It includes an area with a bar, high tops, and an arcade. At the back nearest the beach there's a small outdoor seating area, another bar, and typical dining area. It is here that the ambiance was unbearable. Behind the bar there is the loudest stainless steel machine. I think it may be an ice maker, but whatever it is, it's quite loud. In turn this loud machine causes customers to speak even louder, especially drunks stumbling in from the beach. To make things worse a family has a screaming toddler (not a baby) and did nothing to control or quiet it. I think the staff should have addressed this with the family, or asked them to leave. I'm a parent and my kids have screamed in public, but I engage them or remove them. My son and I relocated from the diner back to the arcade area, which was somehow quieter. Here's where things turn positive again. Our server was terrific. She acknowledged the noise and was very attentive. Additionally the shrimp bowl was excellent and my son liked his cheeseburger. The crab cake was terrible, tasting burnt, over seasoned, and had a mushy consistency. Avoid the crab cake, but the rest was excellent.
