I have my co workers hooked on Five Guys. It's our Thursday lunch burger treat after a long week and a nice break from the weekly salads. Its a good homestyle burger and not a frozen patty. I love the fries and they give you a lot. They are pretty consistent and in my budget. When I bring back the burgers to the office, the food its still relatively warm. It's because the bags are thicker to lock in the heat and the burger is wrapped in foil paper. No long lines and the service is pretty fast if you have a hour for lunch. The fun part is the peanuts that you can eat while you wait. I ask for a extra bag so I can grab a heap of them for my coworkers so we can enjoy a snack later at our desk while working. Tons of options for toppings and sauces. Pretty tasty package if you put it together correctly; the fate of your burger is all in your hands, but a good package in the end nonetheless. Suggest asking them to go light on whatever sauces you add so it doesn't get too messy Seasoned Fries - pretty good, also better than In n Out most of the time Complimentary Peanuts - they're peanuts. These also make a mess but that's part of the fun. It's a fast food burger place with more options. Simple. I been wanting to try this place since everyone was talking about Five Guys best In & Out. We checked out waiting time from Google and El Segundo had less waiting to be served. We ordered Double cheese burgers with large fries. I request all the toppings as much as they can add since I was curious how it's going to taste. We finally got our orders and was shocked that their lg fries were HUGE portion. I had my first bite on their double burger and it was DELICIOUS! The bread was pretty thin and it made their meat taste super rich and juicy. The toppings that I had was stuffed to cater my liking. The fries were super crispy outside and moist inside. Okay, Five Guys got me here but I don't think it's fair to be compared to In&Out since In&out should be compare to similar cost fast food joint. The food here cost lot higher than In&Out and it's not fair to be compared to Five Guys Hamburger. The staffs here is super friendly and clean! Free peanuts were nice touch for customers. So I decided to give five guys a chance after avoiding it for its high prices and I ended up paying the price. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and honestly the fries are the only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1. The burger was messy and falling apart after the first bite, tasting more like a mush of burger rather than tasting the different layers the burger had to offer. Didn't even finish it fully due to feeling a little sick. Wanted my 17$ back. Don't bother, it's worth it to find the closest In N Out where their burgers actually stay together and you can taste each indIvidual ingredient in the burger. read more

My first Five Guys experience was a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint. I love the grilled taste of their burgers and their fries are awesome. Not to make any enemies, but I liked it a bit more than In n Out. Perhaps not as iconic, but you won't leave here disappointed. I'll also get a large order of Cajun Style fries to split. The large order of fries ostensibly comes in a large paper drink cup, but they actually give you almost twice that amount of fries and it just overflows into the brown paper sack. I'll just fold down the sides of the sack and eat the fries right out of the bag. The fries are only fried once so they are softer like In-N-Out fries rather than twice fried, crispy McDonald's fries. Five Guys cooks their fries longer than In-N-Out so they come out browner and in my opinion tastier. I also highly recommend their Cajun Spice. The Cajun Spice makes their fries much better and more interesting. I like their fries so much that when I get a sandwich at Which Wich or a Fish Taco from Rubio's, I'll get a side order of fries at Five Guys to go with my sandwich or taco. In my opinion, the Five Guys Burger is not as tasty as an In-N-Out burger and it's more expensive. However, I do appreciate the ability to mix and match toppings. I also love their Cajun Style Fries. My friends and I ordered: 1 Kosher Style Hot Dog, 2 Bacon Cheeseburgers, 1 Little Hamburger, 2 large orders of their amazing Cajun Fries, Chocolate Shake, and Fountain Drinks...You must try their Cajun Fries, there is no other place that makes mouthwatering Cajun fries like Five Guys! As we waited for our orders to come out, we got a small container with complimentary peanuts to snack on. A few minutes later our order was ready and it was soooo delicious! The deli I wanted to go to today was closed, due to Thanksgiving, so I decided to check out the new Five Guys in El Segundo. One of my hipster friends told me about Five Guys before when we were talking about The Counter. Due to my overly healthy nature, I rarely eat burgers but I'm glad I went to this place. First off, it felt like a more refined In-N-Out. The menu is only a little larger than In-N-Out's, but seems like there are SO many more options, not counting In-N-Out's secret menu. You can add toppings like grilled mushrooms and onions, which is what I added, for free and you can add as many as you want! That was a huge shock, I can't think of any other restaurant that does that. Another plus, the kitchen is completely open so you can see your burger and fries being cooked at all times. So how were the burger and fries? Pretty good, the fries tasted really fresh and were not overly greasy, which I really like. The burger was nicely wrapped in aluminum foil and after unwrapping it, I saw that I had a two reasonably sized patties. I guess all of their regular burgers have two patties and the "little burger" only has one, now I know. The burger was thicker than anything I've received at any other burger place, except for The Counter, and it was pretty juicy. Five Guys wasn't a hall of fame burger, but it was still amazing. Getting a great burger with unlimited toppings is hard to beat. I loaded up on toppings. The worst part was the bun is smashed into the burger. Get the regular burger which really a double. The fries are even better than the burger. I made the mistake of ordering a large order of fries and it was way too much. I literally ate myself into another clothing size just off that bag of fries. I am a fan of Five Guys but because I am trying to limit my burger intake, I try not to visit too often. I give Five Guys Credit for opening directly across the street from the Habit and only a few blocks from an In n Out but any one who has stood in line at either of those two places for lunch probably figured that there was room for another "Better Burger" concept in the neighborhood. I figured that a lot of people were off during the week between Xmas and New Years and that the opening hype would have died down enough to visit this new location near my work. The other thing was that I wanted to try their new mobile app for ordering. If I was rating the mobile app it would get 1 star. It kept on failing 3/4 of the way through my order. They have to go back to the drawing board on this. I got tired of it and ordered my lunch trough their website from my desk top instead. The online ordering worked great and was very simple to use. I was going with a friend from work and we both ordered a Burger and a Hot dog and one small fry to split. When we got their our order was ready and I had paid for it, so we did not have to wait in line we just went to the pick up. I noticed that one of the hot dogs was missing and I realized that I had probably forgot to add it to the cart online as it was a bit of an after thought. The manager didn't wait for me to explain, he simply said "no problem" and told the person fixing the items to prepare hot dog for us. It took about two minutes and he said we didn't have to pay for it. Now that is freakin GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. It would have been all a waste if the food wasn't good but I have to say that the burger was delicious. The meat tasted fresh, the toppings were perfect and the bun was a fresh, tasty, compliment to the whole burger. The hot dog was equally yummy and I loved their fries. I have had Five Guys several times in the past, but honestly this time it tasted better than I remember. Parking: They have a private lot, but often times it is crazy busy because it shares a lot with Rubio's, Which Wich, and Malibu Fish Company. During the lunch hour it can be tough finding a spot. Service: Not much to say about service. You order your food and pick it up at the counter. Food: The burgers are good. A normal burger is actually a double! The little versions are singles. They have an array or toppings: ketchup, mustard, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, BBQ Sauce, A1 sauce, jalapenos, etc). It's great that you can order your burger just they way you like it. The fires are also very good. I like the Cajun fires. For me even the regular sized fries are a lot. They usually fill up the cup, while also adding a scoop to top off your bag. Ok, this visit was a tad better since I was actually prepared what I wanted. However, 3 stars is the best I am going to give them for now. I decided to order the big size burger with cheese, grilled onions, bbq sauce and jalapenos. Since I was with my girlfriend we decided to get the smaller size fries because they looked like enough to share for two. The burger was A-Ok. Maybe it was me but the cheese tasted like it was processed, not real cheese. I was a little more impressed this time because I knew what I was doing. With two patties, it is a better way to go instead of trying to fit an enormous patty on a bun like other restaurants. My french fries were quite good. They actually had seasoning and tasted fresh. A little hand written sign wrote where the potatoes came from (a farm). So you know they were legit. Service was nice and friendly plus it was loud because of the kitchen being right there. Over time, I may bump my reviews a little higher. I still do not like my burger being wrapped to go even though I want to eat it there. I'm getting very disappointed in five guys. This isn't the first time they have messed up my order. I'm pretty sure they have the receipt there when they make the burgers. But even then. They add a ridiculously large amount of onion and only add that sorry little excuse of a lettuce piece. Not only that but they added tomato when i didnt ask for it and they forgot to give me pickles. I think it was SUPER gutsy of Five Guys to open a location directly across the street from The Habit! But with all the office workers in this hood, I'm sure they will have no trouble staying in business. There is a lot of griping among Yelpers about the prices. $3.69 is not bad for a hamburger people!! And you're supposed to share the fries--that's why they are HUGE and a little more expensive. I really agree with the person who said that Five Guys tastes like a burger you would make in your backyard. It reminds me of being a little kid and my dad making the "World's Greatest Hamburgers"... essentially this meant grilling up some big patties and taking EVERY condiment out of the fridge so you could make some crazy Frankenstein hamburger that had all your fav toppings on it. My Five Guys burger had pickles AND relish (clutch) along with lettuce, diced onions (clutch), A1 sauce and mayo. It really is all about the toppings here. My boyfriend got green peppers on his burger which was an interesting concept. My boyfriend is obsessed with Five Guys, but at the end of the day I'm still more of a Habit girl. We'll be back at both on the regular. With winter coming and backyard grilling season almost over, Five Guys will be a good taste of summer in the chilly months. read more

Every day I seem to find myself in the same predicament...What to eat for lunch? I decided to try Five Guys and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Little Cheeseburger which was succulent and loaded with flavor and perfect for one person. They allow you to pick your toppings and it's made to order! I tried the Cajun fries and ooo wee. Almost every part of the cajun fries is covered in delicious seasoning. There's also a little kick to the fries. Don't let the calorie count distract you. It's a shame this has to be published because they are almost a gazillion calories each, lol. The service was good. The guy with long hair explained the menu and sizes and offered sriracha. This burger joint just opened up over the weekend and I decided to give them a try. It was the middle of the week and I was hoping it wouldn't be too crowded, I was dearly wrong. As I approached, I noticed the place was infested with people wearing ID badges... damn office people! The associate taking my order had difficulty hearing me. The place was too loud for me, I had to wait outside for my order. The total wait time was about 40 min They have 3 types of hamburgers which comes in two sizes, large and small (2 patties, 1 patty): Hamburger, Cheeseburger and Bacon Cheeseburger. They also have Hot Dogs (A Kosher Hot Dog), Several Veggie items, as well as Fries. They have a wide variety of condiments for your hamburger, grilled onions and mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. There's additional condiments which you need to pay extra for, ie. jalapenos, BBQ Sauce... I sampled both the Cheeseburger and the Bacon Cheeseburger as well as the Fries (Regular and Cajun style). I would rate the burgers equivalent to Rally's Burgers. The burgers are good, however I prefer Rally's over Five Guys and don't even compare them to In & Out Burger. Look, the standard for fast food burgers has already been set with, In & Out. If Five Guys think they can come here and upset the balance of power in the universe then they have something coming to them. The only thing I will concede is the fries. The fries were outstanding, both the regular and Cajun were very good. Now that I've tried them the mystery is gone. This was my first time to Five Guys. I've heard how good this burger place was, so i wanted to try it. I had ordered the cheese burger, large fries and a small soda for lunch. I really don't get why they have peanuts, but it's their gimmick. When I got my order, i was really surprised by the amount of fries you get. Since they were on top, the fries were the first thing I ate. Don't know if it was this batch, but the fries were really salty. Another Burger place in the Segundo right across the street from the Habit. Five Guys has a custom burger option but they do have a standard burger option. If you plan on building your own burger make sure you know what you want because you'll even have to order ketchup if you want it, and you're not good under pressure make sure you write down everything you want on it or else you'll end up with a sucky burger that only you are to blame for. At night there isn't a line (yet) so i had an easy time building my burger at the cashier, and I enjoyed my A1, grilled onion burger this time around. At lunch there's a line out the door, so make sure to place your order online. They're opening up the parking lot so you don't need to get validated anymore to eat here, but it looks like parking is going to get tougher with the complex becoming quite the lunchtime destination. **Peanuts are everywhere!** I'm allergic to peanuts (not in the its going to kill me kind of way) but i don't know if it was just stuffy but i had a hard time breathing in there. read more
