't horrible but the wait to actually be served was beyond horrible. From where I was seated I saw workers eating, drinking and playing with their hair between serving customers. At no time did I see anyone washing their hands after this. I could not believe the manager would allow this in plain view of customers. To tell you the truth I couldn't distinguish the manager from the crew. I believe he may hve been the person cooking. I have been here a couple of times for breakfast with my family and we love it. It's a nice twist from the regular type of breakfast. I love the farmhouse skillet , the only issue I had this past time is that the avocado was hard not ripe and it through off the taste of the bite. Very disappointed today. I have been to this location many times and have had no issues but today was not the case. The food took very long after and we we ordered and when it came it was cold. The four of us all ordered eggs and they were all cold and over cooked. I ordered an Egg Benedict and the egg was completed cooked through not poached. Someone ordered their eggs sunside up and their eggs was also completely cooked. I asked for a salad and potatoes came with my meal. The server was quick to bring the salad but it was wilted a many of the leaves were yellowed. If today was my first time going I would never return. I'm not sure if this is a sign that this location is taking a turn. If so, I will definitely advice everyone to proceed cautiously. read more

My first time today at First Watch and I will never go back again. The utensils they gave us were dirty, my friends spoon had a big green food stain or something on it. It took over 20 mins for us to get our drinks and every time we asked someone for water or my friend wanted a soda no one was bringing it out. Our food took forever to come out and usually everyone's food is suppose to come out together and it didn't, everything came out one by one every 10-15 mins smh. My friends and I mostly ate the same thing the, pancake or waffle with bacon and seasoned potatoes. The food tasted so basic. Eggs or pancakes or anything didn't really have a taste to them we were better off staying at home and making breakfast ourselves. Customer service was terrible, the server we had clearly did not want to come to work, and different servers kept getting different tables food/order mixed up. One of the waiters kept dropping utensils on the floor and he went inside and never picked it back up. I will never go back to First Watch. Breakfast in bed or a nice diner breakfast would've been way better. read more

Soooooo the ONLY reason this place has 3 stars is because the food is tasty...nothing AMAZING but good food! What I don't like is how inconsistent they are. I've gotten the chickichanga 2x now and both times they were different. The first time I had it, it was delicious...second time just okay. The avocado in the order the second time I got it was basically black! Did they think I wouldn't notice because it was in the wrap? And the chicken was even rubbery. There is fruit that comes with that order and again the first time not bad but the second it was like rotting fruits. Now...as for the management and service in this place....I don't think there's such thing. Every single time I've been here there's at least like 8 tables that have all the left overs from the last person that was there. The tables never get cleaned! And when you're seated at a clean table it's sticky. The waitresses and waiters are like clueless. I don't think they have assigned tables because we always get asked if someone's helped up yet, they almost never come back to check on you, or if they do it's immediately after our food has been served, we always have to ask for utensils (that come AFTER we receive our food), I only drink water and I always have an empty cup and they never come back and refill it or ask if I'd like another... The hostesses barely want anything to do with you. They have waits for like 30 plus minutes...MIND YOU there's free tables!! Just not cleaned off, of course. I don't know what's going on with this place but I clearly do not come here for the service. I try to come on off times and just enjoy the long time I'll be there lol I just feel like I'm ranting at this point. But truthfully if you don't care about the service, the food isn't bad. I only had the one bad encounter with the issues I've listed above with the chickichanga but other than that everything has been good. read more

I've been to First Watch now 3 times and each time seems to get a little more disappointing than the next. I decided to go to First Watch for breakfast and arrived around 10:50 a.m. Got seated immediately and placed our drink orders. Our waiter was fast with bringing us water and coffee but forgot to bring mugs for our coffee. So we sat there for about 10 minutes just waiting for mugs so we can drink our coffee. Once we got our mugs we immediately placed our order at around 11 a.m. Our waiter said it should be out in about 10 minutes. Time goes by and not once did our waiter ever stop by to check in on us. At about 11:20 I approached a different waitress and asked what the situation was regarding our food and she said it should be out shortly. We then wait another 10 minutes and it is now 11:30, still no food. Our waiter has still not checked in on our table. At this point I knew my order wasn't coming out anytime soon and decided to cancel the order. I approached a gentleman that looked like a manager and asked if my mother and I can just cancel the order since we have been waiting for 30 minuets. The manager said "Omg what i'm so sorry" and then went into the kitchen to see what was going on. Our waiter FINALLY came over and says "you guys still haven't gotten your food?" And in my head I said well you would know that if you had come to check in on us in the 30 minutes that we were waiting. He then checks in with the kitchen and proceeds to tell us only a part of the order went in. At this point me and my mother just decide to get up and leave. We headed to the register to at least pay for the coffees. The staff at the register then proceed to tell us they need to check in with our waiter in order for us to leave. The one waiter behind the register then asks us "You guys waited 30 minutes for food? That's no good" but said it with a smirk on his face. Was not apologetic at all. At this point the waitress informs us we can go and don't have to pay for anything so my mother and I head for the door and leave. As we get outside we are stopped by the manager I had initially approached. He apologized for the bad experience we had and says he wants to give us something. This other gentleman then comes out who I am assuming is the general manager. He asks what happened and then apologizes. He hands us 2 $20 gift cards, his business card and says he will find out what happened. That's it. After this experience at First Watch I don't think I will ever be back. The service is just horrendous. The staff does not know how to attend to people and they have no awareness as to what's going on around them, which is HIGHLY needed in the restaurant business. I noticed that 3 different people needed to approach the kitchen area in order to get some help. This just goes to show that the staff pays little attention to their customers. I understand if you are busy and things are running behind. But at not one point did someone approach our table and let us know the status of our order. No matter how good the food is here, it will never be good enough for the poor service. If this business wants to succeed they need to get an ENTIRELY new staff. A staff that is attentive and enthusiastic. First Watch, I'm sorry but you need to do better. read more

Soooo I've been to three different First Watch restaurants (two in Jersey one in South Carolina) and all three times the service was amazing. Every chance I get I get their food. My girlfriend was dying of starvation and the server gave her a piece of bread to hold her over until our table was ready. He didn't have to do that, he could have said it was against policy or something however he didn't.
