Yummy & the burgers are good too! Cheeseburger Onions* Lettuce Pickles Tomatoes

Great burgers & the Cajun fries have some zip to them. There's a wide selection of free toppings that you can add to your burgers or hotdogs. They also offer grilled cheese sandwiches for the littles. The peanuts in the shell is a tribute to our Southern roots and the kids love them. The only set back is that it is rather pricey. You do pay for a good quality burger, fresh cut fries, & this isn't a fast food place (even though they do a great job getting the food out quickly). I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality quick lunch or a date night especially with a group of friends. Just make sure you bring your appetite!

Everyone that works there is so nice!! Food taste so fresh and has such great taste! They are a bit pricey for a burger but it's so worth it! Great burger place for sure. So many condiments make for a great was to individualize your own burger. Their Fries are awesome when you add the vinegar they have available for you to enjoy. They even have free peanuts for you to snack on while you wait for your meal!! Awesome environment to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

    One tasty burger

Way, way, way, way, way overpriced for a smushed up burger in tinfoil. Fries, however, are excellent and are a meal in themselves.

No complaints. Favorite place for quick burgers and fries. Always plenty of room and not too loud. Everyone is friendly.

I opted for their regular Grindhouse burger that had caramelized onions mixed in with the double patties and cheese. It was sloppy, but delicious. Their crinkle fries come out crispy as well, no soggies! Got a side of cheese sauce for dipping and it had a little kick that I liked. The interior is small so seating is limited.

Great service even for takeout. Lady was upset sweet and gave us suggestions also didn't rush us. Cute and casual vibe. Mocha milkshake - 8/10 a little too sweet for me and wished it was more coffee flavor but solid Frings- I wish they gave us more it was just a couple of each but sweet potato fries were 10/10 AMAZING. O-rings were a lil under seasoned but 7/10 Cheesy puffs- very interesting texture. Wish it was a bit spicier but have t had something like this. Would have also appreciated more crunch. Great with chipotle ranch. LOVE 9/10 Turkey burger lettuce wrapped - this was so funny! I go pretty much a whole half head of lettuce. Great flavor even without the cheese. 8/10 Brussel sprouts - good flavor but a little burnt. Love the glaze a bit greasy tho 8/10

Casual, friendly place for a variety of burgers and chicken sandwiches…read more Food : Food is good. We tried the traditional groove burger and a lamb burger. Both were very good with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The fried okra is whole -not sliced like most recipes, and it was done in a tasty batter that was not too heavy . There is a bar but we didn't try the drinks, so I can't comment on them. Service : Service is excellent. Our waitress, Sawyer, was very helpful, pleasant, and attentive. The manager checks on customers and makes sure everything is working well. Location : Very convenient location among other restaurants and a variety of stores in the busiest shopping area in Athens-near the exits from highways and the perimeter loops. Facility: Clean, cheerful, and tables are not crowded together. Multiple TVs for a variety of interests. There is lots of free parking in this strip mall. There are outdoor tables for good weather days. There was not loud music like we have endured in several other burger locations. We could have a conversation easily on this restaurant. We will be happy to return in the future. .

We ordered the jalapeno fries, a steak sandwich with fries and a Groove burger. The jalapeno fries were good. A different take on a"popper" but tasty. The steak sandwich was very flavorful and full or sirloin. Hogie roll was as perfect. The groove burger was good. The bacon and cheddar had the most flavor profile so everything else took a backseat to it. I expected more from the name sake burger. Overall, it was a good stop. We'd order the steak sandwich again for sure but try others things for the remainder.

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious this place has built a loyal following. The setup is simple: place your order, grab a seat, and enjoy. What made me laugh was that many of the "tables" are surrounded by lawn chairs. It's not what I expected, but somehow it fits the laid-back personality of the place perfectly. There are a few traditional tables available, but the lawn-chair seating adds to the charm. I ordered the "My Pleasure" biscuit, which comes with fried chicken, egg, and cheese. The chicken was flavorful, and the sandwich was very tasty overall. The chicken was a little dry when combined with the biscuit, but not enough to keep me from enjoying it. It was still a satisfying breakfast and easy to see why it's a popular menu item. If you're looking for a quick, casual, and uniquely Athens breakfast experience, Cafe Racer is worth a stop. Good food, reasonable prices, and enough personality to make the meal memorable.

About $5 per order, comes with an assortment of flavors. The texture was spongy with a little bounce in every bite. Not too sweet, but perfectly sweet enough. I also ordered a tater boi biscuit sandwich, which I was a little hesitant about because I don't like when biscuits are dry and stick to the roof of my mouth. This was definitely not that!! The biscuit had a good crunch on the outside and was moist on the inside. The jalapeño cream cheese added a nice contrasting texture and flavor. Stacked with the breakfast essentials of hash brown, egg, and cheese. What more could you ask for?
