My family and I love this place. The food and the service is very good, and the place is convenient for us.

We came in before closing for a quick drink. Restaurant was full with a birthday dinner. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. We got to know the bartender Javier a bit, he was kind, easy to chat with and attentive. I had a porque no glass of red wine and my friend had a whiskey sour that she enjoyed. We were a little bummed we didn't eat here but nonetheless we are happy to walk into a place that we look forward to dining at. We look forward for some food next time!!! read more

recently had the opportunity to take some friends to Lido di Manhattan Beach Restaurant & Bar, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, and has an amazing atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. The food was good, fresh, and nicely prepared. While I felt the prices were a little high for the quality and portions served, the overall dining experience was still pleasant. We were four adults and two children, ordered a few kids' meals and regular entrees, and our bill came to approximately $400. Nothing we ordered was particularly extravagant, which is why I felt the pricing was somewhat on the expensive side. That said, the service, ambiance, and cleanliness of the restaurant helped make the visit worthwhile. If you're looking for a nice place with a welcoming atmosphere in Manhattan Beach, Lido di Manhattan Beach is definitely worth a visit. read more

I'm a long-time regular at this restaurant, and I absolutely love it. It always has such a cozy and warm atmosphere. Yesterday, I went there for a Christmas dinner, and the vibe was wonderful--the decorations were beautiful as well. I always come here for the seafood combo pasta. It's never heavy or greasy, so I end up finishing every last bit of the sauce. A cute date night spot! Cozy booths for two line one wall with a larger banquette on the opposite side for larger parties. Eclectic decor and chandeliers add ambiance. Great options for gluten free patrons! We had the eggplant rolls as an appetizer. My husband had the herb crusted salmon and Gorgonzola mashed potatoes. He described both as "good, but not life altering." I had the spicy pasta with the gluten free penne. The noodles were of good quality and cooked to the perfect consistency unlike other establishments who use corn-based or other poor pasta substitutions. One star was removed for what can only be described as an incredibly awkward encounter with another patron. An older couple was seated in the booth behind us, and the female patron rudely told the people sitting next to us that they were being too loud. They were absolutely NOT being overly loud, just having a fun conversation over dinner. After that encounter, we realized that the older couple must be regular customers as they were warmly greeted by the waitstaff. Not 15 minutes later, the lady traveled to the other side of the room to scold an entire family for being loud (which again, they were not). The poor people were mortified. I wish the employees would have said something to her, but the behavior was unchecked and cast an uncomfortable pall over our side of the restaurant. We felt so badly for the family that we actually went over to reassure them when the grumpy lady went to the restroom. read more

I simply love this restaurant. Lido Di Manhattan is a restaurant located in a shopping plaza which is amazing since there are numerous parking spots. When you walk into the restaurant, the ambiance is so cozy and romantic. It's a good sized restaurant for anyone looking for a beautiful restaurant for a large party or even a date night. When I came here with my friend, we were pleasantly welcomed by the warm hostess. We sat at the bar and had great conversations with her while she told us the history of the restaurant and everything it has to offer. For food, we ordered the calamari, another dish we shared and a few red wines off the menu. We also ordered the tiramisu which was hands down the best tiramisu I ever had. Had dinner at this establishment on 4/3/26. I ordered the Prime rib, my wife, the Chilean sea bass. The Prime rib appeared to be overcooked and was tough as leather. I sent back the Prime rib and I requested the Lamb. The waiter brought back the Lamb shank. Wasn't impressed with the flavoring but it was much more tender than the Prime rib. By the next morning, I'm vomiting and experiencing diarrhea, symptoms of food poisoning. My wife sampled some of the Lamb and also had symptoms. I recommend not eating at this restaurant. We went into this restaurant knowing nothing about it, and discovered it is a longtime local favorite. They were very welcoming, and our server, Heidi made us feel at home. We had the chopped salad to start, lightly dressed and very fresh. The short rib ravioli was very tasty. Crab linguine and chicken Parmesan for the entrees - both were very good. I decided to make the trek from Orange County to Manhattan Beach for the day. I admittedly have been watching Kitchen Nightmares and learned that this restaurant has stood the test of time. My server was kind and made an excellent suggestion. I enjoyed my Chicken Sausage Rigatoni and then made room for the Tiramisu. A lovely glass of Syrah and an abundance of solitude in a lightly filled restaurant on an easy Monday night. Server barely made her rounds, which isn't really her fault, looked like they were understaffed. Also I did call the night before asking if we would still have access to original menu and I was told yes. Come to find out the night of that we were limited to the valentines menu. Food was good, I just wish the service was better and had access to the entire menu, or at least told prior that we didn't. Haven't been to lido in years. In Manhattan beach is a gem in disguise. My wife made reservation for us. Staff was super nice and tentative. We got seated on our arrival. We ordered risotto which is the best in the area. One pasta and one ravioli plate. She got soup of the day clam chowder which was delicious. The decor is old charm lets modern chic. It wasn't a busy night when we were there it used to be super pack house. Place been more than 30 years of service. Recommend for family gathering date night and corporate events. Parking isn't an issue for private lot. read more

Been dealing with some personal stuff and just haven't returned. I went this weekend for a bday dinner & felt like I'd never left. I felt happy to be back. The staff were all amazing, still there and still loyal. The food was amazing and the same locals were there and also still loyal. As I walked in I was greeted by the smiles and warmth of Javier, Carlos, Heidi and others who remembered me. I had just missed Lisa the owner. We ordered the lobster ravioli twice it was so good. Sea bass w risotto and chocolate soufflé off the charts. Plus they have incredible wines. An amazing patio if you prefer to be outside And you can watch sports in the bar if you So desire. Not impressed, and would never go back unless someone is having a party and only drink the water. The service was slow, and the pace wasn't even a third full. We came here for a graduation party in a private room towards the back. I have to say that this is one of the best parties that I have ever been to at a restaurant with amazing service. I have been here before for another party and it was the same with great service. I have to say wow to the Caesar Salad. I am all about salads and I have to say that this place has one of the best I've ever had. If you like Sword Fish, Lido is spot on. The last time that I had swordfish, it was dry. The good: I came here for a private event where the entire restaurant was booked just for my friend. It was cool that you could do that and the service was great. I tried fried mozzarella cheese balls, a deliciously saucy and complex pasta dish with spinach, a chopped salad, a spring roll, a flatbread and some cookies. I also tried their guava juice and lemonade. There is an outdoor patio space that's enclosed with heat lamps. There's plenty of parking because the restaurant is in the same plaza as a grocery store. The bad: It was dark inside during the daytime. The spring roll was too sour. The decor was a bit messy and random. The patio had lots of unused votives outside, plastic garden butterflies, and jars of corks. Inside, there were placards of people's names (customers who frequent the place?). The interesting: The buffet was setup in the front corner for the event but it wasn't great for flow. I'm unsure where else it could've been placed because the restaurant's long and narrow shape limited the flow a bit. read more

The dishes were outstanding. I highly recommend the Heirloom Burrata Caprese and Seafood Combo Linguini. We also had the Manilla Clams Linguine and Italian Sausage Lasagna. They use fresh ingredients and you can tell because they tasted amazing! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were attentively looked after by our gracious hostess, who made us feel right at home. The staff's attention to detail was impressive--they even replaced our candle to ensure it was perfectly lit. I almost didn't notice it, as I was admiring the rustic and cozy, coastal-inspired decor. I also appreciated the kids' menu, and my children happily finished their plates, proving they loved the food as much as we did. Their tiramisu is a must-try and the mango sorbet was such a treat. I was surprised to "discover" this place. I know it's been around but just didn't ever have the chance to visit. Service was really good. Very attentive host and wait staff. Water was brought when asked and bread kept coming. They provided recommendations and had a very positive attitude. Food was great. Although I would say the main dishes were what were the highlights of the night. Every dish that was ordered was loved by our entire party. I had the Lido's Famous Vodka with shrimp and that was tremendous. The shrimp were huge! Others had a large variety such as the seafood risotto, gnocchi, fish, seafood pasta... not a single complaint. My only "disappointment " were with most of the appetizers. They were just average at best. The exception were the mussels. They were so good and I don't really like mussels. Everyone was slipping up the bread with the sauce. Restaurant itself is fairly big with some dark decor. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall. Definitely coming back. read more
