    Parking is all around, if you're lucky it's free but if not there is a small fee. I'm so glad to finally have tried this place. I was craving raw oysters and to my surprise they're part of their daily Happy Hour, except on Saturday. I could be wrong but everything I've eaten tasted fresh and from scratch. You can't go wrong with the clam chowder and lobster. The Halibut fish and chips were delicious and not overly greasy. The drinks are good but the ones on happy hour are ok. There guests seem to be a mixture of company dinners and couples. They have a bar area and a couple of TVs streaming different sports. The music is good and the servers are kind. My favorite drink was the Whiskey Rose Mallow. Great place to dine.

    Let me start off with saying the service at this location was amazing. The servers at the restaurant were very attentive to our needs and made sure we always had what we needed. When I went it was a Friday night and was really really full and loud but made the environment feel lively. The food wasn't to die for but it was good, I would not mind going back. The dishes had good seasoning and were served well.

    One of the best seafood options in the South Bay. Open since 1981 they specialize in seafood, but have a pretty large menu with all sorts of other options as well. Parking is really easy, there is a two-story parking garage across the street with metered parking or you can find a metered street spot. Inside is fairly large, complete full bar and many different table seating options. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit I chose the Lobster Bisque to start and really liked it. It was well balanced and had some nice flavors. I did think it could have had more lobster meat in it, but still it tasted great. For my entrée I chose the Chilean Seabass and I thought it was amazing. The dill piccata sauce was a real hit and everything about it was just great. I would highly recommend and this would especially be a good spot for dinner with friends or family.

    Delicious food and the best Cioppino we have had by far. We drove one hour just because we wanted to get the Cioppino again. The shrimp scampi was also delightful with creamy rich sauce but I must say that the portion was dramatically smaller than we anticipated. Not a good option if you are very hungry. As always, great vibes, delicious food and wonderful servers.

    This is my second time here, and yes -- it's the best spot in Manhattan Beach. The Baywater oysters were incredible, even better than Kumamoto oysters in my opinion. The clam soup was amazing, and the grilled lobster was so fresh it felt like it had just come out of the ocean. We really enjoyed everything, and if you're in the area, this is definitely the place to go!

    Honestly, decided to give this place a try just because was looking for any close Resy places to where I was staying, and boy am I glad I did. The clam chowder was bomb and the lobster tacos were just as tasty, Substituted the rice for garlic fries which were some of the best I've had in a while. Really cozy interior and the restaurant is also a block away from the beach.

    Good seafood spot. I had the branzino which was probably the best dish among the 5 people in our group. Husband got the cioppino. That was good but it had a creamy broth that was different from the typical cioppino broth. Not what he expected. Oysters were fresh and tasty. And loved the unlimited fresh sourdough bread. Service was good too. Artichoke appetizer was just ok. Would've been better if they put it on the grill after boiling. But it seemed it was just boiled. Taste was a bit bland. Overall though a good experience.

    Came to FishBar with our extended family to celebrate my mother in law's birthday, and overall it was a really nice experience. They were great about accommodating our reservation for thirteen people, which already made the night easier. Our waitress, Ms. Erica, as our little girls called her, was absolutely amazing. She was patient, kind, and handled our big group like a pro. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really appealing vibe. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and said it was good, just not something he was blown away by. I had the salmon with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The salmon was a good portion size, which I was relieved about after seeing some reviews. It tasted great. The mashed potatoes honestly stole the show. The sautéed spinach was pretty bland. Our daughter ordered the penne pasta with butter, and I added the grilled chicken for her. The chicken was good, but she was not a fan of the pasta. It did not have much flavor and the presentation was not very appealing. She did enjoy the strawberry lemonade, so at least we had a win there. At the end of the meal, Erica surprised us by bringing out two plates of their ice cream sandwich desserts so we could sing happy birthday. It was such a sweet touch and made the moment special. All in all, I would come back to try a few other dishes. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the experience for our birthday celebration was memorable.

    We came in for late dinner on a Friday night and were quickly seated. We enjoyed the nautical beach vibes and our friendly server. We both got plates from the mesquite grill. I liked my scallops, perfectly seasoned and enjoyed the broccoli rabe - if ordered again I would try something other than the baked potatoes. My partner got the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes (creamy and delicious) and Brussels sprouts which came with a hefty serving of friend onions. We split a side of mac and cheese which was a perfect portion for 2. Lots of options on this menu so I would definitely return to try new things.

    3.75 stars rounded up to 4. I came here for dinner Sunday night. It's a nice restaurant with nice decor and a bit of an elegant feel. We had some grilled oysters and the crispy rice tuna for appetizers, which were both so tasty and a bit spicy. I ordered the coconut crusted mahi mahi as my main course and was a bit disappointed by it. The rice was hard and the fish and sauce didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. For dessert, I ordered the banana bread pudding, which was a great choice and somewhat made up for the disappointing main course. The service was good, as our waitress made sure we had what we asked for.

    This is my new favorite spot in town. The Peruvian Scallops and the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna are my standouts, but I also highly recommend the Fish & Chips and even the Salmon Entree. Prices are on the pricier end, but it's worth every penny. Reservations are best, as they do get quite busy in the evening. There's a variety of seating. Not sure this is the place for large groups, but 2-6 can sit comfortably in here. There's also a nice bar area and ample TVs indoors. If you drop in, the bar is a great option for both drinks and food. Parking is available on the street or in a nearby parking garage. That garage is pretty tight and hard to access, so I suggest looking on the street first. I will be back to try out the Happy Hour very soon!

    Looks fancy on the outside but is more casual and beachy on the inside. We made a reservation online to secure a spot. It was busy but not every table was filled. For food we got the coconut shrimp and clam chowder apps. For dinner we ordered the Cioppino and blackened mahi mahi with the loaded baked potato. Both were delicious and we'll definitely be back. Parking is easy and convenient at the public lot across the street.

    I have had an excellent experience at Fishbar in Manhattan Beach. The seafood here is really good, and everything I have tried has been flavorful and well-prepared. I especially loved the branzino--it is now one of my favorite dishes. Our waitress actually recommended it, and I am glad she did because it did not disappoint. The salmon tempura was something different for me, but it was definitely good. I also tried the clam chowder, and that was solid as well. I ended up coming back a second time and brought my mom, and she really enjoyed it too. That says a lot. We did have a small hiccup with one of the soups we took to go, but what stood out was how management handled it. They acknowledged the issue and resolved it in a way that made me feel valued as a customer. That kind of service makes you want to come back. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to, which is something you really appreciate these days. Overall, great food, great service, and a place I will definitely be returning to. I would absolutely encourage others to check it out.

    Hands down the best fish tacos in the South Bay! I recommend the lobster tacos on Tuesday which are only 10 dollars! A++

    Fantastic place to get oysters and a beer. Their filet mignon is pretty good too. They have alagash white on tap which no place does.

One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. We quickly moved on to dinner, here's what the table ordered: Lobster & Sweet Corn Risotto - the risotto was cooked perfectly. Be sure to mix that poblano pepper butter in the middle up, it adds a great smoky chili flavor to each bite. My oinly complaint about this dish is that they used claw meat. I'm just not a fan of lobster claw, it's too gelatinously rubbery for me. Skirt Steak - Oooo, this was medium rare to perfection. The smoked paprika chimichurri gave a burst of flavor and a mild heat at the back of my throat. Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean sea bass always cuts like buttah! 2 people ordered this at our table and I'm pretty sure they loved it, that side of the table was pretty silent for 15 - 20 mins. Pork Porterhouse - This dish had the most flavor. The spaetzle was cooked and browned on the griddle, it had a fantastic crispy crust. It was a little on the salty side BUT I think 's because it needed more carbs to tame the salt. For me, it would have been PERFECT with a little rice or mashed potatoes or creamed sunchokes. Parking still sucks in MB but right behind the restaurant is a parking garage that's free after 6 pm.

They also offered me some other sides I could substitute as well, such as onion rings or sweet potato fries. When I asked about the soup selection, they gave me four I could choose from. I ordered the French Onion. Anyway, the portions were generous and everything was delicious. It was also a great value for the amount and quality of food. The Kettle is open 24 hours. If you ever want late night (or anytime) eats in Manhattan Beach, I highly recommend The Kettle for a good solid meal.

We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!

So, I ordered the chicken meatball banh mi sandwich with a side salad (removing the jalapeño and spicy mayo). My friend ordered a Thai iced coffee and the pineapple curry. The food came out relatively quickly. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced coffee, but she said she wished she'd ordered the Thai tea instead. She also really liked her pineapple curry, and it came out piping hot. I tried it and it was super spicy, so not for me, but she really enjoyed it. My banh mi sandwich was interesting. Right off the bat, it was 75% bread. The bread wasn't bad. In fact, it was chewy and not tough to tear into, but the sandwich itself was mostly bread. There were only like three meatballs in the sandwich, which were cut in half, and I feel like there wasn't anything special about the meatballs. If I was blindfolded, I would think they were the Great Value frozen meatballs in a bag from Walmart. The pickled cabbage was nice though, even if the mixture made the entire bottom of the sandwich soggy af (but I like soggy bread so it was fine with me). I tore most of the bread off and left it on the plate. The side salad dressing also spilled onto the sandwich and contributed to the soggy bread. Now that I'm looking at the photo I took of the sandwich, there wasn't much cilantro on there at all. The pickled cabbage was at the very bottom buried in between all the bread.
