I always forget to write a review for Bad Daddy's so here ya go! I've been going to BD for years and it seems that they have been tweaking the menu, offerings and trying to just hone in on what they want to be going forward. My latest visit it seems they've gone back to including a side with their burgers and sandwiches. They had discontinued that for a while. Here's why I come back.... Always friendly and attentive service, open later than a lot of other places, very customizable menu, decent drink options, daily specials and a pretty solid burger. Ask about their specials, they don't tend to promote them very well imo. The deviled egg app is a great one to share and apps are half price the two hours before close. Pictured is a create your own burger on a lettuce wrap with fries, and a single smash burger with the fruit side.

We've had mixed experiences at the bad daddy's in Greensboro, but the Winston Salem location had it going on! We showed up right when church let out on a Sunday but that didn't deter them from great service and delicious food. We went against the grain and didn't order a burger - we had the wings for appetizer and cheesesteak and hot honey sandwich for entree with Parmesan truffle fries and sweet potato fries. I swear I still think about that drippy hot honey sandwich. And the Parmesan truffle fries are unmatched. If we are visiting bad daddy's it will definitely be at this Winston Salem location!

Can't believe I waited this long to review this lively place with great pub food choices! I have been several times since my last review, and I really like the concept here - BYO - burgers, sandwiches, salads! I'm not a sports bar kind of person, maybe at an earlier time, in a different place - but that ship has sailed! I come in for an early lunch on a week day, knowing there is some risk in that since most restaurants that open at 11AM are understaffed, many still dealing with service prep items - I've hit my share of speed bumps, but I almost alway get fed. I built my own fried chicken sandwich, beginning with their very large buttermilk fried breast, adding lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles, with a side of their excellent Onion Straws! I cut this large sandwich in half, and add a commercial hot sauce (I prefer Frank's) to the half I'll eat at the restaurant. Between the large sandwich and the plentiful onion straws, I'll have 2 well sized meals. Best fried chicken in the area by far, and a great value. On another visit I built my own burger - double Smash Burger, Classic Carolina style, meaning it was topped with cheese, chopped white onion, slaw, chili, and mustard. This can be a messy, but well worth the experience. Onion straws, of course, with the great dipping sauce! And the fries, chili, and fried pickles are excellent. I really like the burgers and the fried chicken sandwich here. Only place that comes close to either on an upscale basis is Sixty Six Grill. There are a number of diner style burgers that are good, as well - Culver's, Bobo's, Alex, and a few more. As always, it is about how much do you want, and how much do you want to pay. If I pay $12 for a burger with a side, and get two full meals, I smile!

LFG!!! Sunday football @ Big Daddy Birger Bar

Big Daddy's is exactly what it says it is. It's a good spot for fried food, ok spot for watching games (except TV's are small), and you might have to hop on the staff to get the right game. They do not have NFL Sunday ticket just the nationwide games. My kids gobbled up all of their burgers and fries so they were happy. Wife was a little bummed about the wine selections as it's 3 offerings from Barefoot. Overall just a meh and move along. They have plenty of other spots but not sure I would try based on this experience.

I'm a few weeks late posting this review, so here goes. Visited BDBR, and listen, that burger was banging. So it was a Turkey burger being that my family doesn't eat red meat. I was nervous thinking it would not be good, but it was amazing good!! So good I'm ready to go back! I'm plain with my burgers, so I only had caramelized onions, A1 sauce and American cheese. It was sooo good, onions cooked just right, burger cooked right and bun was toasted! The truffle fries were good as well, although I was thinking they would have some sort of sauce on them. The ambiance was nice, music playing in background, our waitress Jada was nice and very knowledgeable as well. I'd definitely go back again and would recommend this place to others!

We came here on a Saturday as a group of 3 around 5pm and ended up waiting 20 minutes to be seated. There was a decent crowd, but they did were quick with bringing out our food. The atmosphere is your normal burger bar type setting. I ordered a build your own burger and didn't realize until after I ordered that they had a pad at the table that you fill out specifically for build your own. I enjoyed my burger, but would have wanted more aioli on it. I ordered the caramelized onion one. My side was tater tots and they were well made. Their house ranch, not the bad daddy one, was super yummy. The bad daddy ranch was fine, just not my preference. I also tried their homemade lemonade and it was amazing! My husband enjoyed his the smokehouse burger and added jalapeños. He said the Mac and cheese was not bad, but more average. I ordered chicken tenders, fruit, and chocolate milk for my son. I think the chicken tenders were a bit too crispy. Overall, this was my first time here but I would add it to my rotation of restaurants to come back to!

We got a gift card for Christmas so we went in for dinner. We got seated right away on a high top in the bar for a Saturday night which was great and they were busy. The music was a little too loud but this is just personal preference. My husband got the bad ass burger with a side of onion rings and I got the frenchie with a side of fries. We got the queso to start. The queso was fine. It lacked some flavor. The bad ass burger was impressive but it wasn't very good. The fried bacon was all batter. My frenchie was good and I enjoyed the fries a lot. The price overall was pretty expensive and I'd rather go somewhere else for that price point honestly.

Dinner time on Fathers Day was probably not the best time to decide to spontaneously stop in to Bad Daddy's but as a party of two we were able to pass up all the larger parties and grab a seat at the bar without waiting at all. As a self proclaimed smash burger expert I can't tell you how happy I was to see they had a couple smash burgers as a summer special. There were two options. Both sounded delicious but what I was craving tonight was more traditional toppings. Luckily our server/bartender let me know I could order a create-your-own smash burger so that is exactly what I did. I topped mine with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and garlic mayo. My husband ordered one of the summer special smash burgers- the Steakhouse-as a double patty and got a side of house chips which we shared. Our burgers came out in about 15 min. The minute I saw it I knew it was going to be a good smash burgers. That wonderful characteristic lacy crispy edges were visible hanging over the edge of the bun and one nibble of the burger patty let me know it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I ate every messy bite and my single patty was just right for my appetite. We had wonderful and attentive service the whole time and I highly recommended sitting at the bar if you have a small party. You'll get great service and the same great food.

Once again they delivered!!! This is the best burger place in Winston Salem without a doubt. It is shocking for me to say that out loud, trust me. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but the local places I hav, do NOT know how to cook a Med. Rare burger. I mean, come on, it's not rocket science, but they can't do it. This place, HAS NEVER MISSED! Every time o order a burger it is spot on! Service is always great, it gets a bit noisy at times but all fine for what you get in return. Keep up the great work. I tip my had to the cooks. #solid.

Excellent food and service at my table. A waitress dropped a glass of water at the next table and no one came to clean it up the entire time we were there. Do better

A friend and I stopped into Bad Daddy's Burger Bar in Winston Salem. I've eaten here plenty of other times, so I know what to expect. For a Friday, sinner time, we got a table fairly quickly, and were waited on by Shayla, who was super nice and available. Really good service. My friend had a burger. Bad Daddy's makes great burgers. I was eyeing the bison burger, but ended up getting a Greek salad. The salad isn't a legit Greek salad, more Greek-esque... but it was still quite good. It had some grilled chicken on top and had a bunch of the Greek salad ingredients that one would expect, kalamata olives, onions, feta cheese, tomato, cucumbers, pepperoncinos, and surprisingly, chick-peas. The dressing was Greek-ish as well, lemony and tasty. It was a good salad Possibly my first salad at Bad Daddy's. I'll come back.

Great big parking lot and plenty of seating and a little patio. Looked like a good meet up lunch or workers eating while we were here. Great menu with so many choices and daily specials. Grilled chicken , fresh veggies, tzatziki on a grilled pita. Lots of filling and I got the house made chips . They don't give a side with sandwiches, looks like they are all à la carte. $1.50 wasnt a bad price though. Loved my pita I would only suggest maybe they grill the onions and instead of fresh. Loved the chips as they were dry and not oily . Served with ranch. My friend ordered the walnut chicken salad sandwich. Then realized when she got it it's full of onions which she could not eat. She felt bad for having not asked when she ordered it. Our server was so nice to see if they could trade it out and they did with zero fuss. It making her feel bad. She opted for the cheese burger. The front door had no signage...like a house door. I got (2) orders for Blackened chicken with Alfredo pasta($22ea) and a cheeseburger w/fries($18). We did receive a generous portion of pasta but not a lot of chicken. Normally, the blackened chicken is sliced place on top of pasta at most places, but this was mixed in and the result was a loss of the blackened flavor in my opinion. Side Note: These dishes were served with no bread. Come on, it's an Italian meal. As for the burger w/ fries($18), it was large burger but the fry portion was small for the price. It was good...not five guys which is the standard for a fresh burger these days. Again, in my humble opinion, I could not tell if it was a freshly made patty or frozen one. I sort of leaned to frozen but not totally sure. The staff greeted me warmly, and they were fast but very polite. For $75 dollars total, it might be a little overpriced by $10, but to be fair since Covid, everything is high. Higher income people frequent this area of town. So, I get it! Location! Location! My 4 out of 5 star review was given based on the exterior, staff, no bread, small portion of chicken mix in with pasta, small portion of fries, and the pricey burger.

Once we got our drinks they served us several orders of warm bread with several different butter choices. At that point, we ordered our main menu items. Service was prompt and went smoothly. We didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive. The food was very good and there were no complaints from our group. I ordered Ahi Tuna salad. It was a large portion w the Tuna perched on top making an appetizing display. It was reasonably priced at $18, in my opinion, as it was a large salad and I wasn't able to eat the whole thing. And then there was a hint of a sauce flavor. Positive takeaways: The mushroom was very crispy and it was a good portion size. But flavor-wise on the actual mushroom, really sub par. Felt like "just something to eat" not impressive at all. The Alfredo was thin and tasteless. The sauce had a HINT of onion and some citrus (I assume lemon?) but was otherwise comparable to water. And the same tasteless fried oyster mushroom on top. Truly disappointing. I know it's more expensive in food cost and labor, but they should consider using cashew milk for the sauce for a creamier consistency (closest to dairy) and some nutritional yeast for the cheese taste. And some seasoning in the mushroom batter smh. Just overall basic and I'm furious I spent $37.45 for this. Won't be returning to try anything else, sorry.

I didn't expect the restaurant to be busy on a weeknight, but I was obviously wrong as the parking lot was nearly full. We found a spot at the rear of the restaurant and made our way inside. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table near the fireplace. A quick glance around confirmed that the place was jumping, which is good news for any restaurant during the middle of the week. A good balance of menu options from salads, sandwiches, fish, steaks, etc. Expect to pay $20-30 per person and some entrees are ala carte. They appear to have a good selection of wine, beers and cocktails from the long list in the menu. I went with the lasagna; my wife had the fish and chips; and my colleague went with the Beast Burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their selection. The temperature of my lasagna could have been a tad hotter, but it wasn't enough of an issue to send it back. I would order it again. Service was good throughout our visit, but I am deducting one star for the noise level. The high ceilings give the restaurant a beautiful lodge look and feel, but they make for a very loud dining experience. The sound level at times was more like a school cafeteria in my opinion. Perhaps a table on the side of the dining room would be quieter where nearby walls could help absorb some of the noise. Bottom line: not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner.

We came with the family for Mother's Day for the first time and really enjoyed it! The reviews and…read morepics looked great so we decided to try it. Here's what we thought: **Goat Cheese Butternut Squash Ravioli** Delicious but my Dad thought it was a little rich. The couple of bites I tried were excellent! The chicken was moist and well seasoned. **Moroccan BBQ Pork Chop** This was the best pork chop I've ever had. Moms agreed! Dad wished he had gotten the pork chop! This was his favorite out of the three meals we tried! **Prime Rib** I had to go all in and got the 12oz. It's the best prime rib I've had in years! They serve it with au jus and creamy horseradish. That creamy horseradish is exactly the way I like it, the au jus was a nice addition and the steak was cooked perfectly! I will definitely order again! This was my favorite out of the three entrees we tried. **Crispy Brussels Sprouts** We weren't as thrilled about these as everyone else. I thought they were dry and needed something more. Maybe they didn't add enough jam and/or balsamic this time? **Chorizo Potato Soup** Very nice! The sausage wasn't too overpowering and I like the creamy broth. Different than anything I've ever had but good.

My original plan was to stop here for lunch on Father's Day before dropping my daughter off at a…read moresummer program at Wake Forest. There was a 20 min wait and we were starving after a long travel day and eager to get to campus so we ate at the mediocre crepes restaurant next door instead. When we picked her up a week later I was prepared with reservations. However, when we checked in they told us they don't take reservations so it must be for their sister restaurant (oops) and the wait was even longer this time. One of the hostesses mentioned there would be seating clearing at the bar within minutes, which was good enough for us. We sat down 3 minutes later and ordered a few minutes after that. My daughter went for a cheeseburger which she happily ate stating that the food at Wake was NOT good all week. My husband enjoyed his turkey club and packed the other half for his flight later that evening (lunch and dinner). I went with the crab cake appetizer, which I thought was just OK. It was only a few dollars cheaper than the sandwich so I probably should have gotten that instead, but didn't want to be tempted with the bread and fries. We were in and out within 30 minutes, which I appreciated since we had a drive to Chapel Hill ahead of us. Overall, it was a solid meal and I'm guessing a favorite for those affiliated with the campus.

No other way to describe it. I also loved the fact they served it with warm and toasted bread pieces.....added another depth of flavor to the entire bite. Entire thing was filled with crab meat as well. I'm used moreso to the chunkier style of crab dip, if that makes any sense, but whatever they did to theirs passed my test. For our entrees, we both opted for burgers. I've been waiting something that isn't a smash burger for quite sometime. No disrespect to smash burgers, but I've been wanting a thick, hand patted burger and they delivered. I ordered the tavern burger with the medium cook and a side of fries. Burger cook was perfect. One thing I loved was that the actual patty had char marks on it & it added more flavor to it. Very juicy and flavorful. Their fries were solid too....crispy yet soft in the middle. My wife got their bacon jam burger with a well done cook and she raved about how juicy it was. The cook was to her preference as well. She wasn't too impressed with the pasta salad as a side, but she did get an order of sweet potato fries and they were great as well. Finished the evening with their carrot cake and key lime pie to go and they were both delicious. Their key lime may be the best I've had in this area. Our server Morgan was awesome as well. Very attentive and helpful with the menu suggestions and explaining the things she personally liked, along with what was popular with other patrons. Their setup is odd....not saying that in a bad way, but its an older building and the layout says that. We were seated very quickly. Again, Morgan was awesome and made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance was good....very apt for a date night. Didn't get the chance to check out any of the other dishes around, but everyone seemed pleased with the service and the food. Will be back again to try some of their other entrees.

It's not bad by fast food standards but it's never really wowed me, and every place I've been to has always been a super long wait. Unfortunately this one wasn't much better and once again I was waiting a reaaallly long time for my "fast" food. It was a little busy when I got there on a weekday evening, but even considering I was still waiting an awkwardly long time. The manager there seemed to be keeping a good handle on things at least and was professional and polite, so kudos for that. If I really wanted Whataburger for some reason I'd come back here but only if I was ready for a long wait.

The teenage order taker came out from the kitchen area and just looked at me. I finally said "hey, how are you doing". He didn't really respond so I just placed my order. To say he was disinterested is being kind. I got my napkins and filled my drink. The condiment section was lacking salt, so I just went to my table. When the food was brought to me, the employee offered me two kinds of ketchup. Her tray did not have any salt on it either, so I had to ask her to bring some, which she did. Very perfunctory. The burger and fries were just barely warm. The fries tasted fine, but we're nothing to get excited about. The burger patties were thin, dry, and insipid. The toppings were just average. Again, the burger was on the wrong side of warm and did not taste fresh at all. There's just not much positive to say about my experience here this evening. WHATABURGER? Try WHATADISAPPOINTMENT.
