The location was clean, and by that not much peanut shell debris. Plenty of seating. We ordered a few little cheeseburgers and my cheeseburger came with onions, jalapeños and A-1. It was fine, and my kids scarfed theirs down quickly. They love their Five Guys. If you love fries, like many Five Guy locations, you will have plenty. Let's be honest, you don't go to Five Guys if you're on a health kick. The burger and fries are great, and ooze enough grease to lube a tractor. They do capture the feel of a backyard hamburger with fries from the State Fair, which is my book is pretty damned good. Can't give them 5 stars, though. Service is hit and miss, and when I've been there. The a la carte menu brings the total for a typical burger, fries, and drink to around $17-18, which is a bit steep. Yes, it's a quality hamburger, but they're trying to make up the volume of your meal with a heap of more filling-but-cheaper french fries. Also, for those prices you can expect a better than fast food restaurant hard seating and a cleaner place for your meal. This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Went here for the first time in a long time, since I have found their prices to feed the family is way too expensive, but I just needed a couple of burgers and order of fries. Nothing extra on the burgers and it came out to $32. The burgers and fries are good, but there are other burgers out there for less. I ordered my burger dry (no condiments) and when I got home it was plain. Drove back up there and the manager was nice to make me a new burger with some extras on it. Absolutely awful experience from two of the staff, one was a white or Hispanic woman, the other a black man. Don't know the names. General manager later agreed I wasn't even being rude and the man told me "I don't know who you think you're talking to but I'm a 36 year old man." I told him why does that matter and he said "my age doesn't matter" General manager later told me there isn't even a 36 year old who is on her team, like none. but once the general manager got a hold of my issue she was very helpful she was very upset that I had to go through what I did with her staff. She fixed my issue (third party driver marked my missing order as delivered) by refunding it and she made sure that the staff will put two meal tickets in my order when I re order. So, two stars. She told the team that nobody should ever have to be talked to the way they spoke to me. I wasn't even being a Karen. And honestly I've been able to admit when I was not understanding something etc but the manager agreed I hadn't been rude even. Full disclosure before we start. I am an In-N-Out guy. That being said and out of the way, I decided to give this place a try out today. I have had Five Guys before, however, I think the last time I had it was before Yelp!, and before smartphones. Don't judge me. With time to kill before a meeting at the office, I had a hankering for a burger, so I googled burger places and trashaburger (Whataburger) and Five Guys were nearby. So I pulled in to Five Guys, got out of my car, and walked in. After walking by a box of peanuts, I strolled up to the counter and perused the menu. Not wanting a big burger, I opted for the little bacon cheeseburger, a little order of fries, and a soda. I grabbed my cup and went to the Coca Cola machine. If you are a lover of soda, you have come to the right place. The Coca Cola machine has a large selection of sodas and an endless amount of combinations with fruit flavors to try. So... pace yourself.. After being basic, I just decided to get regular ole Barq's root beer and wait on my food. In good time "#48 is ready." I got my bag of food, which was piping hot and had splotches of grease from the "little fries" order. I took the burger out, unwrapped it, and consumed it quickly. While I am loyal to my preference as stated above, I can still appreciate a great burger. This burger tasted very fresh and very juicy. Also, the bacon was an actual piece of bacon that was crispy, letting you know it is there. Unlike other burger chains that put paper thin strips of bacon. The fries were also great too. I opted for the regular ones and not the cajun seasoned ones. Their fries were plentiful and "little" order overflows the small cup and overflows into the bag. The burger, fries, and drink were 5 stars, and I recommend this place for a great burger. Why the 3 stars? I'm glad you asked. While the food is pretty good, the price is not. I'd be more inclined to be a "Five Guys" guy, but $18 for a burger, fries, and a drink is too steep. I am glad I did not bring my family as that REALLY would have been expensive. Sure, they give you a whole bag of fries, but I'm here for the burger. I recommend this place. But make sure your wallet is full! Enjoy. read more

I tried to use gift cards online to pay for my order. I was charged the complete order price to my card. When I went in to try to get a refund and/or just use the gift cards, I was told that the manager would be texted and then contact me. No contact was made by them. The service was also fast enough to get to and from work within a standard lunch hour. I genuinely thought their version of a "veggie" burger would have had a veggie patty, but it was just ... a salad in a bun of sorts. Grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce, and tomato between two slices of bread. Not really something their vegetarian patrons would enjoy, I think. Their fries, however, are delicious. What I saw was scoop up old fries and put them in my sack and call my name. When I asked, she insisted the fries just came out and were very hot so be careful not to burn myself. I wouldn't normally bother to review a 5 Guys because you should know what to expect. In this case, it's what you didn't expect that's remarkable. What you won't find here are bad attitudes from the staff or cold stale food. You'll find piping hot great tasting fries and good burgers (Much better than that 'W' chain). This is basically a Whataburger/In-N-Out competitor at more than twice the price. There's nothing wrong with the food, the way there's nothing wrong with a Toyota Camry. But charging Mercedes prices is so absurd that it brings the rating down to 1-star. They cook the burgers on a flat top, no charbroiling here. It's nothing special, certainly not the handcrafted fine cuisine they try to hype it as. There's no wait service, no fine oak pub atmosphere, no sports bar; nothing. It's just another fast food burger. Burger, fries, and a shake for two cost $50. It probably explains why I was the only customer there at 9pm. Was there not to long ago maybe a week or so and food was good as always but today I noticed only 2 employees in the front. One employee who looked new on the register and a Taller African American Gentleman who is always here when I get food helping him, flipping burgers and tossing our fry's. We could see there were 2 ladies through this door just standing there as this was happening. Even though it was busy we were still handled with care by this gentleman with smiles and told my wife and I to have a good day and enjoy. I visited this location for the first time in January 15th, it was very first time trying Five Guys. So you can imagine to my surprise I was really surprised with the cost however I don't mind paying for great food. First let me start with my server/cashier Brittany was great! I told her it was my kids and I first time there. She didn't mind taking her time explaining the menu items, sizes of the burgers for my daughter who is only 11, and she made sure they got exactly what they wanted. She also gave me some Cajun seasoning to sample on the fries when we got home which was a great recommendation! Everyone was pleased with their food. We will definitely be returning! RIP Amazing fries. It's been quite a while since I had been to Five Guys, and until my last visit I would have said THE reason to go there is for the French fries. I went to Five Guys recently, ordered a burger and fries and was INCREDIBLY disappointed! The burger was ok, nothing special but it was exactly what I was expecting. The French fries were frozen horrible fries. The closest thing they reminded me of was fries from Long John Silvers but honestly I think they were worse. I was expecting fries made from fresh cut potatoes like they used to have, these were not even close. I'd have given it one star, but the employees were nice and the service was great. If they start making good fries again I'll be happy to go back, but until then I'll pass. read more

The cashier was so rude. She didn't even greet my husband and I when we walked up to order. She just stared at us with this look on her face that we obviously have inconvenienced her. She then told me it would be a few minutes for the milkshake because they have to wait for the machine to freeze the ice cream. A few minutes turned into, her moving on with her life and totally forgetting about my milkshake. 30 minutes later!!!! We have to go ask if they're going to be able to make the shake, again inconveniencing the staff. The shake was so runny and disgusting. Same goes for the burgers. I've had better burgers. Much better. They have these fancy Coca-Cola machines that are supposed to spit out "hundreds" of flavors of soda, but they were out of most of the syrups and flavorings, so I was not impressed. I do appreciate the cleanliness of this place. It's spotless. The free peanuts are also a nice touch. Five Guys, you've become my current food obsession. I just wish you were healthier! My sister lives in Phoenix and has been bugging me for months to go to Five Guys. The closest one was quite far away from my house so when I saw there was a Five Guys moving closer to me, trying it was one of the first things on my to do list. First off, the location is great! You can't get a better spot on DeZavala. The parking is great. Out of all the times I've been here, I've never had an issue with parking. When you walk in the restaurant, you have to order your food with the cashier, they give you a number and your food comes out shortly thereafter. The prices are definitely reasonable but aren't really that cheap. Don't be expecting McDonald's quality burgers and fries here, because it's way, way better! For three people (two adults and one kid) it cost us $25 which really isn't that bad at all for what you're getting. The customer service was really great. Everyone was really welcoming and friendly. The first time I went to five guys, I ordered a large fry and expecting it to be enough for myself only, when the other people in my party wanted to order more fries, she quickly told us the large fry could feed 3-4 people and she didn't think we needed to buy it. I'm glad she told us, otherwise we would've had a crapload of fries we had to throw away!! Now on to the food. The burgers are GREAT! When you're ordering, YOU get to choose what you want on your burger. You don't automatically have lettuce, tomato and onion on your burger - you get what YOU want. I love that. The fries are freaking amazing. Arturo said how he doesn't like the way the fries are made or taste, but I have to say - I absolutely LOVE the fries. Put some extra salt and some malt vinegar on top and you are set!! Dining area is extremely clean. Someone is always walking around to see if you need anything and I love that. You also get complimentary peanuts while you wait which is another bonus. Like I said, this has become one of my current food obsessions and I'm going to tell everyone how fantastic it is, because it totally is!!! I'm a fan of 5 Guys ever since I first tried it on a whim during a trip to Baltimore. Let's not get shit twisted. It's a burger joint, not a fine dining establishment. It's reasonably priced, though I can see why people would quibble when everything comes out to over $10. Meh. I think it's worth it but to each his own. Their burger is just a burger, and a tasty one at that. They have all sorts of toppings you can add on so go for it. I'm a simple dude, so I don't go overboard with the stuff. Another reviewer said the fries weren't that good. I'd strongly disagree. Their cajun fries are delicious. What's more is that they'll give you an overflowing cup of fries (and then some) in a brown paper bag along with your burger. You seriously get a lot of fries here. One cool quirk: in addition to the regular condiments, they always have a bottle or three of malt vinegar to put on your fries for all of you northerners. read more
