So I thought maybe there was a solution. But sometimes it's just not meant to be. My fat friend Sam, as well the maintenance man where I work, had highly recommended Slay Burgers. The maintenance man, Tito, had much more enthusiasm about the establishment. With that being said, he isn't nearly as fat as my fat friend Sam so I was a little skeptical. Once I arrived, I was eager for a beer. If only my fat friend Sam would have warned me this is not the spot to go to right after the DMV. It's not a sit down spot, but my fat friend Sam recently stopped drinking. I often forget that. so now, I decide to shake things up a little, and get two bacon and two doubles cheeseburgers. This way I can try the bacon first and if I like it, I claim it. If I don't, we all split. So naturally, I start eating in the car. As I bite into the bacon cheeseburger, I try to convince myself I like it. But three bites in, I know we're all splitting this lunch. I lie to the family and tell my Dad the Bacon Burger is good. "Let's all split." He plays along with it knowing the bacon cheeseburger is unfortunately, a bad burger. The smash burger, I enjoyed. I will be going back to Slay Burgers. It took about 20 minutes (10 minutes less than what they told us!) for our 5 top to get our orders. The burgers were massive and the fries were cooked to perfection. An order of fries was missed but when I mentioned it to the expeditor at the counter, he was quick to remedy the situation. All in all, a 5 star experience!
