Seriously, All these hypes for this bland flavorless burgers.. Seriously. I ordered bacon burger with some mushroom and guess what i got? Bacon - cold and already cooked. I hardly felt there that there was any piece of bacon on the burger. Mushroom - cold mushroom, i believe from the can, which were completely tasteless. patty - dry patty but the size was decent. Bun - small and cold bun. Need some heating on the grill. Overall the worst burger i ever had. Dicks are better than these guys. Fries on the other hand were good. Ok, so I have to take back what I initially said about Five Guys. It's not really a greasy burger. Their meat is 'never frozen' and very moist. I have been to Five Guys a few times since they came to this area. I think I assumed the burger was greasy because the bun didn't hold up to all the toppings I ordered. Upon closer inspection I found the burger patty to be moist and not very greasy at all. If they toasted their buns or maybe used a different type of bread, it might hold up better. The grease that oozes from the bag is from the fries. So, with that said, I LOVE Five Guys Burgers! I find myself craving their burgers if I go a few weeks without one. The Lynnwood location has the same quality beef and fries as the Northgate location. The line was almost out the door the first couple times I went because it was the first week they were open. This place is a no frills environment, set up like a cafeteria. They have free peanuts in the lobby while you wait for your order. All orders are bagged to go, but you can sit and eat it there. The fries are consistent. They're like a thick version of Dick's fries, skin-on crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Kinda like skinny steak fries. They get soggy if you let them sit too long. The list of toppings is impressive, although there's no selection of different cheeses. That and the lack of milkshakes are the only minus points. read more

Just visited 5 Guys...thinking that I should at least have a go 1 time. And 1 time it will be. Burgers are over-priced (in my opinion) and the buns are soggy becos they wrapped the whole burger in a aluminium foil (why?). Fries were salty and unimpressive. They serve you to go...so I guess this helps eliminate any washing dishes or collection of baskets (think In-and-Out). I reckon their overhead is not too high (they seem to onlyhave 5 guys/gals working inside)...but the prices are on the steep side. There...I've visited the place and I didn't think it was that great altho they had little "banners" or accolades by people who think it's great. In and Out Burger want to be? Its not quite there. The restaurant promise well done juicy burger. I think it is just too dry even after adding the tomato, grilled onion and mushroom and tomatoes and cheese. The fries tasted fresh fry but it need something extra to kick it up a notch. Dropped in on a Thursday night for dinner with the wife and baby. Even months after opening, this place is still a madhouse. It doesn't help that the tables are a total clusterf@ck, with absolutely no usable space in between them for people to pass. Apparently, the concept of practical aisle space escapes them here. Anyways, the burgers are decent, if a bit overpriced. As many others have pointed out, you get a wide selection of toppings to put on either your double burger (their "regular") or single patty (their "little") burger. If you go "all the way" with the full complement of "standard" toppings, be forewarned that your burger will probably turn into a sloppy mess before you're done with it. Thankfully, they have huge stacks of napkins at the ready next to the ketchup dispensers. I'm not a big fan of their fries, even though they're freshly thick cut and you're given double what the sample cup on the menu makes you think you're getting. It seems like they're just cut and then single fried, whereas I prefer the crispier method of double-frying french fries (first at a lower temp to blanch the potatoes, then at a higher temp before serving to give them that crispiness). I thought maybe the Cajun version could be their saving grace (having previously tried the normal fries), but alas, that wasn't to be either. At least they offer malt vinegar for your soggy fries. I know you Seattlelites and East Coasters don't want to hear it , but In-N-Out is still much better than Five Guys or Dick's Hamburgers. Yes, the truth does hurt, but it's okay, you'll live. There was a lot of build up for me going to 5 guys. I had friends who went and couldn't believe I had not gone. I kept asking if it was worth it and they said yes. I first went in and it seemed to be a pretty "cheap" atmosphere. I figured the taste of the burgers would make up for it. Got my order in, a bacon cheese burger and regular drink - $10. Whoa! That was pricey, but figured the taste might be worth it. The burger was okay, but not THAT good. These guys do it right and everything is fresh, but I found the fries to be a bit borring and for $12, I really expected more. A co-worker was raving about them and I was passing by and hungry. I stopped in and tried. They were very good burgers, indeed! Juicy and they came with grilled onions and other toppings for no extra charge. I will definitely be back when I am in the neighborhood, unless I have my granddaughter with me. Second time leaving a bad review for five guys. My boyfriend and I are doing door dash, and they took our order, said itll be up in a little, but then they took 5 other orders before they made ours, then did ours last. As far as I know it should be first come first serve. Now were late delivering our orders. My boyfriend waited 20 mins just to get the food. Never going back there again. Great place to get a burger. Definitely better than just a regular fast food chain burger. This place has more quality and freshness of the ingredients. Most of all, you can take the roasted peanuts for free as much as you want. You have to be careful if you have some kind of peanut allergy with your external part of the body. The place is clean, casual environment, very friendly cashier and staff. Be patient with your order because sometimes it can take long if it is crowded. Always make sure that you have your order right. For the food, the burger is definitely awesome. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with every toppings plus some extra bbq sauce. It was one of the best burger that I have eaten. I like the fries and they are cheap too. Regular fries is around 4 dollars for 3-4 people, really worth the price. I love this place. They are great for a quick decent burger but I extra love them today because I am doing the whole30 and they are one of the only places other than chipotle that are compliant with it. They accomodated me with a lettuce wrap and provided forks and knives without me asking. Very grateful for this when i have a day that i didnt have time to meal prep. read more

Came in with my picky 2 and 5 year olds, ordered Cajun fries, a bacon dog, grilled cheese, and 2 bacon cheeseburgers. They were training some new hires, and my toppings ended up on my son's hot dog, but what impressed me is how sincerely apologetic and eager to correct the issue they were. Food was friggin amazing, and my kids actually ate their food for once. Another thing I want to mention is just how damn happy the workers are. They were singing along to the PA system, and enthusiastic about their jobs to the point that one boy bent down to pick up a single piece of onion off the floor by hand. I am from California so I love my Inn N Out, sadly there are none up here in the Northwest. It seems like up here Five Guys is the equivalent and at first I did not really like it, but over time I have grown to enjoy it and its different style. One thing I like is that you can order online and customize the burger to exactly how you like it with the assortment of toppings they have available to you. I love getting some jalapenos on mine to give it that extra kick. I don't recommend getting the bacon though because it gets overpowered by everything else. I've always found the burgers to be juicy and flavorful. But my favorite thing here isn't the burgers, its the cajun flavored fries. I really enjoy eating cajun fries with vinegar and ketchup, so good! Even better though is that they will toss in a bunch of extra fries into the bag! So your large fries instantly becomes EXTRA LARGE FRIES :) Also the people working here are always friendly and helpful. While I still miss my Inn N Out, Five Guys does a good job of holding me over until I can go back home and gorge myself on some Inn N Out. read more

I would normally give this place 5 stars. However this visit was a huge fluke or possibly a poorly managed kitchen staff on this particular evening. I waited almost an hour for an online order that was made at 7:10pm for pick up at 7:45pm. It's now 8:30pm and I still haven't received our order. This kitchen is lacking experience when it comes to their cooks. Five guys should be an establishment where patties should be on the grill non stop for their evening rush, I've worked these kinds of hotlines before... and it sucks but get your shit together. One star is for a friendy cashier. The food is rediculously overpriced, there is no combo option, and the tiny bun falls apart. When I saw sauteed onions and mushrooms on the menu I thought my burger would rock, but the onions wenen't cooked enough, and fell out anyway.
