By far, my favorite brunch spot! The service is exceptional and swift. I have come here more than once and enjoy my experience every time. I have never caught 'em slippin'. Okay, to be fair, I don't like reviewing a restaurant on my first visit. I like to give two chances for that first impression. First Watch, the good: service was very good. They bring you a jar of water so you can refill more regularly. Same for coffee, they bring a carafe and will refill it as needed. I was checked on frequently by my server. The coffee is outstanding. Very robust blend with a good flavor that isn't too bitter. The cage free eggs were delicious, even though the portions were smaller than what I'm accustomed to. The not so good: perhaps I ordered the wrong thing? This place is very obvious about the crowd they cater to. Millennials. Avocado toast, hash bowls, acai bowls, etc. I'm more of a traditional breakfast guy, so I got "The Tri-Fecta" with a waffle, eggs, and bacon. The food arrived at my table with the appearance, taste, and texture of a meal that had been prepared an hour ago. It was okay, but the waffle was almost tough instead of crunchy. The bacon was almost burnt, and everything was just kinda warm, instead of fresh and hot. The bad: the price. I mean what.the.heck? $10.69 for half the portion size I could get at other local spots. And I was charged $1.69 for cheese on my eggs?! A meal for one person totaled $15.98. I could eat two meals at Breakfasttime for this, and get much more for my money. I will probably go back again to try some of their signature items, but I'll stick to my trusted spots for breakfast. read more

I never take my time to leave bad reviews but i would like to say the highlight of this restaurant was leaving, by far the most poorly managed restaurant all the way from our absolutely horrible inconsiderate waitress to the manager who clearly is incapable of her job. I hope corporate can get this store in line because i feel horrible for anyone who thinks they are going to enjoy their time and food like you typically do at other first watches. The service staff are over the top friendly. We had a short wait but we're well taken care of once waited on. The menu is not your everyday run of the mill boring choices that leave you playing it safe by ordering chicken....but rather a colorful blend of traditional meals supercharged with flavor and pizazz! This is a small place right in the middle of town, great for a quick lunch. The prices were higher than I expected but the food was good. The salad I ordered was supposed to come with bread and it did not. My husband and friends sandwiches could have come with a side or soup option but it was not asked and came out with a simple unsatisfying salad. This place is super good! While my husband and I were visiting Winston Salem, we found ourselves spending most of our vacation here to eat! Each time we tried different items on the menu and were not disappointed! I love the atmosphere and how they put a different twist on breakfast. It isn't your basic bacon and eggs kind of place. I enjoyed the pumpkin pancake they have on special right now with the sausage! I also like how they give your table its own personal pitcher of coffee and water. The staff is very kind which is a plus. I will definitely be coming back here when I'm back in Winston Salem! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. When we arrived they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. After checking at 30 minutes they told us it would be 10 more. We went outside and waited on the text that our table was ready. It didn't come so we checked in again at 45 minutes. They had the wrong number in the system. They seated us quickly after that. Then when we said we needed time to look at the menu no one checked on us again for 10-15 minutes. I had to walk up front and ask someone to take our order. We waited 30 minutes with no one checking on us. We left without food, no updates and no end in sight after a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes. 2 of our 3 kids were crying by the time we left because they were so hungry. Went in with a friend today for breakfast. No wait for a table. We ordered food and then started to chat, and lost track of time. After maybe 20min (not sure how long exactly), waitress came to the table to apologize for the wait. After another 10min, the waitress returned to apologize again for the wait. At this point, my friend and I had lost track of time while catching up and didn't even realize we might have been waiting a little longer than normal. However, the waitress was extremely apologetic, brought us some of their fresh juice, and offered to discount our entrees. Our meals arrived a few minutes later. Absolutely stellar service. Although we weren't upset by the amount of time it took for food to arrive, the waitress identified a potential problem and took action. Very disappointed in food quality. My husband and I each ordered different variations of Eggs Benedict and were looking forward to our meals. However, all the eggs were very much overcooked. It is so nice to have a place to eat that has REAL FOOD. It is so fresh and full of flavor the service is great. They actually have REAL MAPLE syrup and not colored corn syrup for your waffles, pancakes or french toast.
