The best Chinese food I have found in the city! If you don't like peas and carrots in your Fried Rice, this is the place for you! The Shrimp Egg Rolls are good too! I am feeling betrayed as I write this review. I trusted the other Yelp reviews that this was a quality restaurant. I'm sorry to say it is not. Cleanliness: I really should have left immediately. The floors and walls were filthy. The base boards had a buildup of gunk that had to have taken years to accumulate. There was food stains on all of the walls. There was a water cooler that had not been cleaned in a significant period of time. I'm surprised the health department allows them to stay open. Food: We have eaten in some third world countries where the restaurant was dirty but the food was fantastic. So we took the chance and ordered. Our food was below par. The fried rice was greasy and tasteless. The other dishes were overcooked and the ingredients very low quality. We could not finish. Other customers: While we were there we heard other customers make comments about coming to this restaurant for years. Therefore I have to assume the restaurant is meeting a local need. Today my family of 6 including myself were out in Indy at the Children's Museum for my birthday celebration. After we left everyone was hungry so we looked for a restaurant that we would all enjoy. First Wok was at the top of that list. This was going to be my wife's first experience with a Chinese restaurant you ordered your meal instead of a buffet. They don't have a lot of tables but we decided to sit down and eat. Being hungry and ordering is always a mistake. Needless to say we ordered half the menu and we the food started coming out it seemed never to stop, and each dish was delicious and piping fresh. I am a truck driver my profession and eat all over the United States and this is easily some of the best Chinese food I have had. I ordered $55 in food, which included 2x Orange Chicken Combos, 2x Sweet and Sour Chicken Combos, 1x General Tso Combo, a large Chicken Lo Mein, 12x Crab Rangoon, and 10 Sweet Bread. This was enough to feed all 6 of us to full and have enough for almost everyone to have lunch tomorrow as well. In ending I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area and when we go to the Indy this will be on our stop for food list. The food is amazing and the staff is super nice. read more

I've been trying different Chinese places for the past few weeks to find a "go-to" for all my Chinese cravings. This has been the best thus far. I live too far out for the delivery service so I had to pick it up but it was worth it! We had the sweet and sour pork, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, and pork egg rolls. The egg rolls were pretty good - had lots of flavor and were nice and crunchy. The sweet and sour pork was my fave- they use just the right amount of breading and the sauce was spot on! The beef and broccoli was good but I actually ended up putting a little salt on it bc I found it to be on the sweeter side. The fried rice was pretty good - pretty much standard for any other Chinese place around here. My DH had the general Tsos chicken and although he's not super picky he said it was good and he would order it again. The person taking my order was nice too. They seemed to understand my order and I could understand her when she spoke to me. The food was ready and waiting for us 15min later. I think the prices are good too. The hotel suggested this place and am I glad they did! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! When I asked if they would make me a tofu and veggie stir fry using the General Tso's sauce he told that that would be no problem at all. Before i left the restaurant they told me to bring it back if I didn't love it. I'll just say that this is possibly the best chinese dish I've ever had!!! Veggies and Tofu were cooked perfectly then covered with an amazing sauce! I was so impressed that I called the young man who helped me to tell him how great the meal was and to thank him again for his help. I had a kid in the hospital and didn't want hospital food anymore. When I called the lady was very nice and patient with me since I had a lot of questions. She took her time and answered them for me. The delivery driver was also very nice and polite and he came up to our floor so I didn't have to leave for very long. The food was great too! When it arrived it was still hot and tasted good. Ordered delivery from here a few weeks ago. We are new to the area and want to find a "go to" place for basic Chinese grub. This place wasn't horrible, as the fried rice and crab rangoons were pretty tasty. Had the Lo mein and couldn't even eat more than a few forks full. It is a weird texture and not flavorful! Delivery was very slow, and driver forgot our drinks. He brought them to us, but they didn't come back to us until after we were done with dinner and no further compensation was offered. The food was made fast. We have had chicken and broccoli, chicken fried rice, chicken wings, Chicken egg too young, sweet and sour chicken, general tso chicken, and other chicken menu items. They automatically give you pork egg rolls so if you don't eat pork you must specify that you want vegetable egg rolls they won't ask.
