This was my first time at this five guys location, and it was absolutely incredible. I asked for the cashiers name because she was amazing and so helpful. If you ever get service from Sarah, you are in for a treat! She had amazing energy and had greeted me with a beautiful smile. I felt so welcomed walking in. I was a little confused before ordering because of the menu but almost telepathically she seemed to be able to sense my dilemma. She recommended the classic combo and I quickly agreed. It was the perfect choice for what I was craving. She walked me through everything and then she gave me milkshake recommendations. She was very patient as I was trying to determine what I wanted and she actually was the person who ended up making my milkshake. Best milkshake of my life. She felt like an angel had stepped foot into this establishment. She made my milkshake perfectly and it was definitely the highlight of my visit. 3.5 stars but I can't bring myself to round to it 4 stars. This particular location is wonderful. It's spacious, clean, friendly, and there's plenty of parking. My husband LOVES 5 guys but I don't see the hype. I do think the fried and burgers are tasty but it's so expensive! We spent over 40 dollars for 2 drinks, large fries, a bacon cheeseburger and a little cheeseburger. I like how there's tons of toppings to choose from. I like adding hot sauce to my burger, that's pretty unique. I like the free peanuts. I like the customizable soda machine. It just pains me to give 5 guys any higher than a 3. They're reliable tho! No issues with the food. Please purchase actual "Table Reserved" table signs. The red boxes for catering order were used to reserve a table for a birthday party. I do not frequently dine there so I wouldnt know if that was their process. Halfway through our meal we were asked to move to another table at the exact moment the birthday party arrived. Cheeseburger- Yes the price is expensive but its better to compare it to a burger restaurant and not fast food. Cause the burger tastes awesome. Buns were a lil floppy, less substance to them, but the patty was deliciously high quality, the whole burger was a big size but just big enough where you dont have to dislocate your jaw to bite. I got "all the way" (which is all the ingredients, pickle mayo mustard mushrooms etc, and no extra cost), and burger was saucy and delicious, surprised they even got mushrooms! I'd say the burger is worth the price. Regular fries- When I got the bag, it was very satisfyingly full, mostly because the regular fries filled up like 90% of the bag, awesome. Fries are a nice length and good slight chewy texture to it, fun to bite. Got so full and still have a full cup of fries and more left Extra I forgot they just got free peanuts too! In the middle of the restaurant and just get however many you want self serve. Bathroom is clean, paper dispenser in there looks pretty kitchen is super stripped down and theres this one guy I think the chef who sounds like he really got the whole kitchen down, very efficient. I went in last week and told the young female at the register my order, before all that I was asking her if she had certain items on the menu and she had a nasty attitude and told me no. So I continue to look at the menu and finally order a few meals for me and my kids. So when I was done ordering I told her to go over my order so I know she got it right. She went over it and made a few mistakes so I correct her and told her what to put in and take out. By this time she was huffing and puffing and was rushing me even tho there was nobody behind me. SOOO CLEAN! And the people working are very organized and friendly. Awesome customer service! I was quickly greeted and got my neatly bagged order. So, after listening to ESPN Super Bowl week panelists rave about Five Guys as the best burger, we had to give it a try. This was a first time visit and I was ordering "to go" for myself and my wife. First thing out of the chute. This is NOT a great place for people with peanut allergies (my wife has these). There are shelled peanuts to eat, fries cooked in peanut oil. So that's a biggie. They do have a notice on the door but it's pretty small - I don't blame them for not firing "a flare" on this point but it's pretty important. Second, the menu - it literally IS burgers and fries. That's okay but I'm not sure competitive in today's market. We didn't try the milkshakes but I've heard good things about them. Third, service - this was a high point. Simple but responsive. That was great! Last, the burgers (I was able to also try out the fries). The burger definitely goes "char centric" with the cook. It was...just okay. The fries don't seem to hold well after a 15 min drive home - pretty floppy but they are well seasoned. So, if you don't mind peanuts and want a straight forward burger/fries experience - this might work for you. I'd strongly recommend eating in vs. "to go" or delivery. Five guys is always a pretty good choice for fresh burger. I always enjoy the bottomless salted peanuts that you can enjoy as an appetizer. I always forget that the regular patty idea the double and that I need to get the little version. Oh well more meats for me! There was a lot of condiments that you can add to it like grilled onions and all the burger fixings. I wish they would have meal options, but all the food a separated out so you'll have to buy drinks and sides separately. It was our first time at five guys. Having heard the name, but not knowing how famous it was in all different cities until seeing all their self promoting posters they put up on the walls. Not sure what all the hype was, but it was next to the movie theater that we were going to so we decided to stop by and have a burger and share some fries. Inside was brightly lit and clean, but lots of shouting from the workers in the kitchen, which we found out later that its signature to the chain. Listen carefully for them to shout out your number from the receipt. We also found out that you are supposed to get peanuts while waiting for your food. We did not get any and when I looked it up, it turns out that they still do it but you have to special request as it's not out for everybody anymore. We were also naïve the fact that the regular hamburger comes with two patties. Unlike the whopper versus the whopper, junior, the little burgers are actually regular burgers. We regretted ordering their regulars as two is one too many patties. The french fries were good, still with skin. There is a condiment station where you can pump your own ketchup, or there are ketchup packets. Unisex restrooms towards the back. Plenty of free parking as it is a huge strip mall. read more

I tried a cheeseburger from this place many years ago when they first opened but I was terrible impressed. Some friends that are avid Five Guy fans talked me into trying it again. They said it was made using the 'smash burger technique.' I'm familiar with Smash Burger and I like 'em so I went in with an open mind. Here are my impressions. PROS: The crew really hustles and my order came out fairly quickly. I loved the "help yourself" free big box of roasted peanuts in the shell. I asked for "everything on it" so it was big and juicy. The bun did well in supporting the big load placed on it. Flavor was just OK. Love the 'many choices Coka-Cola Freestyle soft drink dispenser machines. There are two units and each machine can mix a humongous variety of flavors but they're all Coca-Cola products. I'm guessing there are over 60+ combinations you can make. The place is bright, clean and seems well maintained. Parking is super easy in the huge shared parking lot. Staff was pretty easy going and seemed happy. Foil wrapper for burger eliminates PFAS, harmful chemicals used in many food wrappers. It will also act as an insulator to keep your burger hot longer. CONS: This does not have the exterior crust that Smash Burger is known for. It was hard for me to tell that it was done the 'smashed down hard on a really hot grill with butter.' And there was no seared crust on the exterior of the beef patties. Bummers! The drink prices are higher than most fast food places. The fountain drinks were $3+ for small size. Even bottled water was $2.79. Bottom Line: Not a bad fast food burger but I was expecting the Smash Burger style of meat patties. I was really lookin for that wonderful, tasty crust on the meat exterior. I'm a bit more generous with the rating because of the free peanuts and the Coca-Cola Freestyle's ability to produce a huge varieties of mixed flavors. We were helping a friend move and on our way to Santa Cruz, when we spotted a large shopping center off the freeway. Five Guys drew our attention as the perfect place to eat lunch. We located a place to park our moving van just across the street in an empty parking lot where several businesses had closed. It was sad to see this, but grateful for the convenient parking space. Five Guys was pretty busy with customers, but we only had a short wait in line. I ordered the Cheese Veggie Sandwich & Root Beer. I really enjoyed the sautéed mixture of green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions & grilled mushrooms covered in melted cheese. It was a bit messy to eat, but very tasty, even though my photo and it's presentation didn't do it justice! Joe K got a hamburger with everything on it, and order of regular size Cajun fries to share, & orange drink. Our friend just had a large soda, but ate some of the fries. We couldn't believe the generous amount of fries we were given for a regular! It originally was served in a cup, but when we looked in the bag, there was practically another serving still at the bottom! Driving by the area, I took the opportunity to meet a friend for a quick bite. Located in a mall area, there's basically, unlimited parking for this chain burger joint. So I've tried this chain before in a couple different locations. For the life of me, I can't understand how these guys survive. I've never seen a crowded facility...not even close. Tax write off, money laundering...who knows what the real business is. Their burgers are burgers, their fries or fries, and their drinks or drinks. There is absolutely nothing special about their burgers. They are average tasting, average size, and average quality. But the one thing they are not, is reasonably priced. Even before the pandemic happened, prices here are high! Out the door my cheeseburger, small fries, and regular soda was over $20! That is ridiculous. Best place in town for giant and delicious hamburgers and fries. Surprisingly, the lines here have been short the few times we've visited. Parking is always easy and convenient. They have both high top tables and standard table seating. The room is spacious and comfortable. Waitstaff are efficient, but don't help you navigate around the menu. They'll assume you want "the works" unless you clearly state otherwise. Prices seem high but you get a lot for the money. Hubby and I figured out that we can order a Little Cheeseburger Meal (w/drink and small fries), split it in half and still have leftover fries.
