First of all, when we got there a little after 8 pm on a Friday, the place was jam-packed. Since the weather was nice, we opted for the less crowded upstairs outside the seating area. We ordered the following: Calamari - 9 out of 10 NY style Meatlovers pizza - 8 out of 10 Blue Hawaiian drink - 5 out of 10 Sweet tea We enjoyed our visit, but keep in mind that if they're busy downstairs, you may have to wait a little while for the waitress. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, service is good and the food is mediocre. I didn't try their pizza this time around, but I'd probably come back just to try that. It seems like pizza might be the best option to get here, as a lot of people were ordering pizza. I've come to the bar here several times after dinner hours for drinks with family and friends. It's always a vibe. Good drinks, great music and a place that locals seem to love on the weekend. So I definitely recommend coming here for that (plus a dance floor inside and pool table outside if you're into that). This particular night I came in for dinner with the fam, and the food just didn't hit the spot. It was pretty busy with people enjoying dinner and watching the football game (plenty of TV screens here). I noticed a lot of people ordered pizza, which I probably should have followed. Instead, I ordered the tortellini pasta and added shrimp. It came with a side salad which was probably the only fresh thing I had. The garlic bread it came with didn't have enough butter nor garlic on it. The pasta was a standard store-bought pasta that didn't have much filling. Although the sauce tasted good, I could have used more of it on my plate. And the shrimp wasn't fresh (I could tell it was from a frozen package). I mean it's partly my fault for ordering this at a pizza joint. I also tasted a bite of everyone else's dishes and everything was just mediocre. The Caribbean flatbread my sister ordered didn't really have a Caribbean taste in my opinion; it just tasted like a bunch of cheese and chicken. My mom's lemon pepper wings were cooked perfectly, but could have used more lemon pepper flavor. The ranch sauce was so bland. My brother seemed to enjoy his chicken wrap though, so that's a plus. I tried one of his onion rings and that was probably the best thing on the table. Overall, I rate the food 3-stars. The friendly service and lively family atmosphere made the experience better. I appreciated seeing the owner zip around delivering food along with the servers. I hope to come back and update my review to a better rating after trying something else on the menu. read more

The service was good but the food was just mediocre. There were a lot of items to choose from ranging from eggplant parmigiana to burgers to nachos. It was almost as if the place struggled with identity crisis - am I a sports bar. a pub, or an Italian restaurant? Most times best to stick to one theme. We got the eggplant parmigiana with garlic bread and the burger with fries. The eggplant was ok and the sauce was decent, but the garlic bread had a tiny bit of butter (most likely oil or margarine) and on the slightest bit of garlic aroma. The burger was definitely not hand patted and most likely was frozen when delivered to the restaurant. They did have a pretty decent salad bar which is rarely seen in this post Covid dining scene. The food at OPS is fine. As a sports bar it delivers with many large tvs and a menu that makes sense. The 3 star rating is simple. While dining under a very loud speaker--there were other seats, but I settled in and decided not to move. Their menu has an impressive assortment of pizza types (gluten free, New York style thin crust, cauliflower, etc.), and they have a wide variety of standard pizzas, as well as many ingredients to choose from if you build your own (which we did). As promising as the menu is, the pizza was disappointing. While the crust was good, the pizza basics (before you add the mushrooms, black olives etc.) are where they fell short. The balance was wrong -- far too little tomato sauce, and too much cheese. And it wasn't great cheese either, so quality was an issue too. The result was a pizza that was overly greasy and lacking in flavor. It could so easily have been better, so much better ... but without a good base, adding a variety of interesting toppings (the menu features kalamata olives, pepperoncinis, herbs, mushrooms, spinach, chicken, broccoli, etc.) just won't cut it -- because the pizza is dominated by the basics, the underlying crust, tomato sauce, herbs and cheese - and they didn't measure up. What a great experience! A large group of friends, 25 to 30 of us arrived approximately 7:30 pm on Saturday night. We had given them a heads up hours earlier in the afternoon before our arrival. They already had a decent crowd upon our arrival. I'mThe staff could not have been anymore friendly, efficient, and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure our party was well taken care of, considering the large size. It was all hands on deck. We probably met the entire staff, helping to get drinks, appetizers, dinners, etc. to a hungry, thirsty group. No one in our party was disappointed. Had a party on a Sunday for a 10u girls basketball team. Called and talked to manager on Tuesday, was told we would be able to watch a game and get the audio for it. Called back on Thursday to verify we would be able to watch the game and get audio, was told that we would and that because it was during March Madness we definitely would. Showed up on Sunday, was originally told we wouldn't have the audio at all, then after I complained got told we could. So we all order, and then the manager and the server show up after the game was already on that we would have to turn off the audio because there was a birthday party coming in and that it would disturb them. If we were told prior to the game starting we could have figured something else out. On top of all this, service was terrible. Don't have a party here, drive to Yulee or somewhere else. Ops, Kingsland, is representative of a typical local pizza place. Usually very crowded (good business = good food). As you would expect, usually loud. Always a good buzz. Food never disappoints for sure. Always good. Service is, at time, hit-or-miss. There are a few great waiters, and like anywhere else, a few that don't want to be bothered by you but want your tip (haha) - I believe "I had to earn it, and if you want it, you should earn it too." This was one of the restaurants the front desk employees recommended for delivery when we stopped in Kingsland while road tripping from NY to FL. They even had a couple of coupons to use, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered the fried pickles, the stuffed shells, and their buffalo wrap. My shells were delicious, filled well, and portion size was average (four shells). My sauce was a little metallic-y though, perhaps from the container it was delivered in but who knows. It came with a side salad that was very disappointing: lettuce, a half slice of tomato, and your choice of dressing. I opted for bleu cheese and it was much more watery than expected. My fried pickles had the potential to be good, but the container they were delivered in trapped the steam inside & so they lost their crispness you expect with something fried. Flavor was there, but I couldn't get past the sogginess to eat more than two. My mom enjoyed her buffalo wrap, but it wasn't cut so it was almost more like eating a burrito with the way the wrap was bundled. They did deliver right to our hotel, but despite us giving them our room number when they asked while placing our order, they did not deliver to the room. We received a call from the front desk and had to go down and pick it up. Not the end of the world, but by asking for a room number we had assumed it'd be delivered right to the room. However it was still within the delivery time frame they gave us, so their delivery service is great. read more

My husband and I were on the road for about 2.5 hours and decided to locate someplace for a light lunch. We exited the highway to find a number chains. We searched Yelp a bit and circled the area until we settled upon Ops. Neither of us wanted a "chain" meal. We've been on the road so long over the last couple of months. I ordered a Long Island iced tea and my husband, a water. If you like Long Island iced tea, get one here, very good! I was in Florida, off and on, for about 8 months and could not locate a good Long Island. I know this is Georgia, but it's the 1st one I've had in a southern state that was near perfect. We then ordered, garlic bread, Buffalo wings and a salad. We split these three items. The garlic bread arrived first; it was good, although I prefer more garlic flavor. It came with a side of sauce for dipping. The sauce was good as well, not too sweet and not too acidic. Then came the house salad followed by the buffalo wings. The salad was a basic tossed salad with black olives and mozzarella cheese. I selected blue cheese dressing for the salad dressing. The salad was fresh. The dressing, I wasn't fond of as it was on the sweet side. To me, blue cheese dressing should not be sweet. The wings were ok. Temperature wise they were hot, spice-wise, not so much. They definitely required more buffalo sauce. The waitress kindly brought us extra buffalo sauce. I had already selected blue cheese dressing for dipping...see above for my opinion of the blue cheese dressing. All in all, it was a good stop. Kind of a bar vibe when you walk in and the food taste like that. The eggplant was super greasy and mushy with no crunch or texture. The garlic bread was a large French loaf needing additional seasoning. My husband had the moody blues burger. He felt the bun was basic, the blue cheese more of a cheese spread rather than crumbles, and the actual patty needed more seasoning. The balsamic salad dressing was good but apparently not homemade. The pasta/marinara was good but basic. Probably should have picked a pizza but the waitress said the burgers and pasta we're really popular.
