I admit that the reason I chose this restaurant for our lunch was because of the name. We were seated by the window which felt like we were in a Steampunk conservatory. If you are a fan of the subgenre, then you know what I mean. We started with the gorgonzola garglic bread. The bread was warm when brought to the table and was perfect on it's own because we discovered we weren't a fan of the gorgonzola cheese. I ordered the lobster roll and this was the first time I've had one in a very long time. I absolutely loved it. So much lobster! It was perfection!

We went as a large group and had amazing service. Beer, bourbon, wings and several other dishes hit the spot. If I were local I'd be a regular. Stop by!

I had lunch here about 10 years ago and finally made it back recently. Asparagus was all over the menu since it's in season, so the asparagus, grilled cheese and asparagus salad just HAD to be ordered. Everything was served quickly. Fresh ingredients; delicious results. Service was awesome and the spacious yet still pub-like interior was welcoming and cozy. I'll definitely be back.

An awesome place to host a group dinner! My friend's rehearsal dinner was hosted here (Nov 2023) and we were impressed with the food & service. We had a large party seated upstairs at a very long table. Almost everyone fit! They were super accommodating and let us squeeze my husband in with an extra chair when he arrived from Boston. Food: Apps - Chicken tenders and garlic bread. Excellent and the garlic bread came with a creamy sauce which was delicious. Entrees: Short rib - The portion was enormous!! Cooked perfectly and I attempted to eat every bite. I didn't have the Cobb salad but it looked amazing and a lot of people ordered it. Dessert: Brownie Sundae- I "shared" this aka ate an entire one because who doesn't like brownies and ice cream. I couldn't say better things about the service. The waitresses were extremely nice and ran around and took all our drink/food orders with ease. Ryan, the manager, worked directly with my friend to arrange the dinner and make sure everything ran smoothly. She was super happy and the dinner was very fairly priced for such a large party as well!

Fitzwilly's is a Northampton institution with a hip vibe and delicious American food that first opened in October 1974. I like to go there for dinner with friends and family whenever I'm in town for a concert or a show at one of the entertainment venues. Their extensive menu has something for everybody on it, at an affordable price. The staff is friendly and very efficient. I'm looking to my next meal there.

Extremely slow service (not overly busy at 2 in the afternoon) and below average food. Definitely skip this place.

The staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. The menu highlights locally sourced ingredients and seasonal flavors, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Whether you're ordering seafood, steak, or one of their creative vegetarian options, the flavors are balanced and satisfying. The cocktail list is equally impressive, with well-crafted drinks that complement the menu nicely. What really sets Homestead apart is its consistency and attention to detail -- from the quality of the ingredients to the comfortable ambiance and polished service. It's the kind of place that feels special without feeling pretentious. While our table was being set up outside, we enjoyed a drink at the bar--the 15-minute wait was absolutely worth it. The outdoor setting was beautiful, with greenery creating a relaxed summer vibe and live music playing under a small tent, adding to the atmosphere. Our server was equally delightful--friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. Now, the food: outstanding. We started with the beets and peas salad, which was bursting with flavor--our plates were practically licked clean. The house arugula salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced with a light, lemony vinaigrette. For mains, we shared the roasted half chicken and the bucatini. Both were phenomenal. I rarely order chicken at restaurants since it often feels too plain, but this one was perfection--crispy skin, juicy meat, and seasoning that carried through every bite. The bucatini, made with homemade pasta and loaded with crispy pancetta, was absolutely irresistible. We couldn't resist finishing with the "Little Mason Jar" dessert, which was indulgent and delicious. Everything--from the service to the food to the ambiance--was exceptional. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to the area

And though I can't guarantee that the town was so vibrantly and unapologetically queer nearly 30 years ago when our paths diverged, I can say that in 2025 it was completely my vibe. Though lesbianest - it def was. After Dinosaur Footprints, my trio needed to grab some lunch. They spoke highly of Local Bar and what a delicious choice it was. They have a nice lineup of preconfigured burgers - the teriyaki seems to be a local favorite - or you can build your own. The best is that you can have a beef, turkey, or veggie burger with any style. Unfamiliar meat sometimes sends me running to the baño and I still had a 3 hr drive up to NH. So I opted for the Farmhouse style burger with a veggie patty. It came with cheddar cheese, bacon, and our house maple mayo. I told you maple is my fave flavor. Excellent decision - the server even complimented my choice lol. The veggie patty was homemade with mushrooms and other grains - texture was elite and the umami was palpable throughout. It also didn't fall apart in my hands as other veggie patties are prone to do. I also got an order of fries but this is completely a place where you could get a burger and skip the sides and be satisfied. My dining companions were more in the know in this area so we shared the fries. Free refills too which thrilled me to no end as I strongly dislike nickel and diming on drinks. Parking can be a challenge in this town - but since it's Pride Month the rainbow gods were shining on us and we found 2 spots right next to each other just around the corner from the spot. Great food, stellar service, clean dining area, central location, something for vegans and meat eaters alike. Can't go wrong with this one!

The beer selection is the best I've ever seen in terms of quality breweries. Hill Farmstead is on the menu today (four different ones!) and there are so many others! The wine selection is ok.
