I've been to this First Watch location multiple times over the years and needed to update my review from initially a 3 star review I wrote a few years ago. The service has improved so much. The food has been consistent in the many types of offerings they have. They are known for their breakfast but have a good amount of lunch options as well. I love any of their egg specials. Recently I tried their tri-fecta option. This gives a nice combo of different things in a plater. It's basically two cage free eggs cooked any way with sides. The biggest reason why I wanted to update my review- you can open your yelp app and put your name down if there is a wait. This really is a game changer. Awesome way of getting a reservation if they have a wait while your driving to this restaurant. Side Note unrelated to the review: Today, April 7 2019. It's such a great place for a truly, clean mix of ingredients, great take on home style traditional meals like pancakes and rice bowls. It's my second visit and I have been very pleased with both visits. Today I ordered the French toast and turkey sausage, it was delicious along with coffee and what I call the good creamers; yes international vanilla and hazelnut. I have eaten here on three occasions & I'm surprised it's taken me this long to review this restaurant. I'm a big "creature of habit" and as amazing as many of the menu items sound, it is generally hard for me to stray from something simple or what I know for a fact I'll enough. On two occasion I settled for the Traditional breakfast & was not disappointed in the least bit. Simply put, you cannot go wrong with eggs, bacon, toast & potatoes. Eggs are never scrambled too hard. The bacon is delicious & the potatoes are always cooked to perfection. Today I decided to switch things up & I ordered the Breakfast tacos. I'm so glad I did because they were so good. I opted out of the avocado & pico. However, that did not take away from the dish at all. The chicken was seasoned nicely, eggs scrambled well, the perfect amount of cheese and the corn tortillas turned out to be the perfect compliment. I've been to first watch at different locations and although they were never awe inspiring, none were as bad as this location in Wellington. In most restaurants after being seated, shortly thereafter a server will, at the very least, get drinks taken care of. That isn't the case here. 15 minutes of sitting at a table with no one asking if we needed anything. The restaurant had people eating, but it definitely wasn't swamped to the point that service should have suffered. I basically put it down to being run poorly. When we finally got some coffee and ordered food it wasn't really a long wait til the food came out, however the food that came to us wasn't very good. Mom ordered pancakes a received one pancake, something I've never seen before, but she was ok with it except for the fact that the pancake was as hard as a frisbee. I've never, I was shocked. So completely unappetizing. My dish was also wrong and although I ate the eggs I was completely unsatisfied. I had asked for more coffee and again the nightmare of being ignored and forgotten resumed. By the time I got my coffee I honestly wanted nothing but to get out of there. They are following the Covid guidelines- and social distancing. We sat outside and we were happy we did so. The waitress however seemed a bit confused and couldn't get the coffee order correct. We were 6 so we had a table of 3 and then a table of 2. It worked out fine. You need to remember the hours that they close at 2:30 pm. This is good to know. Went to meet with a friend and we decided to get breakfast here on a Saturday at 10 am. Normally, i would anticipate a minimum wait time of 30 minutes but surprisingly we were sat immediately! They tend to be packed on the weekends no matter the time. Anyways, i ordered the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage Patties. Which by the way i love the options for meat because other breakfast spots usually only have pork or Turkey links. When i saw chicken sausage patties i was shocked. My meal was perfect, the home potatoes were nice and crispy and toast was not over burnt. I usually always get the kale tonic so this day i decided to try out the morning meditation and it did not disappoint. My friend let me try the new pomegranate punch and i almost wished i ordered that one instead. Overall, every time i come to this location it's a great experience. Traveling through FL I stopped here for breakfast. The food is really very good. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and generally of good quality. Lots of good for you options and not so good for you options so a bit for everyone to enjoy. I had the million dollar bacon and the Cali-Rizzi breakfast tacos with coffee. I'd re-do this any day of the week. Great place, enjoy. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the service and disorganization at front door. There was one hostess who sat people and was also checking customers out. They didn't organize the folks coming in an leaving and it was just a blob of people coming and going. My dad goes to the one in palm beach often and loves it. We went to the wellington location. I got the breakfast tacos with no egg ( can't have them.... i know.... why go to a breakfast place.... because.... i love breakfast) The tacos were delicious! Full of flavor!!! Not a fan of corn tacos but still really yummy! I think my dad got the farmhouse hash. He said it was yummy! Enjoyed it! The biscuits and gravy were different. I am used to a very thick gravy. Tons of healthy food option, and they even add the calories on the food menu for those who are watching the scale. I ordered the "Veggie Burger" that came with a side salad. Normally restaurants have black bean based veggie burgers but I love that First Watch has a brown rice veggie burger incorporated with peppadew peppers, onions, carrots and mushrooms! It was delicious, and came with a side of dijon mustard that paired well with the burger. The side salad that was accompanied with the order was okay. I have been here several times before our last visit, and can honestly say, it was much better then any of my prior visits. We got on the wait list through yelp. Once we arrived, we were seated promptly, as soon as I said my name. Our waitress came by a few minutes later and took our drink orders. Came back with our drinks and noticed a glass was dirty even before she handed it to us and said, I'll be right back with a replacement. She then took our orders. Our food came in a timely manner. However, it still came in batches. Meaning, my food and sons came first, then a couple of minutes later the other two people's at the table. I don't know why they don't bring out all at once, but at least it wasn't a long time in between like before so our food didn't get cold while waiting for the others. On this visit, I think I may have actually found the item that I will ask for each time. It was the roasted veggies with goat cheese omelette. I was super happy with the flavor and loved the side salad. My son gobbled his chocolate chip waffle, and my husband had some sort of Skillet that he loved. Our friend had the frittata and couldn't stop raving about it. Overall, I must say that had management not reached out to me and coaxed me back I wouldn't have returned. Hands down One of my favorite breakfast joints! The service wasn't the greatest which surprised me, considering, I've never had a bad thing to say about First Watch at any of the locations I have visited. Columbus, Ohio was my first experience back in May and ended up going there every day for breakfast while visiting. The reason for this review was because, I was disappointed with how over cooked my bacon was and beneath this first layer of food (order this same dish whenever I visit any First Watch locations) was very greasy and was only able to eat half of my food. I also had to ask waiter several times to bring me jam for my toast. The eggs and avocado were on point, I must say. I will not be returning to this location . I'm only giving this place four stars because we called ahead for reservations which they took. When they got there they said they didn't take reservations which is frustrating because we had rather large party and judging by the pictures you can see that I posted the place was packed to the gills. The ambience is noisy, but lively and vibrant especially if you're looking for a place to go in the morning to feel like you're part of an intimate breakfast club. Warm metal and wood tones surround you as you sit and fellowship with your friends and family. The menu is it large, but everything on there is specialty. I got the avocado toast that was made with feta cheese, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, garlic onion avocado and on a homemade bread baked right there. Came here on Father's Day after church. First time visiting this restaurant. The waffles were too crunchy for my kids, but the bacon.... Specifically the maple pepper bacon I ordered this specialty iced coffee - inhaled it. So yummy. The only downfall was that they had a limited menu due to it being Father's Day and they had massive wait times. They close at 2:30pm. They bring you a pot of coffee which was nice, coffee was strong and was decent. I ordered the trifecta but wanted the Floridian French toast instead of waffle or pancake (so it was a 2 dollar up charge). So it came with one piece of French toast (Floridian style just means it has strawberries, kiwi and bananas on top). 2 eggs your style (I picked scrambled), and your choice of meat (I picked bacon). Presentation was interesting, sad to say that it was nothing special, it taste just fine, I had to put syrup on the French toast since there wasn't too much flavor on it. Fruit was fresh. I mean there is nothing wrong with it but I just thought it was ok. Hubby had the street corn hash and he enjoyed that, he also ordered the orange juice. Waitress will bring you the check and you pay upfront. Our waitress was friendly but seemed pretty busy so we didn't see much of her. The hostess at front was ok too. I've been to other locations and have never been disappointed. It's a great spot when someone wants lunch and someone wants breakfast. Lots of yummy options to choose from. Omelets, frittatas, sandwiches, pancakes, soups etc.. I love their tomato basil soup and their artisan bread. The monterey club sandwich is my go to on the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup deal. A little messy as the avocado never behaves in a sandwich and likes to shoot out this way and that. Coffee is fresh and many creamer options are on the table. The service is really amazing, and our waitress gave us helpful tips on making sure we got oUr food faster by informing us that their rush hour was approaching. Their juices are so refreshing. The blue booster has the sweetness of blueberry balanced with the bitterness of basil and was the best way to start off my day. Went to First Watch after Church thinking that we would have a long wait line being Easter Sunday. To my surprise we were able to get a table right away. My Friend and I both ordered the Works omelet with home frys. I have to say that The omelet came out perfect. I think the next time I will ask for a little bit of onion be added for more taste. We were ready and she kindly took our orders in lieu of the server in that section; a wonderful display of teamwork and a great example of the First Watch way. Food was delicious, we ordered the two specials bacon cheddar cornbread and the lone star brisket hash along with one of the house favorites the breakfast tacos and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Some friends and I were in a pinch and first watch came to the rescue!! I've heard of first watch before but never tried it out, Man have I been missing out. First watch is a breakfast/brunch spot that in my opinion has been under the radar. The decor give it a southern but modern look. Compared to other breakfast places First Watch is definitely on the healthy side, but that doesn't mean it isn't tasty. There was so much to choose from. They have your classics like waffles and pancakes of course but they also have vegan and veggie options as well. Today I got the Floridian French toast which was to so fresh, I accompanied that with the seasoned potatoes and turkey sausage. Don't forget to ask for the Colombian coffee, they really pride themselves on it. First watch really showed me that healthy Can be delicious. This is my first visit here. I was in the mood for something different than the usual and I stumbled on this place. My first impression was good with a all wood interior maybe trying to give you the farm fresh look.. I entered late around 1: 45 so there were only a few patrons as this restaurant advertises being a breakfast brunch spot. I was greeted with friendliness and my order was taken immediately. Most of the menu was around 10 dollars. I ordered the lemon curd pancakes. Two large pancakes with fresh fruit powdered sugar, lemon curd and syrup on the side. Very good and I would order it again. Really my only complaint was my glass of water was only filled once and I was ignored thirst wise.
