In a pinch, Five Guys DOES provide a quickly made, fresh, tasty burger, with decent french fries. When looking for said quick bite, it's nice to have a Five Guys located in the Times Square Area near the A/C/E stop. The service is surprisingly quick, happy, and peppy, despite the crowds. Still, it's not a "go to" place for me and I put this chain under my personal "overly hyped" list. If you want a good meal, you'd be better off walking that extra block over to 9th Avenue and taking a walk northbound. read more

This is the closest FIVE GUYS to my job. Staff is nice and they place is always clean- as I find with most FIVE GUYS restaurants. On a weekday, I would definitely order online and go pick up. You get to skip the long line and go straight to the pick up window. One nice thing they do is, if you order fries, they don't put it in your bag until you come to pick up. Even busy, this place moves fast. Service is good, place is clean, burgers are, as I expected, completely delicious. Fries are plentiful, drink machine is awesome, it may look like a long wait in line, but it moves really fast. I've been to Five Guys numerous times and I'm never disappointed. They don't have any crazy quadruple stacked burgers but they are fresh and made with quality meat. I've tasted better but unlimited toppings like mushrooms and steak sauce make their burgers a good choice. When it comes to their fries, though, I don't think anyone does them better. They just overfill your bag with fries so a small is more like regular, and if you don't mind a little spice then the cajun fries are the thing to get. read more

Five Guys is my favorite burger chainstore. Hamburger patties made fresh on the spot. However, this branch really disappointed me when they could not get my friends and my order correct. We ordered 3 burgers and none of them were correct. This really was a disappointment especially since I'm not a big of spicy and they put jalapenos in my burger by mistake! Even when I extracted out the jalapenos, I could still taste the spiciness. Very disappointed with my order, took around 25 mins to get it, I order the bacon cheeseburger, with onions, lettuce, ketchup and hot sauce, regular fries and a drink. Total of $15...I only got a cheeseburger with lettuce and fries and drink..couldn't complain because I didn't check my order in the place thinking they gave me what I paid for, when I found out work it was too late, and needed to open the place. Really not impressed at all, stopped by cause my friend scoffed when I said Shake Shack!! I scowled and cursed him when he mentioned this place and boy I was not wrong. Five guys is an american burger joint from the south that in the last 10 years has taken over the NYC burger game. They're burgers are the best i've had from a non-4 star or higher. The ambiance isnt exactly enthralling but once you bite into the burger and taste the peanut oil cooked crispy soft fries then you instantly fall in love. You'll forget, at least for a second that your in a cramped, loud, messy place. The one thing i can say is their burgers are way better than the shake shacks across the street. read more

I've only ever been to this particular Five Guys. I used to stop in once every few weeks after work. I usually got out around midnight and this place was one of the few place still open. Because I got out of work so late, this place would be pretty empty so there was rarely a line. I always got the cheeseburger with everything plus jalapenos. It's pretty good so have no complaints about the burger, but I'd skip the fries. They're almost always soggy. I've read some of the reviews and they all seem to say service is friendly. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Most of the time, the cashier was sullen and seemed reluctant to take my order. I wish Shake Shack was open later. read more

Ordered a little bacon cheese burger and a shake the total was $14.35 the burger itself was $8.19 cents when I got the burger it wasn't much bigger than a white castle burger I figured this burger must have some truffles in it and that it would taste super amazing. I must say I wasn't impressed at all is just a plain overpriced burger no bigger than my palm, I can only imagine how much a big burger a double burger would cost here and not mention fries are not included so it safe to say I will never come here again for what I paid here I could gotten myself a steak dinner for what I paid at five guys, well lesson learned I guess...... read more

Last time I had Five Guys was Miami 2010 so I was surprised when I saw this one pop up on 42nd street. We were on our way to Greyhound but still had some time to kill before boarding the bus. I haven't had fast food in a very long time and my pores were dying to be clogged with fat. My first question to Five Guys is why would you let us stack pattie on top of pattie and then not charge extra for the 7 million toppings that you provide. Well it was 11 am and I thought to myself why not through some jalapenos, onions, cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mayo, mustard and whatever else I decided to slop on their.
