He asked first about whether our residence was in an HOA / had a community management board, and that they should take care of common area treatment free of cost. He also gave me a call to talk through DIY steps we could take in the meantime such as multiple types of ant baits, clean up, and how to kill the ant trails to slow them down. I called Howard on a Tuesday and he agreed to come out the next day to take a look. After inspecting the property and seeing the existing traps, instead of trying to sell us on an expensive treatment plan, he pointed out the things we could've done ourselves to both stop the rats from coming inside the house and catch them. I contacted Howard for services for two units at the building I manage. At first he was professional and responsive in regards to scheduling. I left cash on-site and both units open. I called him several times to discuss the service there after and he refused to answer or respond to my calls and text. I went on-site and the cash was removed with no confirmation that services were completed or when completed, so that I could let my tenant know when it was safe to return to the unit.there were also live roaches when I did return to the building to check the unit. I live in an apartment complex that contracts out to 5 Star Pest Control. This company was not my choice. They came out to my apartment to remove wasp/hornet nests. They successfully removed the nests from the porch but not the massive one in the tree that the wasp/hornets had constructed. They did come out a second time and try to remedy the situation but the maintenance workers had already took care of the problem. "A" for effort. A big "F" for knocking on my door like they were the police and missing the mother nest. Be mindful of peoples space. I recently noticed a creepy ass insect nest being constructed on my porch, just above my front door. One day it was a brown clump in the corner with a frighteningly specific tube, and the next that tube was closed. That proved to me that some sort of evil was busily hatching inside. After not being able to ignore it for longer than a week, I resorted to the hell called google images. My tireless investigation of 25 seconds taught me that it was probably a nest for mud wasps. Had a very bad ant infestation in our home. It was pretty awful ....they were in our laundry hampers, coming out of the sink, in the trash and even trying to get in to our fridge.
