Pretty solid place. Weekday lunch is $30, and weekend lunch is $40 per person. I like that buffet includes cooked foods, hot pot and soft drinks. Hot pot ingredients available are quite extensive, similar to other purely hot pot places I've been to so it's solid variety for $40. They also of course have a sauce station. Cooked foods includes lots of lobster - fried, steamed, lobster fried rice, etc. Pretty cool. I liked that the steamed lobster was just steamed with no salt or anything, so I was able to give some to my very young kiddo. Service was alright. They were kind and took away our used plates quickly, but they didn't refill our hot pot quick enough and the pot started burning and it smelled very very burnt for a few minutes. We were worried the fire alarm would go off tbh. Something very similar happened a couple tables over. For dinner service, they offer the mini tubs of Haagen Dazs ice cream. For lunch, they only offer regular scooped ice cream, but the chocolate ice cream they gave us was delicious. Place was spacious with lots of seating, they have several private rooms as well ranging from 10-20 people. The bathroom was in very poor condition though, like leaking toilets, broken doors, etc. Bathroom definitely needs an upgrade or just fixing. read more

Man, talk about AYCE seafood! It felt like walking through a Chinese supermarket with all the options you could pick from, including live lobsters, crabs, conch, oysters, snails, etc. They also have cooked seafood, but you definitely had to be quick. Those trays of freshly cooked cheese lobsters were gone in minutes! There was also peking duck, sushi, grilled fish, dessert, so a bunch of options for everyone. Service was pretty good, they came frequently to clean our plates and bring fresh ones. For 4 people, it came out to around $300 after tip on a Friday night. I know weekend pricing is a bit more. Fishman Buffet is a new AYCE seafood buffet that opened in the heart of flushing. The buffet is located on the 3rd Floor, New World Mall, Flushing (Former BBF KTV), behind the Royal Queen Restaurant. I went for Sunday Lunch ($39.99, $69.99 for dinner). For lunch, there was steak, lobsters (cooked in different style), crab legs, oysters, crabs, fish, noodles, sushi/sashimi, soup, hotpot items (fishball, vegetables, beef) and various sodas/can alcohol. For $39.99, it is great value and there were not a lot of people lining for for food. (I am sure this will change as the buffet becomes more popular. You arrive ravenous and ready to devour as much as possible to get your money's worth. If the food is good, you leave satisfied and proud that you made a good choice. If I can I would give this place a 0 star!!! This place is a fraud!! When we first sat down we was told everything was all you can eat expect the kingcrab and the abalone. We was fine with that after the 3rd order of shrimp we requested they said we can't get anymore.... We then ask for more mantis shrimp they also said we can't get anymore. And we order a 2nd place of durian and they also said we can't have anymore also the kingcrab and the frozen shrimp they give you it's NASTY we all didn't even eat it because the meat was very mushy mean it was dead for a long time .... Decided to give this place a try. It's on the 3 floor of mall. Kind of hard to find. Upon entering we came upon a large dim sum restaurant. Turned out to be inside this dim sum restaurant. There was no host at the check in . We end up going inside to find someone that we wanted a table. The lady end up flagging a waiter to direct us to an open seating. We sat down and we kind of understood what the waiter was saying. He was speaking in a dialect we are unfamiliar with. He bought us steamer and hot pot. We went to the buffet and just got what we wanted. The good part was there were stir fried lobsters during lunch time on weekend. It was quickly replenished. There are of other seafood and sushi and meat options there. Price was $39.99 on weekend for lunch. There is a lot of variety for lunch, just that they can work on customer service. Came here for lunch buffet on a Wednesday the charge is $29.99 for the buffet, The waitress told me that if I want the hotpot which includes all the seafood on the outside I had to paid an extra $10.00 which brings the price to $39.99 for the lunch buffet. The waitress said $29.99 is only for the cooked food on the tray that is on the inside of the restaurant. I told her that there is no writing stated that an extra $10.00 for the hotpot and seafood on the outside. She said that's is what the Manager told her to charge extra for hotpot. Probably because I don't speak Chinese "But" I do understand Chinese when they are speaking it, The waitress was badmouthing me to other waitresses about me questioning the price of the buffet. I came here on a Tuesday for lunch, I arrived at 2pm and was quickly seated in a room with another 5 tables. The host sat us down quickly and told us we can get the cooked food right now as our waiter/waitress will come around to set up our hotpot and steamer. Our waitress didn't arrive until 10 mins later. When went out to get the cooked food, we were GREATLY disappointed. There were barely any food left on the platters. I was only able to get boiled lobster claws and a few pieces of tofu. The fried food was horrible, it was deep fried multiple times where it was hard to chew and rip apart. There also a few dimsum options such as the shrimp dumpling, siumai, and spare ribs. LET ME TELL YOU, please skip it. The skin to the shrimp dumpling was so thick and sticky that it didn't taste good at all, the siu mai was just mediocre there was more mushroom ratio to meat filling cause all I tasted was mushroom. The "fresh seafood" area was okay, there was person who will shuck the clams for you but very slowly. There were also some lobster claws, small clams, frozen shrimp, squid, and few plates of beef. If you wanted the razor clams or lobster it was only for dinner (and the label was in Chinese only). What was very disappointing was that we had to obtain our own plates, utensils, AND CLEAN/Dispose of our own plates. The waitress barely came in to check in on us. We made a few trips outside to see if they had refilled any of the hot food, which they NEVER did. The sushi bar was completely empty, duck was gone, hot food was NEVER refilled. This is greatly disappointing. If they weren't going to refill the food for people who came in for lunch they shouldn't have sat us down. Another thing, was around 3pm a bunch of waitresses came in to the room and sat in the back for their "breaks" I'm assuming. No one came to aid us to clean our table, and we had to go outside to pay for our meal. Overall, I DO NOT recommend this place. For 3 people we paid about $100 something. Fishman Buffet is located on the third Floor of New World Mall tucked behind Royal Queen Dim Sum Restaurant. Just follow the blue decor lights because it's quite easy to miss. There's a huge counter with a menu sign next to it. The place used to be a Karaoke bar behind the restaurant. After some renovations they removed some parts of the karaoke and added booths and tables with electric stoves. Its essentially like a seafood fish market / vegetable grocery store in the middle of the restaurant. This place is like a combo 4 In One. You get a 1.STEAMER BASKET to steam food on top of a 2.HOT POT stove which you can add food and cook traditionally in the soup + 3.HOT FOOD Buffet (skewers, peking duck, stir fried food, dry mala pots, fish, meats and etc and a 4.SUSHI BAR. The restaurant kept some VIP and Party rooms which still have karaoke options.The place was doing a promotion so if you come for the "after 8:30pm" general pricing was 50% OFF. The adult price is usually $60 so if you eat after 8:30pm it's only $30 which is a very great deal. They have a lot of generic canned drinks like soda, herbal tea and coconut milk lined up by the cooler fridge. Everything is self-serve. There's also fruit punch, ice tea and desserts Tong Sui. The vegetables, fish balls, and tofu (the things you usually eat) thin sliced meats for hotpot are also in containers that you pick yourself. The fish market has crab legs, mussels, oysters, clams, shrimps, squid, octopus all laid out on ice. The fish monger can help you prepare the raw lobster straight from the tank. I was not allowed to get the live lobster crab and live shrimp because I was doing the 8:30 pm promotion deal. NBD! However if you're here for the regular price dining at 5pm you can order whatever your heart desires. Slap those fresh seafood on the steam and get to experience the fresh taste of seafood. The "fish market" is separate from the Hot food and Sushi. You will have to travel pass the VIP rooms and dining booths to get to the back where all the cooked dishes were served. The sushi was served in the back. All the patrons that were there for the promotion deal were seated in the back , which is where I actually prefer. The room was huge with two giant screens playing Chinese songs with window panels looking out to Main Street and 40th road. The ceilings were high and had great ventilation. I do not prefer getting seated at the booths under the dim blue lights. So if you have a chance please ask them to sit you in the back room. The place literally transports you into an urban city in China. The decor was fancy with statues and jewels, chandeliers all decked out just like the episode of Squid Games in season 1 with all the VIPs. All in all I was quite satisfied with the food and service. The staff starts you off with a hotpot with abalone and chicken soup. You can then put all the raw food in the top steamer or dunk them into the boiling soup like a hotpot. I would actually skip the broth and tell them to give you plain water because the broth was too salty. The staff were attentive and came over to remove plates once you're done. I would stay away from the snow crab legs and lobster claws. They seemed out of season, all skinny and wimpy. The snow crab clusters didn't taste fresh. There were raw oysters served on the half shell garnished with seaweed salad but I wasn't sure if they were meant to be eaten raw or steamed. For people that are not really into Seafood their hot food bar had sufficient items to enjoy. I will definitely return and try to go early and enjoy the full dining experience that comes with the live lobster, crab and shrimps. read more

Christmas day there was barely any food. Sushi came out real slow since the 3 workers felt people would leave when they see an empty counter. They were cutting 5 pieces at a time while we all waited. Crab legs weren't fresh. People were fighting for the scraps of abalone that were slowly coming out. There was lobster at least. But only lobster and cheap items like szechuan chicken, hot pot beef, and roast duck. This buffet is $90 after tax and tip for dinner. The Buffet in Collegepoint is $50 and they handle holidays well.
