Meh...decent if not bland main meals, mediocre coffee and a joke of "seasonal fruit" cups make this a pretty lame value.

My favorite thing here is the sausage and gravy biscuits, especially because they use turkey sausage instead of beef or pork! Our waitress Gates was lovely and very informative of the menu! We will be back. Thank you again Ms. Gates! read more

This was a lot better than I was expecting. I was very uneasy about the restaurant, thanks to the relatively high prices of some of the items. But, by golly, the food was well worth it. Excellent french toast, eggs, etc. And terrific, efficient, attentive, and reassuring service from my server (who apparently is named "Sugar Pants," if I recall correctly). It's a chain which seems to sprout in some of the more expensive mcmansion-y neighborhoods, so I'm not really sure what their usual quality is. But, this one, in Wilmington, is excellent. I noticed that someone in the kitchen area was very efficiently managing things in a Patton-esque manner -- presumably a lot of the quality, and efficiency, is due to that guy. The packets of cream were congealed and bad. Waitresses knew it but never offered regular cream or told anyone. Bad move. This my coffee became a science project. When you offer fruit on the side - make sure it's ripe. Strawberries. Blueberries. Blackberries. Not hardened melon and pineapple. Sharing waitresses has never been a good idea. You don't know who is serving you. Too impersonal. This particular restaurant has been better. Seems it's too bend on serving quickly not properly. read more

Had breakfast here the other morning. It's a very casual environment with ample seating. I had the salmon eggs benedict. Salmon was tasty but a bit on the salty side. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly but instead of on an English muffin it was ciabatta bread. Would not have been my choice. The food was good but not memorable. Service was good. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location again. The waiters were nice but I did not receive the cleanest utensils. They give you water out of a glass container. The glass container was dirty and had particles hanging on the inside of it in the water. Also the glass cup was dirty and had the same thing on it. I couldn't even drink the water. The food was good but was very difficult to eat due to the uncleanliness. Also if you happen to drink this water , make sure you check the glass container to make sure it is clean ! read more

Giving it 3 stars not so much for the food but for the safety measures, or lack thereof, as we went on Thanksgiving weekend and Covid cases were still spiking at a record pace. They were at full 100% capacity and every table was occupied. We ended up getting the food to go. Food, with it being a chain in the south, was good and like all the other first watch. Our first time here at First Watch and our experience was amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and comforting while everyone was enjoying their meals. Even though they were packed inside and people we were waiting outside to dine, our wait was short and we were seated quickly. The menu has an amazing array of choices!!! There was a wait when we arrived, but we were seated quicker than anticipated. I believe it's because they were busy and trying to find their flow, but we were served first plastic disposable cups for our drinks - then midway through we received regular glasses. The food also took awhile to arrive, but like I said, I think they're still trying to sort things out. Everything on the menu was affordable and sounded good, but we both agreed it was lacking something. It was like they were trying to make interesting flavor combos, while also attempting to make it seem healthy...but the overall taste was lackluster. My bf ordered a waffle & said the fruit jam that came with it tasted like it came out of a can. He also said his biscuit tasted the same. Always one of my first stops when I'm in town visiting my family. Food is consistent and fresh. The breakfast tacos are bussin. I had the market skillet and it was fantastic! The market and rustic items are the non-meat versions of dishes. The potatoes in the skillet are wonderful and i am not a big fan of potatoes. My husband had the chickichanga. It wasn't his thing. It looked good though. It looks like it has a holendaise sauce smother with sour cream. My husband just doesn't like either of those toppings to begin with. He thought the fillings were great though. We liked the industrial decor and the atmosphere was open and airy and friendly. We had a wonderful server who made the experience fun as well I recommend this restaurant for breakfast for sure. Will try a lunch option next time. read more

Took my beautiful wife here for her birthday breakfast and we enjoyed the unique cocktails. The home fries were perfectly seasoned and "the works" omelet was packed with bacon ham and sausage - I opted out of the veggies so it was nice they don't skimp out on the meat. We showed up right at opening with 3 kids and 2 adults- haven't eaten out in FOREVER! So luckily it was only us and one other couple in the restaurant. The wait staff was great and checked on us just enough. The kids menu was just right and fun to color. I am only giving it 4 stars because I thought the French toast was so/so. My husband ordered the traditional breakfast and it wasn't as yummy looking as the Famous Toastery. Definitely need to try the Floridian French Toast- very unique. read more

The food is very good. However, we gave it a third shot and yet again we received dirty dishes. The first two times it was silverware, and the last time my coffee cup had some food on the side of it. I reluctantly scraped it off and drank my coffee. By the end of my cup I noticed the inside was not fully cleaned either. read more

Everything was delicious. Simply put. Every aspect of every dish just tasted fresh. I got the market hash. Potatoes were to die for, veggies were all fresh, the cheese wasn't overpowering. Perfect portion size. I didn't leave hating myself or needing to lie down. The sausage gravy was really good, but be aware it is turkey gravy and you can taste that. It is frustrating to wait for my dish to appear when my friends almost finished theirs.

Second time eating here for Sunday breakfast. Waverly was a phenomenal waitress. Food was fantastic. Will be back again next Sunday!
