    Shrimp protein bowl

Great first visit to Five Four! We came to visit on a Thursday lunch, and everything was top notch. Plenty of parking, didn't have to wait for a table, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Menu is extensive, with plenty of options for both food/drinks! Calamari was a great starter, and the protein bowl (with blackened seasoning) was definitely something I'd order again. Extra shoutout to whatever playlist they're using (mix of Steely Dan, Eagles, and recent R&B). Look forward to trying out other items on the menu and visiting during happy hour.

First off I will say Five Four, which is NOT affiliated with the restaurant 54th Street, has so many gems on the menu! We dined-in for lunch mid week, restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating I understand they're still a fairly new restaurant with other locations in Missouri and now Texas. Upon arrival we were sat right away. The restaurant is nicely decorated, comfy seating, service is attentive and knowledgeable. I really want to give recognition to the kitchen and menu. Food made from scratch and expertly crafted cocktails made for a wonderful afternoon. Star of the show was the Key Lime Pie was so flavorful with fresh rich zest! We will surely be back!

Walking in cold off the street and I asked if we could have a table for four and a high chair and they offered us hightop seating, and I said we'll take it. There was a lot of room in that section and we were fine with our high chair. We ordered bread and calamari for starters. I loved how they served the butter with a sprinkle of kosher salt. The calamari was tasty and decorated with sweet & mildly hot peppers. It was very good with the marinara on the side. For main courses we had the fish tacos with a loaded baked potato (huge portions & very good); also I ordered an 8 oz. Filet minion med rare and sweet potato fries - excellent; Chicken Madeira was pan fried chicken on mashed potatoes, asparagus, melted Monterey Jack cheese and gravy. It was delicious! We had GREAT service and the restaurant was spacious and very vibrant. The people who worked there were hospitable and very welcoming. It was an excellent choice for dinner and we enjoyed the evening affair!

Food was so good. Atmosphere nice but a little dark lighting for My taste... and service was great!

This was a win for my crew. Our server (Alex) was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. She was quick and efficient with service. I was excited to see strawberries for the kiddos on the menu ( my son is a strawberry fien!). Everything from Start to finish was fresh and tasty, loved the gringo dip. It was like queso meet spinach dip. Salsa is like a pepper salsa not standard tomato salsa. Hubby and I split the ribs and chicken tenders with Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. We shared with the son but they have a great kids menu selection also. I signed up for the rewards app and you can earn $5 after just four visits. We will definitely be back!

I was pleasantly surprised with Five Four restaurant in the South Park Meadows shopping area. We visited for happy hour on a Tuesday (HH ends at 6). You can sit in the main restaurant or the bar area and still get HH. They have some big screen TVs in the bar area that would be great for a game day. I was really impressed with their frozen strawberry margarita it was strong and delicious! Their Long Island iced tea was surprisingly good too, and their drink prices couldn't be beat. You receive discounted HH food items if you spend at least $3 on drinks per food item, which is easily attained. We ordered the double Smashburger and the stuffed portobello mushrooms and I would absolutely order both again. It was perfect to split between the two of us and we left happy campers.

Had an excellent experience here. The ribeye was delicious and reasonably priced. I went with the salad and Brussels sprouts as sides--both were great choices. My server Chance struck the perfect balance with his service: attentive without being overbearing. Well done!

Went to watch the football game on a Sunday morning. Brice was a great bartender and who welcomes us right away! We enjoyed the abundance of tap options and my husband and I shared the Tequila Wrappers from the Munchie menu! They were delicious and a great amount to share! I love extra crunch so may order them crispy next time to step it up but they were definitely not not crispy. I definitely want to go back and try more food! They have an amazing Happy Hour menu and Dinner For Two deals! Parking: They have a good sized parking lot with accessibility. Bathrooms: Beautiful! They paid attention to the details when designing the whole establishment and did not leave out the restrooms! Overall Feel: Clean, comfortable and options for any occasion from sitting at the bar to watch sports or having a nice meal with friends or family!

    Prime Rib French Dip

First and foremost, the Prime Rib French Dip sandwich was out of this world!!! I could drink the sauce it was that good. The avocado burger was great too - I appreciated how much avocado they actually put on the burger. The painkiller was great and I loved the champagne margarita. Full disclosure, I'm a big fan of champagne so I loved how light and refreshing it was, but my boyfriend (who is indifferent on champagne) said it tasted like a "sparkling margarita" so if you like champagne, you'll most likely dig the combo. Staff was really nice too! Looking forward to coming back for a reverse happy hour one day! (9-11 PM everyday)

    Country Fried steak

The service was very good. Attentive. Orders were correct. Couldn't have been better. The food was good. Country fried steak was tasty and correct temperature. Mashed potatoes and onion rings were tasty but not hot. The biscuit was not hot, and was a bit stodgy (it was the only thing I did not eat) I don't recommend the fried cheese appetizer. Portion was quite small. Soft drinks, 2 apps, and meal for 6 was $200 with tip.

We finally made it in after work around 9:30 PM, thinking they closed at 11. Even though they were closing in a hour, we were served quickly and received excellent service throughout our visit. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, chili oil wontons, hot & spicy spare ribs, spicy beef udon, and Yangzhou fried rice. I nearly levitated while eating!!!! everything was incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. The pork soup dumplings were probably my least favorite dish. I wish they had been served a little warmer and had a bit more flavor. The chili oil wontons were slightly sweeter than I expected, but they were phenomenal nonetheless. Their chili oil is AMAZING! We ordered the hot & spicy spare ribs at spice level 3, and they were absolutely delicious, so tender and full of flavor. The spicy beef udon and Yangzhou fried rice were also so so good. This place will definitely become one of my go-to spots. Everything was flavorful, the service was great, and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Beware everything is served very hot. Soup: lots of stuff in it but not hot or sour. Cucumber salad: good flavor, cut too thick, not smashed sufficiently. Beef and green onion dumplings: 5 star. Delicious. Best thing we had. Pork shumai: bland but ok dipped in sauce. 4/5 Chicken soup dumplings: very easy to break and lose all the soup. Overcooked wrapping. Tasty but bland. 4/5.

But I enjoy new experiences and menus with eclectic dishes. The menu had few choices for breakfast and I was unsure why it was suggested as a breakfast place. It's actually a good place to eat any time of day! The beautifully decorated patio provided the perfect welcome into their modestly decorated air conditioned restaurant and bar. When I say bar, it's more like a 1950s bar that you can sit at and have a meal at. Although drinks and meals were offered any time of day! The waitress was pleasant and helpful in suggesting add ons with my meal. But being a purist, I wanted to try it as intended. The food arrived in the normal amount of time. When I first saw my mozzarella omelette I was a little surprised! It didn't look anything like what it was described as! Oh well! I thought. Let's give it a try! My taste buds were happily amazed! Could this omelette smothered in mushroom gravy, green "pesto" and bread crumbs be the best omelette I've ever had?! The mushroom tomato gravy was so smooth! Along with the cilantro avocado topping. That tasted more like pesto, gave it the perfect zing! I had wished I the had ordered some toast to dip in the sauce. I could have done without the bread crumbs. But they were easily swept to the side. The amount of mozzarella cheese in this omelette led me to believe it was more of an omelette lasagna than a plain old omelette. This place is definitely a must if you are visiting Austin!

The brisket benny was very disappointing. The hash brown casserole was terrible. It had zero flavor. It was a ball of mush. The brisket was good! It carried the plate. Nevertheless, because the cornbread muffins and brisket were good, I would certainly go back! With a point system to accrue benefits over time, and at each visit, and impressive happy hour specials for both food and drinks, it's hard not to visit more than once. Every member of service either greeted us, or supported our needs with a smile. Calvin, especially, made sure every step of our experience from walking in through ordering was special. While we didn't indulge in the beverages, we enjoyed the $10 burger special which also came with fries! We paired this with a side of a $6 Caesar Salad (really tasty and thrown together with thinly sliced cabbage, roasted chickpeas, and popcorn chicken). Next time, I'd really love to try the truffle mac and cheese (which was also on HH). We weren't aware of the upcharge for swapping out the slice of American for Cheddar (+$1.50), which would've been nice to know ahead of time, since we both got burgers and wondered about the swap...but lesson learned. Also, BIG lesson learned...the parking validation is for only two hours! We were having such a lovely time at Dish Society, but exceeded the 2 hrs (by an extra hour) and got charged a significant amount for parking. Next time, we will certainly park on the street. We tried reasoning with the parking attendant and they wanted no business in understanding we were patrons of the restaurant. It was certainly an unexpected shock, and didn't leave the best final touch of our evening (specifically in that parking garage). It's unfortunate that we got penalized for enjoying our time at dinner.

Let me get right to it. Everything I ate was A++. The five of us shared a pancake, which was extremely fluffy and tasty, with melted butter. Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar featuring grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces, sides, and a bar that boasts craft beer, boozy slushees, and batch cocktails. Parking at this location is a bit of a challenge. They have overflow parking in the back but the spots are really small. We sat at the bar area and worked our way through cocktails, apps, and dessert. We opened a tab and the bar staff takes your order which is convenient, versus how you normally have to order by waiting in line at the bar. The bar staff was extremely busy because they have to make all the cocktails and take the line orders at the bar. They are a master of multitasking. It was $3 martini night on Tuesday, so was excited to sample the four different drink options. lychee martini, Mexican martini, and Lucky Cat cosmo martini. Lychee martini is made with new amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower, Mexican martini with espolon blanco, olive, yuzu, lime and cosmo with vodka, blood orange, naranja, lime. The lychee was hands down my favorite of the three. We started with the Dip Sampler that included a trifecta of smoked shishito queso, smoked salmon dip and Thai green salsa with the Siete blue corn tortilla chips. We went through the chips quickly and got a second round of wonton chips which I preferred to the Siete chips. Tried the Mango Chamoy frozen Slushee with Siete Chamoy Botana Sauce & Siete Chile Lime Seasoning Rim, passionfruit, Aperol, Sake and Sparkling Wine which was refreshing. All their boozy slushies are $5 during happy hour. Ordered the oak grilled edamame from the happy hour menu and it was a flavor explosion with a dusting of serracha powder, lemon zest and white sesame. For dinner, I ordered my go-to rice bowl with coconut-scented rice, seasonal pickles, thai herbs and steak as the protein. They normally served this with Bavette, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy this time. Finished everything off with cheesecake with five spice crumble, yuzu marmalade for dessert. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and lively without feeling overwhelming, and the collab menu felt creative without trying too hard. The ingredients are very thoughtful for a fully developed flavor profile. Just what I would expect from the culinary minds of Tyson Cole and Aaron Franklin.
