Called in order mid afternoon on a Monday, server Penny was quite pleasant. Picked up order 20 mnutes later, no one in the restaurant, including servers were masked. I wore a kn95 mask and upon entry, I could smell a super fishy smell, not good. I used the rest room and it was gross... the time grout was black, and no one groups with black grout. A tile was missing altogether and filled in with this black tarry stuff. I ordered the grouper Ruben, lightly blackened and another meal. She gave me the bag I tipped her well and left. Got to the car and she forgot my grouper ruben... mask back on, back to restaurant. She went in back and reappeared with a Styrofoam container that was cold. I left again. Oops! No silverware or napkins....mask back on, back inside where i got silverware. Went back to the car where we figured out that she forgot our condiments. Nope, not going back in AGAIN. As I stated, the Grouper Ruben was cold....the saurkraut they use is disgusting and my lightly blackened fish was way over cooked and way over blackened. The prices they charge are way higher than their online menu for a fish and shrimp combo, yucky grouper reuben and bread pudding, 57 bucks! I tipped Penny 10 bucks my order was not complete, there were no condiments in the bag, nor any utensils....they had the gaul to charge a 3.00 to go charge too..... ugh. So not worth it! We dropped in for a quick bite after the beach and we were pleasantly surprised by what we stumbled into. By far the best food in the area!! We come here every year and we are never disappointed. It seems as though the majority of the restaurants over here like to claim they have "Cajun" food and fail horribly, but this is where it's at!!! The closest to our home cooking that I've had so far. Our waitress Janet was friendly and helpful despite the place being busy. Our only complaint is that the host was arrogant little shit. We were originally seated outside, but the heat was unbearable, so we asked to be seated inside when space became available. He acted like that was absolutely impossible. Best place we have eaten so far in this area. They have a legit chef that cooks some amazing food. Our party of 4 adults and 3 kids all liked it. We had the fried tomatoes, gumbo, two pasta dishes, fried shrimp and a blackened seafood platter. Everything was great. The pasta was the favorite, my group wants to go back later in the week to eat again. One thing to note is that have awesome sides! The fried okra is great, it's not the normal frozen in a bag and mushy stuff! Note that this place is a hole in the wall. I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars if half stars were an option. I had very high hopes for this place after having it recommended to us by our vrbo host and reading the reviews here. As several reviewers have mentioned, this isn't a super fancy place but we don't go to those places as a rule. The food here was slightly above average but parking was difficult and the inside of the restaurant was hot...with no AC, no fans, no ceiling fans and only a couple of windows open. I am from Texas and I am used to the heat but it was very uncomfortable in this restaurant and I wasn't the only one. My hair was completely wet from sweat by the end of our meal. Our waiter's shirt was completely drenched in the back. I would estimate the temperature in the restaurant to be between 85-90. We ate and got out of there quickly because it was cooler outside. My husband had a mahi mahi poboy. I had fish tacos. My son had a Cesar salad with blackened shrimp. My husband said his sandwich was ok. My son forgot to ask for dressing on the side and his salad had way too much dressing. My fish tacos were ok but there were 2 of them and they weren't huge and for $12-13, I would expect a little more. Overall the place wasn't bad as far as the cuisine but the temperature inside makes it so that I cannot recommend it. read more

Came here for lunch on the recommendation of our fishing guide and we were blown away! Every single bite from start to finish was delicious. Between our party we had fried green tomatoes and BBQ shrimp to start and they were both amazing. For our meals, we had shrimp & grits, crawfish etouffee, The Peacemaker, the shrimp Dianne. Everyone loved their meals and the shrimp & grits was the kind of dish you will crave- the grit ball was unique and also incredible. For our meals I got the Cajun linguine and my husband got the red snapper special on top of feta potatoes and greens. The Cajun linguine was amazing - so much flavor and lots of shrimp and crawfish. Tired to eat here one night and wait was almost 2 hours. We went back the next night and went early. Still had to wait almost an hour for a table. There was a sign on the door that said "No Shrimp". Over half the menu had shrimp in the dish. Finally got a seat and waiter told us they were out of Mushroom Fries, shrimp, and grouper. Placed appetizer orders without the mushroom fries. When he came back to take our dinner order, they had shrimp again. But no crab cakes and no baked potatoes. We were seated in a room off of the dining room with no AC. Some windows were open and they had a fan but it still wasn't comfortable. Then a stray cat got in one of the open windows and was under our table. I had a trouble time deciding what I wanted to eat because there were 6 or more dishes with my name on it! I got the shrimp & Grits (spicy) and it was delicious. This shrimp n Grits is nothing like I've had before; the Grits are a deep fried ball in the middle. There is extra spicy creole/Cajun seasoning, which made it flavorful. I tried the creole linguine and boy was it tasty!! The Cajun Alfredo is not too rich with the pasta, it's soooo good. The special red fish I had a bite of, my cousin ate every bite. She is gluten free so they have gluten free dishes for all those people out there who need to eat gluten free. My aunt got the steak and shrimp pasta and ate every bite! My mom got the crawfish étouffée (mild) and loved it. I had a bite and I recommend for anyone who loves crawfish. My other cousin had the Shrimp Dianne and said it was perfectly flavorful and consistency was well done. Fisherman's Corner is a MUST if you are in Perdido Key.... or even Orange Beach / Gulf Shores (it's worth the drive) Call for a reservation for the evening before 4 or less than enthusiastic hostess' will answer the phone, ready to decline you if you don't. During our dining experience they were again, less than friendly... HOWEVER our dining experience was PHENOMENAL! Logan was our server & he completely catered to our every need. He did so with a positive attitude & smile. Our drinks never went dry & the food was excellent - definitely try the fried green tomato appetizer! Laura was on the patio serving beer & wine (they do not have a liquor license). She was friendly & polite. We especially enjoyed our 45 minute wait with her serving us. My family, friends, and I have been enjoying this restaurant for close to 12 years now. The shrimp and grits was a big ball of fried grits that had no flavor and really made me feel sick later. My husband had a seafood platter, the shrimp was great. I tried to call like 3x one day before I just decided to eat else where as well having difficulty with customer service with making a catering order. My husband and I ate here on our last beach trip. Stumbling on this little restaurant we didn't expect much, but boy were we glad to have eaten here! We had the best food! We ordered the fried pickles to start off, and what was served was actual home made cucumber slices made into fried pickles! They were amazing!!
