Met my boyfriend for lunch at the mall, and he decided he wanted to take me here. He visited for the first time the other day, told me it was like Subway, how you get to pick what to put on it. We figured out the "little burger" means only one meat patty. Bunch of tables in the middle of the place, and boxes against the wall. Also, to create the line, they had laid out bags of potatoes. Seemed kind of unorganized/hectic to me, but it works I guess. Near the door the had a bulletin board you could draw on index cards then post on it, that was a fun idea. I had the litte cheeseburger with "Everything" except onions and mushrooms. "Everything" or "all the way" is all the toppings in black writing. Oh, and toppings don't cost extra, I thought they would have been. Also I got A-1 sauce on it, yum yum. I like burgers, and I liked this one. It wasn't "the best" I've had, but I haven't found that great burger yet, its a close best though. We shared the Cajun fries & they were pretty good, I'll be getting them again next time. Ohhhhh! and they had free peanuts, score! Price was a bit high, almost 20 bucks for 2 people, but the quality made up for it. If you want a burger that will fill you, spend 4 bucks for 2 people at Mcdonalds. But if you want to enjoy a tasty burger, come here. Walked in to 5 Guys for some quick fix of fries, ordered one regular sized fries, waited 8 minutes for it, employees were singing along to the background music, relaxed with no sense of urgency, there were about 5 different groups of customers waiting for their orders. Fries were decent amount and good flavor as always, little crunchy on the outside and soft inside with good amount of salt. It would be nice if they can improve their ventilation system with the open kitchen, like the food but don't want to come out like I have worked there for the whole day and having to wash my clothes to get rid of the greasy smell. read more

I grew up in the South Seattle area, so I have Zippy's, Elliott Bay Brewery, Blue Moon, and a number of other good burger joints in the area - I'm still in search of something that's equally good - but food a classic burger, Five Guys isn't bad. It's cool that you get to choose your toppings and whether you want a single or double patty burger. You can't say that you don't like an ingredient, because you have agency over your order. The other thing that's nice, because you pick your toppings, is that the burgers are made to order and you can see the staff cooking your burger on the grill. You know that you're getting a fresh, made-to-order, burger. The burger was a little juicy, a little greasy, a little messy, and good. It was a filling, classic tasting burger - like you're at a cookout/BBQ. The fries are plentiful with your order. You get enough to feed yourself, friends, family, and a small army because they fill up a cup and part of the bag when you order it. Beyond the fry generosity, the fries are hand cut, large, crispy, a little "meaty," and they have give as well. Some fries you'll try will be crispy & crunchy and others will be a little soggy & greasy - you get the best of both worlds. In addition to the good food, are nice snack peanuts that are readily available while you wait for your order or as a complement to your food and is a really nice staff. It's a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that's a good place to get a classic (meat, cheese, lettuce) burger. Why I don't give it 4 Stars is that it does get a bit expensive. The milkshakes are a little expensive for the size and while you can choose a mountain of toppings for your burger, I did feel the burger was a tad expensive for the quality. I didn't find the meat to be all that flavorful and I wished there was a char on the burger to add depth to the flavor profile. The burger was just kind of like a giant ball of meat because of how the cheese and meat melted together. It's one of the better places to get burgers around Lynnwood, but I feel like there should be better out there. I've been here twice and have no complaints. Great burgers that are made fresh to order. Can totally tell the meat isn't frozen. No issues with the orders being correct. The quality of food at this particular location varies depending on which manager is on duty. Either way, the burgers are usually good. It's the fries you have to watch out for. It seems as if the prices on fries vary considerably, however; when ordering a regular or a large fry, they seem to include pretty much the same amount. Normally, I wouldn't say anything, but they're almost charging $10 for a large fry and making it look casual. There is nothing casual about charging close to $10 for a large fry and getting the same amount as a regular. Again, their burgers are fantastic! You just have to keep an eye out to see which manager is on duty. Only then will you get your money's worth. I would say it would be more worth it to find another 5 Guys in the area. Yes, you can get a burger and fries here. Why anyone would want to is beyond me. The restaurant is clean and the usual sort of fast-food thing. There was one clerk taking orders and she was clearly not happy about it - which I can kind of understand, all things considered - but then she screwed up my order, which I was kind of not happy about, either. The fries here are supposed to be great because they "taste like actual potatoes." I agree, and note that potatoes don't really have much flavor unless cooked properly, which these weren't. They were mushy, not crispy, and under seasoned. The burgers were a regrettable reminder of everything that is wrong with American food: unexpectedly, needlessly massive, but not especially flavorful or memorable in any other way. So, I decided to see what all the Hype was about this chain restaurant. It was kinda crowded on a Sunday early evening. I only waited in line for about 10min. I decided on the Bacon Burger with a few fixings which were free and an order of Reg. Fries. I heard they give you lot's of fries for one order. My order came out pretty quick, I had my order to go and ate it at home. My burger is actually two thin patties, so I'm thinking the little burger on the menu is only one patty. I really don't care for thin patties for burgers. I think a good burger should have a very thick patty so, you actually taste the beef. Fries were okay, they are cooked fresh not frozen, so the fries won't be crispy. The price is high for their burgers. I spent $9 for only one burger and one order of fries. No drink. I don't think I'll be back, it wasn't that great of a burger for the PRICE. $2.89 for reg. order of fries. almost $3.00?? they think they can just give you lot's of fries so you can be full and make you happy? not me... taste is where it's at and this place doesn't have much of a tasty burger nor fries. who cares that they give you free peanuts to munch on ! Great burger joint. My husband had the bacon cheese burger and I had the "little" cheese burger. The little burgers are regular size with one patty instead of two. Our burgers were amazing and we were able to have as many toppings as we wanted without an up charge. They cook their hand cut French fries in peanut oil and they taste amazing. They had a sign up telling customers where the tomatoes used that day came from. I love that they buy from local farmers. The chocolate milkshake was the best I've had in a long time. Store is clean and staff friendly. They also have huge containers of peanuts for customers to snack on while they wait which is a cool touch. read more

I have been hearing hype about this place since it opened. I went yesterday with great enthusiasm and everything went downhill from the moment I stepped in. All I could think of... "This is it?!" A bland "dining area" with a dominant appearance and replica of a school cafeteria, minus... the red tiling sensation? Yum. Besides the oil dripping, there wasn't anything else so spectacular. I ate in silence, thoroughly allowing the disappointment sink in as I ate with a friend. I hadn't been into a Five Guys in several years and I was looking at a menu for them online when I realized it had been posted 5 years ago. So I paid the $11.71 including tax, for their regular burger. My thoughts went to the busy Wendy's I had been, where I got two regular burgers for their $6 special which were very good. The cashier was not friendly and made no effort to speak clearly through the mask. When my burger was ready the cook was saying something, but not one word sounded like English. I asked him about the burger and I think he thought he was speaking English. Another person that I were both wondering if it was ours so we produced our receipts and it was mine. I was thinking at a regular order of fries you're at about 19 with tax a shake $25 total for one person with all the ambiance of a cold empty warehouse. I'm glad I didn't bring anyone there with me. So for the 3 minutes l hurriedly ate the burger and got out of there, I remembered the wonderful experience at Red Robin where employees were so friendly and there was a happy atmosphere, and the food was great. NO lie. These burgers are cravilicious. I crave these burgers once in awhile. I wouldn't be mind one right now, actually. You can make your own burger here. I usually get one with everything plus jelapeno, mushrooms and hot sauce. Delish. . . Their fries are really good too. I usually get the cajun one. Remember to get lots of napkins when you get these fries. There are lots of seasoning on them and it gets all over your fingers. If you have never had a burger here, I would definitely recommend trying one and coming up with your own conclusion. FYI: ordering can be a little difficult. Here's to make it easy. Tell them how if you want a single or a double. Then tell them what toppings you want on it. And that's that. And take your time ordering. OMG, I can't say enough great things about this place. Sure, there is a line - but it moves VERY quickly. If you have a HUGE appetite, then get the regular (two patties), but if you are just a regular eater like me, then the junior size is better. They have an outstanding selection of condiments -- their grilled onions are like poetry. Because it was my son, boyfriend and I, we got a large fry - there were plenty for all three of us, and they were tasty. So, the burgers are 'licious, and the fries are inspired, but I was so pleased with the soda selection. Every Coke product you can imagine. My drug - eh, I mean drink of choice is Coke Zero. Wow! For a chain, Five Guys definately blows its other competitor chains out of the water! (Red Robin, i'm looking at you!) I should mention as a disclaimer, that i am not a huge burger fan. Ground meat and cheese with bun, to me, isnt complicated food in the least. But this burger (bunless of course) was juicy, seasoned lightly, cheesy, and topped with all sorts of goody goodness. I was happy that the packaging sans bun wasnt too sloppy, they offered utensils to eat with in the shop, and it was hot, and the toppings were fresh as hell! Condiments were served in cups on the side. But seriously, a regular order of cajun fries yielded about a pound of potatoes. It was ridiculous, and they were not as spicy as I usually like. The potatoes are cut fresh, which I love, and will keep me coming back- I'll just remember that a regular order can be split between 2-3 people next time. Also, they have effin' Coke Zero, which is my fave, and I also saw they carry Mello Yello as a soda choice. Mello Yello? That is sooo oldskool. I love it. after trying both the northgate and lynnwood locations, i still don't like it. good things first: fast and efficient ordering process, the staff is extremely friendly, and the order-taker is very patient with newbies working through the ordering process. love the music and it is not too loud. the meat has a funny after-feel-taste. there is a feel of coagulated fat on my tongue. at first i thought i was because i ordered the "regular" which turned out to be 2 patties, and it took me a long time to finish it. but i don't think a cooled down meat patty should have the fatty mouth feel. the little burger gave me the exact same fatty mouth feel. i ordered pickles on the side and there were pickles in my burgers (both times) as well as pickles on the side. the iceberg lettuce was chopped. i don't see the comparison with in-n-out burgers because their lettuce is a crispy whole leaf iceberg lettuce. it's a personal preference but i like my fries very crispy. these fries are soft and often-times limp. a big disappointment. read more

I could do without the long lines, but I completely understand why there is one in the first place - the food is delicious! I got a little burger (the little burger has one patty, while the regular burger has two) with grilled mushrooms only, since I really wanted to taste the flavor of the burger. You can load up your burger with any toppings you want though, all are gratis. My burger was delicious! And the cajun fries are to die for and you get so many of them. I had so many I couldn't finish them all but lucky for me they reheated wonderfully in the oven. The food here is so good! Aside from the food, this place is just so darn efficient. From the way the put numbered stickers on the burger wrappers so you can tell which one is which without unwrapping them, to the number of employees they have in the back working. There are so many variables in every burger and they didn't get a single thing wrong. And all of the employees were just so nice! If you have a peanut allergy though, you may want to stay away. Here's why: - don't overhype yourself if you can't back it up - cajun fries better taste greasy and spicy like they came from the bayou. These fries are greasy but have no real flavor and the cajun seasoning is rather bland - if you are going to bother to have a million egotistical signs, you could have one that also explains that a regular burger is 2 patties and a junior is 1. A regular is just too much food for most people. - if you are going to bother to have a veggie option at least stock some veggie patties in the back.
