3.5 Decent service and flavor is good just feels like I'm mostly eating toppings. The scoops of protein are pretty small compared to some other poke places I've been too.

We were on this side of town and my family decided on this. It was good, no complaints! My fish pieces seemed as fresh as can be without catching it myself. The staff members were friendly! Explained everything in detail which is awesome for first timers and people that are curious. Seating outside in the evening shade was a nice touch! Nice folks, food was good and the environment was great.

This is my first time ordering at fish and things and I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the spicy tuna handroll. I can say that it probably is one of the best spicy tuna I've ever had. It actually had a good kick to it where I feel like most spicy tuna are very toned down. I would recommend it on your poke or just getting this handroll! The presentation of it was also very nice! Very fancy with the edible flower

We recently tried this new Poke spot in Palladio. The place is really nice and has a great vibe. Since it was our first time, they did a really great job of explaining all the different types of fish and poke. I went with a regular bowl with three scoops - salmon, hamachi and the poke of the day which was a creamy spicy mix. I loved the toppings, especially the green apple which gave it an amazing crunch and crisp sweetness. If you don't know what you want they also have some signature bowls to choose from. Since I'm trying to eat healthier, I also loved the Zoodle base - no wasting calorie on rice! My husband went big with the large bowl and they didn't skimp. He had lots of extra spicy mayo that he loved. It's a family-owned and run business and the owners were there. They were super nice and friendly and we love what they've created. We look forward to going back again soon!

This place served fresh ingredients and really helpful team members! My friend and I came in for lunch and we couldn't decide which one to try because they had so many options. Luckily the helpful team member gave us a few suggestions. We decided to try their crispy salmon skin rice box and the Bruceville roll. The rice box had perfectly crisp salmon skin -which I love! And the sushi roll was fresh and was perfect to share between the two of us. Definitely considering going back to try their tacos and poke bowls next time.

What they don't have in variety, they make up in the freshness and quality of ingredients. We're visiting the area from the SF Bay Area and are used to poke places that have a greater variety of toppings and mix-ins at a lower price. The quality of the fish here and the good sushi rice make it a worthwhile stop. Service is very fast and friendly. When we arrived there were very few customers in the place, but all the workers were busy behind the counter packing take out orders. While we were dining, the restaurant began to fill up. The restaurant is clean and modern looking with a nice parklet outside for Al fresco dining if the weather is fine.

Great food and good service! My husband says their bowls are as good as if we were in Hawaii. I usually eat the cooked food so I got the chicken teriyaki and it was delicious! My husband always gets his favorite cooked salmon skin plate. Highly recommend if you're looking for good sushi and poke bowl!

    Classic poké
    Stan T.

Friendly staff, great location, beautiful space and relaxing music creates a nice vibe. It checked off all the boxes for me - until I took that first bite. I ordered the classic poké. It looked classic enough. Just some soy sauce, onions, macadamia, sesame oil. None of the overstuffing with sides that you get with non-traditional poké. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was disappointed at how salty this was. The amount of soy sauce and sesame oil was pretty intense and it was difficult to eat. But for $23 I wasn't about to waste it and forced myself to finish it. After the meal, I ended up going somewhere to get dessert just to counter that salty taste that kept on lingering. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place and I hope to have a better experience food-wise if I ever make it back here.

I AM BEYOND EXCITED that we now have a Fish & Things here in Folsom I no longer have to drive to Elk Grove. It's located right next to the movie theatre you CANNOT miss it. Such a fresh look as well as FRESH POKE! I'm a local girl and this taste so fresh and Mayn their crab salad ONO!!! And right when you walk in old school Hawaiian music playing makes me feel back at home. The service was very welcoming you can definitely feel the aloha I think I saw the owner which seem like a local guy as well shoots Braddah mahalo for the ono grindz.

They have been open for 5 days. A franchise started in Elk Grove, San Diego and San Jose. Very welcoming owner who sat with us to chat about poke and the business! Very clean and comfortable dining area. Owner's Tip for next visit is to try the Salmon skin with creamy sesame sauce! We enjoyed our poke bowls, fish is fresh and delivered daily from Hawaii! We love the many variations of poke and so many choices of sauces!! Definitely will return! Mahalo Ruben and LeslieAnn!

Actual is rating is 4.5 and this was cause of an order mix up. Saw a social media posting of the soft opening for the new location and the posts looked great( shoutout to the person who is in charge of your IG handle). We weren't sure if they'd be taking orders as we were going to arrive 20 mins before closing. The online ordering was smooth and got confirmation and updates pretty quick. We got there on a weekday at 7:30pm so parking was easier to find, typically the Palladio can be super busy and you have to park further out (the restaurant is located at a pretty prime spot). It is all free parking. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff, the space looked clean and inviting - providing both inside and outside seating space. We decided to order one of their prefixed and the other to build our own. Overall the food was great, good portions and fresh ingredients. Only thing was they mixed my order and gave me mixed greens instead of cucumber. My husband got their heat wave and he loved the combination. His only remark was the zucchini noodles felt like a filler. A friendly staff helped us pick out a drink which was very refreshing and checked in to see if anything else was needed. Decently priced given the quantity and fresh ingredients. Would come again and try other combinations as I felt the spicy salmon and spicy yuzu wasn't enough of a kick for me. They do have a vast menu and variety to pick from so looking forward to building another combination.

It just always makes me laugh when staff likes to make you feel bad for not having a reservation. Like, come on... there were SO many open tables throughout the entire 90 minutes we were there. Anyway-- I got a glass of the house red wine for the happy hour special, it was good. And we got to squeak in an order of the Ahi Nachos, which I believe are only offered on Happy Hour, and OMG, they were SO good. We were still talking about them the next day. The "nachos" were like a fried wonton. And just all around, the entire dish was delicious! Spicy jalapeños, quality tuna. Go to this place, even JUST for these nachos. The spicy crab (or lobster, I can't remember) bisque, was also really good. I'd recommend it. Mildly spicy, not crazy. My coworker got the caesar salad, and was very underwhelmed with it. For my entree I got the Pesto Scallop pasta. The scallops were overcooked, and underwhelming, in size. But I acknowledge that could just be the season. Doesn't excuse the fact that they were overcooked. The pesto sauce was yummy! I give this place a solid 4 stars, and would definitely revisit next time I'm back in the area. Ahi Tuna Nachos get a 5 star, though, for sure. Thanks for hosting us!

I first made a reservation online, one week in advance for 5pm on a Tuesday. In the reservation notes, I specifically requested a table on the patio (I have a toddler that is in the throwing food on the ground phase), requesting a high chair and stating this dinner is for a 69th birthday dinner. When we arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled reservation, we had to wait almost 15 minutes past our reservation because our table outside was not ready. We had to wait for them to get cushions for the patio chairs, wait time 15 minutes. When they brought us back to the table stating it was "ready" - it wasn't; the table was not wiped down, there was not a high chair, no napkins/utinsils - needless to say, the table was still not ready. After almost 30 minutes past our reservation time, we finally sat down. Our server Nick was cool, personable and provided good recommendations. The best thing we ordered was the lobster roll. One of the best I have ever tried. They have a good selection of starters, seems to be their bread and butter at Eldo, just the starters. The oysters 1/2 doz for $24 was pretty good, nice and fresh oysters. The following entrees were pretty salty which included the Eldo Burger and Bolognese. My shrimp skewers were okay, it came with 2 skewers and the rest of the plate was a cucumber salad, a lot of roasted potatoes and 2 large homemade pita flatbread, nothing to write home about with the entrees. Pretty disappointing all together with the main dishes. With a bill of $325, sad to say Eldo is overrated in my honest opinion, sadly not rushing back for a second visit anytime soon.

She patiently explained the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered across the menu: a ribeye, a filet, the salmon, and one of the daily specials, scallops. There were a couple of substitutions: extra spinach instead of mashed potatoes with the salmon and fingerling potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes with the ribeye. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as well. Everything was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. The proteins were substantial, well worth the price. We tried two desserts, the crème brûlée and the banana cheesecake. They matched the quality of the entrees. Everyone remarked on how great the sourdough bread that was brought to the table was. As the ladies in our party said, you could make a meal out of the bread along with some cheese and wine. We were seated in one of the side rooms, which didn't seem to hinder the service at all. FOOD we started with the chilled prawn cocktail. the prawns were fantastic, and the cocktail sauce was divine. we jumped into a cup of lobster bisque; which was something i was looking forward to. unfortunately, the soup tasted like a very bland tomato fish soup. ugh. it lacked flavor and i don't think there was hardly any lobster in it. major bummer! we go the surf and turf (with lobster), the rib eye, and mushrooms and brussels to accompany the steaks. TONS of food, which was nice (especially for the price)! both steaks were ordered medium rare; the filet was cooked as ordered and the rib eye was on the medium/medium well side. however, the major bummer with the rib eye was the menu states well marbled but the steak gas VERY fatty when you're paying $62 for a USDA prime, "well-marbled" (per the menu's description) steak, the last thing i'd expect is to describe the steak as more fatty then marbled. the sides were great; the garlic mashed potatoes with the soy wasabi sauce were incredible! SERVICE our server started out very attentive and progressively we saw him less and less throughout the night; waiting for the check, needing water refills, etc. i get that everyone has busy tables and the F&B industry is having a tough time, but dang. at a place like this, i'd expect top notch service throughout the dining experience! AMBIANCE it's very nice inside. super cool bar when you first walk in. lots of spacious seating so you're not sitting on top of one another and modern decor. after having worked in F&B, i totally understand the industry; some nights people call out, larger parties consume the kitchen, etc. but for the price, nothing really seemed to blow us out of the water :( hopefully it was just a bad night that we went. it has a great reputation for a reason! hoping the next visit is a better experience!

But in general, if you come a little earlier, it looks like they have the full menu, and service is actually pretty great. I would say the food is a solid six or seven out of 10, and we are serious foodies over here, husband went to culinary school. I think also people giving this place such poor reviews are also not keeping in mind the view. And dining outdoors. That is definitely a huge part of the experience here. And worth a little extra money. I would say the Food, the service, and the environment All make for a pretty good experience worth returning To. For food I would recommend the burrata salad and crawdad bucket. We also got the skewers and fish tacos which left room for desire.

This was an unexpected disappointment. I'm not sure what niche this restaurant fills. The bar was…read morecrowded and fun (Tuesday night trivia). The dining area has an entire wall specifically designed for fun instagram shots. And the view off the patio is breathtaking. The staff is all young and enthusiastically pleasant. Parking is easy and plentiful. The menu and wine list is varied and will easily satisfy a large group's diverse palate. Jambalaya and gumbo were delightfully spicy. The lighting in the dining room was bright - but a 7 pm, this just gave a cafeteria vibe and no ambience. The food is fine, but one our party had to wait 10 minutes for her food after everyone else had been served. After much thought I'd say the entire evening was ok, the staff is eager. However, this place is like a very clean dive bar and dining is not its main draw.

The food is consistently phenomenal. A varied menu from appetizers to lunch and dinner items. These chefs have perfected every dish. Big portions... no skimping at Manderes. Top notch ingredients and just the right amount of seasoning. Special rotating dinner selections too. Just so many choices. The Mongolian pork chop is outta this world. The simple Angus burger is served between sourdough buns. No mushy regular hamburger buns. The fries are crisp, hot and plentiful. Salads, sandwiches, and mouth-watering appetizers. Someone is getting hungry just writing this!:) Happy Hour 3 to 5, Monday thru Friday. All the beer and wine selections are quality... with a capital Q. No crap on tap... as they say. Popular crab cakes, calamari, wings and more. You cannot go wrong. The customer service remains the best in the restaurant world. Seriously. Long time peeps who are pros. Every single one is incredible. You have their attention from start to finish. Hard workers. Manderes is not fancy. Ambiance is a cool, small, cozy area which includes a bar. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!
