Poppy seeds in addition to sesame. Odd flavor, like a science experiment. Not good. Bad, even. -- The Sauce: Bright orange, thick, and somewhat spicy, like a cross between French and Thousand Island dressings with some hot sauce added. Very good. -- The Cheese: Three slices, though I think they goofed and only gave me two. Whiter, thicker, and cheddar, so more flavorful than their usual. Good. -- The Patties: They seemed thinner than the quarter pound patties, but after a half hour in their plastic steaming drawer, who knows. Even after that drawer time, very dry. Make that very, very dry. Not good. -- The Onions: The cooked ones got lost in all the other condiments and the dominant bun, but the crispy onions stood out, but for the wrong reason. Artificial tasting and unpleasant. Not good. Bad, even. -- The Lettuce and Pickles: Way more lettuce than on a Big Mac, but the same. -- The Price: $9 and change before tax for just the sandwich, and $13 and change for the meal. Seemingly high for fast food, but everything's double these days, so who's to say. I'll say this: it's only a little bit more than a double quarter pounder, and you're getting extra cheese and extra condiments, so not as unreasonable as McDonald's often is. It was a fun experiment. Lengthy, crisp, and hot. As for this particular McDonald's: Very modern inside, with comfy seating. But good luck finding your way in and out of the parking lot. And you may need to circle a few times before finding the drive thru. There used to be a time when everyone knew that Five Guys was better, but the price difference was enough to stick with McDonald's. Nowadays, that gap has almost closed. I try to choose neither, but if forced to choose between the two, I'll choose Five Guys over McDonald's, and there's one in the same plaza.

After several attempts to try and order we gave up and while walking out the ladies then asked if they could help. we opted for the drivethru. The only word I understood from the kid at the drivethru was "McDonalds" the rest he mumbled - Success!!! order placed - drive up to window #1 and pay - window #2 get yer drink - window #3 food - yay - apparently you have to ask for napkins and ketchup..who knew??? would I ever go there again???? not a chance - Ray Kroc is probably rolling over in his grave.

What"s not to like about perfectly cooked beef (fresh, never frozen according to their advertising), every imaginable topping at no additional charge (I think they charge extra for the bacon, but don't bother- it's very jerky-like and actually detracts from the delight of the burger), fresh cut fries cooked in peanut oil- allergens be damned- this place is for the fearless! The employees are determinably friendly, but not quite in a Stepford kind of way, they really seem to mean it, and they respond in ad libs, not canned responses, there is intelligence at work here. I am saving the best part for almost last- the never ending flavor coke machine!!! How much fun is this thing? It's Wonka Coke- dial up any flavor combo imaginable- it's the fizzy lifting machine to be sure! And, classic rock at a nice loud volume. If the lights were not quite as bright, and the buns maybe came with a whole grain option, there would be 5 stars, but for a fast food option, I will gladly choose 5 guys over the other area places. read more

Honestly I hate their fries... The problem with them, in my opinion, is you have to get them right when they come out of the fryer or else they are garbage. The burgers are priced a little high to me. I really enjoy Five Guys but this location is not what it used to be. When they first opened it was much better service, and the product was better as well. I got a double with lots of toppings and it was a mushy mess. The burger was overcooked terribly. I don't know what has changed here, but it's gone down hill. I think I'm better off going elsewhere. read more

My order was all set for pickup in under 10 minutes. I enjoyed my hot dogs on soft warm NE hot dog buns and Frito pie in the food court. The Woostah (Relish, mustard, onions, bacon bits, banana peppers, celery salt, dill spear), The Fredo (chili, melted cheese sauce), and French Connection (Fried French onions, melted cheese sauce, bbq sauce drizzle) hot dogs were very enjoyable. Wow. Fries with a bit of spice- also very good. The cashier walked me through the menu as he knew I hadn't been before. Very nice. A manager also checked in with me as I waited. Nice touch. Restroom was ok, not the cleanest but fine. Dave's is now on my "crave it" list!!

Snappy crunch to the dogs. A good quality roll too. Good, decadent, and pass the mustard please!
