We got very disappointed with the food. Fish dip was ok, this cup of bowl was the smallest cup that I ever had, and the flavor also ok, nothing special. While traveling through this town, we were hungry, so I yelped the area and decided to give this lake restaurant a try since it had pretty good reviews. Because I checked in with my Yelp app I got a free cup of soup or margarita. I chose the swamp soup. Which was black-eyed peas, kale, onion and spicey andouille sausage. While most of the soup was kale, it had pretty good flavor. I think we only got two black-eyed peas, though. But our main mean was the mahi mahi fried fish sandwich. It was delish!!! The sandwich had two big pieces of fish, lettuce, tomato and homemade tarter sauce on the side. And the seasoned fries were perfectly fried as well. I'd recommend this place for lunch. read more

I have come to the Fish Camp for some years now. My group always enjoyed the food, however the changes that were made after new ownership did not improve the food we all enjoyed before. The fries and coleslaw were different and not as good as before. The breading on the cod was soggy and on the haddock so thick that it overpowered the fish. I had the shrimp platter, my dad had the catfish platter, and my mom had the shrimp linguini as we celebrated dad's birthday. They were all happy with their meals, although I thought my fried shrimp were a bit lackluster since the coating was sluffing off. The side of hush puppies and slaw were both generous and tasty. Second time and again, great! I had the Grouper Reuben sandwich and it was great. It comes with a side and we all loved the kale caesar salad. My wife got the gf crab cake. It was good, but pricey for just one cake. It came with 2 sides, so that's ok price-wise. Our daughter had the salmon and liked that a lot and 2 big pieces. We've been hear several times before and have been very pleased but thi time, a major disappointment when we went with a couple of friends for a nice, leisurely dinner. first, our soups and salads came out at the same time, then the main course followed 2 minutes later. we had ordered 3 grilled and 1 fried mahi. what we got was the fried mahi ( which was excellent ), 2 cold grilled mahi and the 3rd mahi came 10 minutes later with NO sides. the cold mahi were returned and came back as blackened and we don't know why. it didn't seem to bother them that it came back blackened. read more

Produce is from a local Hydroponic Farm and the Kale Ceasar Salad is so Delicious! The Head Chef, Troy is a gifted chef who makes special efforts to get out of the kitchen from time to time and greet guests and make sure everyone is satisfied and happy with their food. Staff: Jim & Nina have attracted some of the finest staff you'll ever encounter in a restaurant. From Randall the Host, to one of their warm, friendly, attentive servers like Paulo, Josh, or any of the others you will feel welcomed and appreciated. And of course the view of the water, the Sunsets, the ambiance is relaxing, comfortable and never rushed. The place has become like "Cheers" - "where everybody knows your name". We drove from Daytona Beach to meet up with family at the Fish Camp on Lake Eustis. We ordered three Mahi Mahi Sunday dinners, kids chicken nuggets and one grouper tacos dinner. All the food was good, met our expectations; although thought the fried mahi mahi was a bit dry. The disappointment was that only 2 of the 3 mahi mahi dinners were served with a wrong dish that was not ordered as the third dish. Once this was brought to the server's attention he quickly corrected by removing the wrong order and requesting the correct mahi mahi dinner. The corrected order did not show up after we had finished our food and probably cause the restaurant was busy. A lobster roll containing more paper than food costs $29.99. My order was undercooked or not cooked at all. When I tried to cut a large piece of lobster I couldn't - it was like chewing gum. The manager, on hearing of my experience offered to lower the price of the inedible dish to $15 but I would have to pay full price for another dish. Poor decision. I paid $15 for no food. If you sit on the terrace you will have the noise of either their blasting stereo in their effort to drown out the car traffic noise from 441. Go on line and check the prices before going.
