DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. Bought a car and the heater wasn't working. It also had a oil leak. Took it back they ordered the part for heater and couldn't find oil leak. Really, it was still leaking took it back they had the car for a week. Heater was fixed, still leaking oil. Now the value cover is cracked, ih wait it has been for awhile. They wouldnt even call us back. The warranty will not cover anything, even though we were told it would. The cost to fix the car is half of the value of the car. I finally get a call back from them and they can fix it cheaper. No discount, no sorry we screwed you, no help at all. Here is the thing, if you didn't find the oil leak before what makes me believe you can find it now... oh money. Money that we don't have. I was laid off of work for the Covid 19. So we have. Payment, no working car, and no job. It is really disappointing that we could have went elsewhere and didn't. MY BAD. It will not happen again. Bruce and Tim at 5 Star Cars couldn't have made car buying easier. I was expecting sales pitches and pandering. This was absolutely not the case at 5 Star Cars. My wife saw a Touareg she liked, and they sent us out for a test drive in a fashion I would deem an honor system. It was like a good buddy of yours tossing you the keys so you could run up to the store. The trust they demonstrated, with a simple test drive, gave me the instant sense that these guys were trustworthy and honest themselves. My wife loved the Touareg, so Tim got to work. He put in the time to get us financed, with what we had for a down payment. It was a challenge, but he got us there and couldn't have made it easier for us. Very down to earth guys that TRULY have a passion for selling higher end cars in an honest, comfortable, and laid back fashion; while clearly taking pride in the business they conduct. So, here's where it gets good. Two days after buying the Touareg, we came outside to find a puddle under the SUV. The power steering system had experienced seal failure and we were losing fluid at such a pace that it couldn't be driven. This problem did NOT exist at the time of purchase. We hadn't yet purchased an extended warranty, and looking through the paperwork, it was clear that this expensive issue wasn't covered. My wife was in tears once I explained that I was 98% sure we were going to be out of pocket and her Touareg would be in a shop for a few days at least. I threw a Hail Mary and went back in and explained what was wrong to Bruce. I expected him to say what he had every right to say; that it's not covered and there's nothing he can do. Something along those lines. He blew me away by his concern and genuine apology; an apology he absolutely didn't owe. He then demanded I let him take care of it after only a minute of my explanation, as he tossed me keys to another car on the lot as a loaner. I couldn't believe it. He took COMPLETE care of it. Paid his mechanic (great, honest guy; and that's coming from a certified technician and a critical aerospace machinist), paid for parts, and had it back to us within 24 hours. He paid every penny. We were in disbelief and learned that integrity does still exist. I even tried to force cash on them to cover fuel in the loaner vehicle. They said no, and that it should go towards going out to dinner. 5 Star Cars is a humble, professional, down to earth, and and top shelf dealership that holds itself to 5 star standards. EVERYTHING they sell is in beautiful condition, and exceptionally clean inside and out. The Touareg came with thorough mechanic's report, carfax, and even a couple high quality embroidered hats. Sadly, we have to share that the car 5 Star sold our son required $3700.00 worth of work a week after purchase. None of it was covered by the "warranty" and they did not offer to help in any way. They do seem like lovely people. But, a reminder not to be fooled by that. I would rather buy a good car from a jackass than a sh** box from a "nice guy". Absolutely horrible . Called in to ask if a car was available . The guy said it was. Drove all the way up there from Phoenix and was greeted by a " salesperson" if you would even call them that.
