I had a really disappointing experience at First Watch in Wellington. Our food took nearly 45 minutes to come out, which is way longer than expected, especially for breakfast. What made it worse was that our waiter barely checked on us the entire time--we felt completely forgotten. We were stuck with just one cup of water because no one ever came back to refill it, even after trying to get someone's attention. Once we finally finished eating, it took forever just to get the check, which added even more frustration to an already poor experience. Overall, the service was extremely lacking and really took away from the meal. Hoping this was just a one-time issue, but definitely makes me think twice about coming back. read more

The place is very nice--farmhouse décor, warm colors, and very clean. Service was great; she was extremely fast, very attentive, and friendly. The food, on the other hand... not so much. To my pleasant surprise, they now have a kids' menu with some interesting options, and I'm glad to see they're finally considering younger guests. However, the quality could be better. My daughter had a pancake that was huge, but the texture felt a bit off. I ordered the "2 for you"--soup and salad. The tomato soup was lukewarm and had an unpleasant layer on top. I got a to go breakfast order. I was very impressed with all the heathy breakfast options. I got the A.M. super foods bowl and it was the best chia pudding i've had. The toast with house made almond butter impressed me so much. I was satisfied for hours after this breakfast and it has 18g of fiber which I am focused on my fiber intake right now. read more

We walked in and we were greeted nice and warmly, what a great vibe. Everybody was so nice my husband I sat down for lunch. I ordered the turkey burger, which I thought was amazing and juicy and full of flavor. It's one of the best turkey burgers I've ever had. And then my husband ordered the roast beef sandwich with a horseradish sauce, it was absolutely delicious. The bread was nice and fresh and it was a lovely lunch. Stopped at the Wellington location around 10:25 am on 3/31/26. It was fairly busy but didn't see too many tables with food on them. I don't think they had enough servers or perhaps cooks; or it could be that we all arrived within 10 minutes of each other. It did take a half hour before we got our food. My husband ordered breakfast and I ordered a pick 2. Chose Monterey Club 1/2 sandwich and a half order of Kale Berry Salad. The salad was OUTSTANDING!! It was so good and fresh with strawberries and blueberries and goat cheese, pecans, and chicken breast. The dressing was a lemon white balsamic...Excellent! The salad filled me up at the time so I took the sandwich home. It was tasty. It looked like when we were leaving so were most of the morning customers. So I guess we can say that service was slow due to everyone arriving close to the same time. They also mentioned that they had issues with their computer that day which usually records the orders. She made good suggestions and gave 5-star service. I ordered the Frittata Rustica with a side of chicken sausage. Delicious! Full of flavor and well seasoned.... omgg, it was goooood. I ordered a cup of coffee, and it was good and did the job. I also decided to try the Morning Meditation which a refreshing beverage. It was good and full of nutrients. When I questioned why I didn't get my eggs prepared as requested, the answer was it is! She repeatedly claimed that this is how two fried eggs are prepared if they are "well done"!!! Everything is delicious here. No gmo's, healthy and tasty food. Red medicine ball so good. Black tea, honey, steamed cranberry juice with pomegranate. Total pick me up. Avocado toast, million dollar bacon, steel oats with berries and frittata. I didn't eat this all at once, I ate here every day for a week when I was in vacation. It definitely is a must! What a pleasant experience! Had lunch at this First Watch today. When entering the restaurant, my partner had difficulty walking (he has Parkinson's). Were they understaffed or just unaware? We'll never know... but one thing is for sure, this restaurant has a lot of work to do to get their restaurant running more smoothly. We were a party of 5 who arrived at 10am to this breakfast & lunch restaurant. No one ordered anything unusual but our food took approximately 45 minutes to hit the table. Two egg dishes needed to taken back because they were cooked improperly (one set of poached over-medium, with a warning that he would send them back if they arrived runny; were runny. Another set of fried eggs ordered over easy and arrived medium to hard). Ordinarily waiters/chefs make sure to make these kinds of corrections right away (think about how long it takes for an egg to cook), but the 2 in our group with these eggs didn't receive their replacements for at least 20 minutes and the waiter apologized saying there was a big group in the restaurant (what? Not a valid excuse). By the time those eggs arrived, the hash one set were ordered with were completely cold, and eggs arrived overly covered in butter and oil. I also was surprised the waiter didn't offer to take those two meals OFF the bill. Everyone else in the party was more than half finished eating and there is no excuse for why the chefs didn't make those corrected eggs right away; hard stop. Now for the other dishes... no one's food arrived hot or very warm. I had a pancake (room temperature but delicious), 2 eggs scrambled (had already turned that "no longer warm" shade of darker yellow), and a chicken sausage patty that was delicious but also room temperature. Someone received a beautiful Belgium waffle that wasn't warm, a fresh egg and side of million dollar bacon that was nicely seasoned (see below last year's review of the bacon). And our guest of honor (the birthday guy) had the breakfast tacos which he said were lukewarm in temperature at best, "a 2.8 out of 5, or a C". While we enjoyed the beautiful restaurant and the tall booth that made it feel private, I don't think we'll be back unless there is an "under new management" announcement. Looking at other recent reviews I doubt we're the only ones who feel disenchanted. read more

If you're in the mood for overpriced, skimpy omelets and breakfast sandwiches served with a side of poor service, look no further than First Watch. Our experience was a disaster from start to finish. We saw our waiter exactly once, and from then on, it felt like we were completely forgotten. The restaurant was packed with customers, yet there seemed to be no staff around to handle the crowd. We had to flag down random employees multiple times just to get basic essentials like our bill, silverware, napkins, and even butter! The lack of organization and attentiveness was astounding. Instead of a relaxing breakfast, we spent most of our time waiting and trying to find someone--anyone--to help us. If corporate happens to read this review, take it as a glaring wake-up call. The operation here is seriously flawed, and if changes aren't made, this kind of subpar experience will continue driving customers away. As for us, we won't be back. There are plenty of other places that know how to serve a proper breakfast without making it feel like pulling teeth. read more

Surprisingly delicious! The elevated egg sandwich far surpassed my expectations. Ordered with a side of fruit instead of potatoes. Coming from New York. I'm always on the lookout for an exceptional egg sandwich and I can happily report that I have now found it. The combination of sunny side up egg, gruyere cheese, arugula, avocado and perfectly cooked bacon was extraordinary. The fruit was fresh and sweet. I frequent First Watch. Never have I run across a restaurant that consistently serves excellent food with a smile. I would recommend their steel cut oatmeal which is served with fresh bananas and strawberries, so good! However if oatmeal isn't your thing they have a great variety of other choices too. Forgot to mention that the oatmeal also comes with a blueberry muffin. So I highly recommend you bring up their menu on line and give them a try, you'll be glad you did. read more

I have discovered that one can experience withdrawal symptoms from the extra lemon curd but all of their dishes are fabulous. But the best thing about First Watch is the Staff, A special shout out for our server, Franki, who somehow effortlessly makes a good meal greater. He senses what you need before you do. Extras appear magically on the table, and if you want information about the dishes or general conversation he is the man to see. With a great personality, a warm smile, and remarkable skill Franki makes you feel like a member of the family. First Watch is to be congratulated on creating the kind of restaurant it is. When I go there, I always order iced coffee black and Million Dollar Bacon because you can't have a breakfast experience without either of those two items. The franchise location has done well to ensure safe social distancing measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. I had a good experience where the service was on-point, and the dishes we ordered were very satisfactory. My usual go-to is either eggs benedict or their Bacado. The latter is a delicious bacon and avocado omelet with Monterey jack cheese, topped with sour cream. I have got to review this place again. I am not sure if new owner, new chef or whatever the case is but the last few times I have went here I was super happy with the service and our food. They are quick to sit you, the food is delicious and I have been very happy. If you order an omelet you will automatically get it with a side of greens with a light dressing, which is great for being healthy. However, if you want some good old fashioned home fries you can request them at no additional charge. The avocado toast comes with water basted eggs or you can change them up and get them scrambled. This was not the best experience here. I have eaten at other locations in this chain and had better. We came for brunch -- me for lunch and my husband for another breakfast. I think they are slightly better at breakfast items than their lunch selections. We were first shown to a table next to a large loud party. We requested a different table, but not a tiny one. They took us to a two top right by the kitchen entrance. A server showed up and asked us what we wanted to drink. I noticed that the paper menu didn't have any prices on it by their drinks. I asked the server the costs and she didn't know. She gave us an estimate. I ordered an iced tea. I think on principal my husband stuck with water. She came back later to tell us that it was a different price than she'd quoted. That they only started giving out paper menus recently. We figured it was a printing error, maybe. I then scanned the menu using the QR code at the table, but that menu didn't have drink prices either. I just thought that was strange. And that's how our meal experience began. My husband ordered the ricotta pancakes with lemon curd. He said they were just okay, but could have used more syrup. He asked for some more and they gave him a tiny ramekin of some. If you want real maple syrup, they charge you extra, by the way, but he's not fussy. The pancakes were quite large. He did put half of them in a to go box to bring home, but he threw them out in the garbage in the parking lot as he decided they weren't good enough to bother with... I ordered the "two for you" lunch special option -- a half salad and soup. It was a turkey Cobb salad. The turkey was tiny bits of very small pieces of diced turkey; the bacon crumbles were burnt bacon pieces. There were three small pieces of haas avocado on the plate and some blue cheese "crumbles" The one thing they did right was exchange the mixed greens for all Romaine lettuce. A minuscule amount of ranch dressing came along side. The salad was edible, but not very good. I chose their tomato basil soup (the daily soup was cheese broccoli). We stopped dining at the location years ago. We would drive past it to go to the Royal Palm Beach location (which is 100 times better). We were on a bit of a time frame Saturday and decided just to go to this location. Years later and nothing had changed. I ordered the Trifecta with a waffle. Meal came, there was a disgusting wet/soggy sugar packet (like the ones on the table) cooked into my waffle and hanging out of the side of it. Very visible, had anyone checked the plate before bringing it out. I sent it back. They remade the dish. This time, the waffle and chicken sausage came out good but my "over medium eggs" were barely cooked. More like over easy the egg whites were still running. For drink, I had a blackberry tea which after having my first and asking for a refill I was told are not refillable (I have gotten this same drink for the last 8 years and it has been refillable across all locations). I explained to the waitress I've never been told this and she just walked away although did bring me another one. Safe to say, FirstWatch is back on the negative list. read more

I've been to this First Watch location multiple times over the years and needed to update my review from initially a 3 star review I wrote a few years ago. The service has improved so much. The food has been consistent in the many types of offerings they have. They are known for their breakfast but have a good amount of lunch options as well. I love any of their egg specials. Recently I tried their tri-fecta option. This gives a nice combo of different things in a plater. It's basically two cage free eggs cooked any way with sides. The biggest reason why I wanted to update my review- you can open your yelp app and put your name down if there is a wait. This really is a game changer. Awesome way of getting a reservation if they have a wait while your driving to this restaurant. Side Note unrelated to the review: Today, April 7 2019. We (my two Sunday fitness friends and I) dined here. Some customer/or customers paid for our meal and left. I just want to say thank you. Your kind unselfish gesture was really sweet. It's such a great place for a truly, clean mix of ingredients, great take on home style traditional meals like pancakes and rice bowls. It's my second visit and I have been very pleased with both visits. I have eaten here on three occasions & I'm surprised it's taken me this long to review this restaurant. On two occasion I settled for the Traditional breakfast & was not disappointed in the least bit. Simply put, you cannot go wrong with eggs, bacon, toast & potatoes. Eggs are never scrambled too hard. The bacon is delicious & the potatoes are always cooked to perfection. Today I decided to switch things up & I ordered the Breakfast tacos. I'm so glad I did because they were so good. I opted out of the avocado & pico. However, that did not take away from the dish at all. The chicken was seasoned nicely, eggs scrambled well, the perfect amount of cheese and the corn tortillas turned out to be the perfect compliment. I've been to first watch at different locations and although they were never awe inspiring, none were as bad as this location in Wellington. In most restaurants after being seated, shortly thereafter a server will, at the very least, get drinks taken care of. That isn't the case here. 15 minutes of sitting at a table with no one asking if we needed anything. The restaurant had people eating, but it definitely wasn't swamped to the point that service should have suffered. I basically put it down to being run poorly. When we finally got some coffee and ordered food it wasn't really a long wait til the food came out, however the food that came to us wasn't very good. Mom ordered pancakes a received one pancake, something I've never seen before, but she was ok with it except for the fact that the pancake was as hard as a frisbee. I've never, I was shocked. So completely unappetizing. My dish was also wrong and although I ate the eggs I was completely unsatisfied. I had asked for more coffee and again the nightmare of being ignored and forgotten resumed. By the time I got my coffee I honestly wanted nothing but to get out of there.
