Amazing Poke! Probably one of the best in Folsom! Didn't smell fishy inside. It had lots of great flavor!

6/2/26 Our big boy's promotion day choice was something seafood and he landed on Fish and Things Poke Bar on Yelp finds. We came by for a family lunch today right at opening after youngest promotion day. I'm sure it was strategically planned as he wanted to hit up Barnes and Nobles after for some books ;) I got myself a smart book worm kid I tell yah...must be my side of the family hahaha. Anyways, back to the review...we were the first diners to arrive. My oldest son is always down for Poke! Nolan ordered a large and it was 5 scoops of protein for $25.95 (fairly small scoops imo), with a base of his choice and he chose mix rice and mixed greens. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it was nothing special and that it was kinda pricey for what he got. He also said he was confused when he was trying to pick the fish from the buffet space as it didn't match the signs in front of them so he had to order from the menu and watch the guys put it in his bowl. Not sure if they just weren't ready for us as we were the first diners of the day. My youngest ordered the Taco trio which consists of 1 Ahi Poke Taco, 1 Salmon Poke Taco and 1 Cooked Salmon Taco for $19.99. The entree came out looking pretty appetizing but we were disappointed that the taco shells were all stale. Not crunchy in anyway. My son ate most of the filling and left the shells. We ordered the SALMON CARPACCIO which was described as 7 pieces thinly sliced fresh salmon, microgreens, sesame seeds, japanese seven spice, yuzu ponzu for 18.50 to share. When this came out, my son was so surprised that it was so tiny as it was not enough to share so my little man had it all to himself. I couldn't decide what to order. I debated on the fish and chips but was told they didn't have batter so it was a no go special today. The said the poke nacho's was popular but I wasn't craving poke personally. So my partner and I ended up ordering (2) servings of Garlic Shrimp. When I asked how many shrimps came with the servings, the guy behind the counter didn't know. It came out with 7 shrimps and a tiny bit of garlic over a ton of rice. Flavor was good, I wanted more sauce and garlic to go with the rice we were given. This place doesn't skimp on rice in their bowls. All in all, portions to prices were a bit off for us. The guys behind the counters were nice. Place was clean. read more

We recently tried this new Poke spot in Palladio. The place is really nice and has a great vibe. Since it was our first time, they did a really great job of explaining all the different types of fish and poke. I went with a regular bowl with three scoops - salmon, hamachi and the poke of the day which was a creamy spicy mix. I loved the toppings, especially the green apple which gave it an amazing crunch and crisp sweetness. If you don't know what you want they also have some signature bowls to choose from. Since I'm trying to eat healthier, I also loved the Zoodle base - no wasting calorie on rice! My husband went big with the large bowl and they didn't skimp. He had lots of extra spicy mayo that he loved. It's a family-owned and run business and the owners were there. They were super nice and friendly and we love what they've created. This is my first time ordering at fish and things and I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the spicy tuna handroll. I can say that it probably is one of the best spicy tuna I've ever had. It actually had a good kick to it where I feel like most spicy tuna are very toned down. I would recommend it on your poke or just getting this handroll! The presentation of it was also very nice! First time in this shopping center, and was eager to get some poke. I was impressed by all the shops and look alof the center, and was equally impressed by the ambience and space inside Fish and Things. Then the first thing that caught my attention was the poke bowls starting at $22. It felt like an obscene number (and now, I assume that it is on par with this shopping center), but I was really wanting poke for lunch. The staff were friendly, but I was even more disappointed with how liberal they were with the rice and greens, but then throttled the fish servings with the cookie dough scooper. It was even more tough when I see the other working helping out their friend and giving an extra half scoop. After trying it, it definitely wasn't worth $24 for the medium, but it was quite tasty. While I would default to the 3 out of 5, I did appreciate the worker doing the sauces in a separate bowl with the veggies and non-marinted fish, while keeping the marinated fish in the bowl. I appreciate this intentionality, and would come back in a heartbeat if it was priced at even 16/18/20. But unless I really wanted poke again, I don't see myself paying that much again for it. read more

This place served fresh ingredients and really helpful team members! My friend and I came in for lunch and we couldn't decide which one to try because they had so many options. Luckily the helpful team member gave us a few suggestions. We decided to try their crispy salmon skin rice box and the Bruceville roll. The rice box had perfectly crisp salmon skin -which I love! And the sushi roll was fresh and was perfect to share between the two of us. Definitely considering going back to try their tacos and poke bowls next time. read more

What they don't have in variety, they make up in the freshness and quality of ingredients. We're visiting the area from the SF Bay Area and are used to poke places that have a greater variety of toppings and mix-ins at a lower price. The quality of the fish here and the good sushi rice make it a worthwhile stop. Service is very fast and friendly. When we arrived there were very few customers in the place, but all the workers were busy behind the counter packing take out orders. While we were dining, the restaurant began to fill up. The restaurant is clean and modern looking with a nice parklet outside for Al fresco dining if the weather is fine. read more

I think the poke here was alright! The biggest thing is that the cost is pretty heavy for the size of the bowl/amount of poke you get. I don't really get poke around Sac since I haven't found any good options, but in SoCal it would not cost this much. I would understand if the quality was better but I don't think it is. read more

Great food and good service! My husband says their bowls are as good as if we were in Hawaii. I usually eat the cooked food so I got the chicken teriyaki and it was delicious! Friendly staff, great location, beautiful space and relaxing music creates a nice vibe. It checked off all the boxes for me - until I took that first bite. I ordered the classic poké. It looked classic enough. Just some soy sauce, onions, macadamia, sesame oil. None of the overstuffing with sides that you get with non-traditional poké. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was disappointed at how salty this was. The amount of soy sauce and sesame oil was pretty intense and it was difficult to eat. But for $23 I wasn't about to waste it and forced myself to finish it. After the meal, I ended up going somewhere to get dessert just to counter that salty taste that kept on lingering. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place and I hope to have a better experience food-wise if I ever make it back here. read more

They have been open for 5 days. A franchise started in Elk Grove, San Diego and San Jose. Very welcoming owner who sat with us to chat about poke and the business! Very clean and comfortable dining area. Owner's Tip for next visit is to try the Salmon skin with creamy sesame sauce! We enjoyed our poke bowls, fish is fresh and delivered daily from Hawaii! Actual is rating is 4.5 and this was cause of an order mix up. Saw a social media posting of the soft opening for the new location and the posts looked great( shoutout to the person who is in charge of your IG handle). We weren't sure if they'd be taking orders as we were going to arrive 20 mins before closing. The online ordering was smooth and got confirmation and updates pretty quick. We got there on a weekday at 7:30pm so parking was easier to find, typically the Palladio can be super busy and you have to park further out (the restaurant is located at a pretty prime spot). It is all free parking. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff, the space looked clean and inviting - providing both inside and outside seating space. We decided to order one of their prefixed and the other to build our own. Overall the food was great, good portions and fresh ingredients. Only thing was they mixed my order and gave me mixed greens instead of cucumber. My husband got their heat wave and he loved the combination. His only remark was the zucchini noodles felt like a filler. A friendly staff helped us pick out a drink which was very refreshing and checked in to see if anything else was needed. Decently priced given the quantity and fresh ingredients. Would come again and try other combinations as I felt the spicy salmon and spicy yuzu wasn't enough of a kick for me. They do have a vast menu and variety to pick from so looking forward to building another combination. read more
