This massage experience was not for the books. I had such a great first experience but not this time. The room is segmented with curtains but the spot I was in was very bright and I didn't feel comfortable at all. Especially with the sheer curtains. I had male massage therapist which I usually don't mind but with the new setting this time was not pleasant. There was also a dog barking constantly in the next suite and could be heard through the walls. The front receptionist was an older man that was not friendly and did not provide good customer service. My first experience was in a private/separate room which I had called in advance to reserve but didn't end up getting. Alan was off today but Alan does an amazing job. My back has been hurting after sitting in the car for 8 hours to Vegas. Last minute I decided to get a massage, I called in and they schedule me within the next hour (YASS!!). Just moved into the area from a 1 story to a 3 story home and those new flight of stairs really got to my legs. I was exploring Yelp for good massages and Five Star Spa came highly rated. Called in to make an appointment for 2 people to get 40 mins reflexology. With the reflexology it comes with a head, arms, neck massage first and then foot and legs. I was really ticklish for the neck and quads so maybe next time I will ask if we can skip that. I really enjoyed the hand massage and the foot massage. I even feel asleep for a few minutes during the foot massage. Another customer started to snore nearby so they were really relaxed. The parking lot has lots of parking and I had no problem finding parking but I heard the lot can get busy. I would definitely come back and try the combo. read more

If you have soreness or pains, you need to check this place out! I'm a side sleeper and sometimes I sleep in really odd positions and end up with neck/shoulder pains. I've had a lot of tenseness in my right shoulder for the past 3 days. I randomly called in for same day appointment not expecting much. Asked for deep tissue massage and ended up being one of the best massages I've ever had in my entire life. I just got out of my massage and I'm currently feeling like the most tender piece of buttery meat ever. The pain and soreness in my neck/shoulder went away and I feel like I have more mobility. The female masseuse is a small lady but she has some crazy pressure in her hands and arms! Make sure you let them know what area you'd like to focus on let them know female or male preference! 60 min deep tissue is $51 but if you pay cash then it's $49. Recommended tip $15-20. Pretty good deal!!! Most places charge at least $70 without tip for a 60 min massage. read more

Ended 5 mins earlier than it should have. They didn't wipe the oil off my arms shoulders, so I had to and it ended up on my shirt. Felt rushed when I was taken to the table-- masseuse walked in while I was still getting undressed, and again when I was getting dressed. Because of the open floor concept, lots of background noise. Massage: pressure was very strong-- my preference, but I can see how it'd be too hard for many. Masseuse did ask me twice how the pressure was, so if you're not a fan, speak up. Ask for Alan! I've had him twice for my massages at Five Star and he is the best masseuse. I went in today with a very stiff neck on my left side and now I can actually turn my head. Alan took the time to really get my knots out and helped me feel relaxed. He's got really strong grip and great massage techniques. I walked out of there feeling like I had a new body. Usually, I would keep this sort of info to myself but I want to make sure Alan gets the attention he deserves so that he'll stick around for longer. Another five star review for five star spa. Visited today for a 1 hour deep tissue and cranial massage for relief from a monster TMJ headache. Lily is absolutely amazing. One of the best facial massages of my lifetime. I was in extreme pain and she aggressively went right into problem areas with incredible strength. I strongly recommend five star spa. $51 for a 60 min full body massage and well worth the price! I called for a last-minute and same day appointment with no problems. I was taken to an area in the treatment room that was secluded, where the bed was surrounded 360 degrees by floor-to-ceiling curtains where I could remove my clothing for the massage. It was very very similar to a private room, and I felt comfortable. The massage itself was great, and my masseuse checked with me that the pressure was right. It was a little too hard and he quickly adjusted accordingly. My only complaint was that they don't do your feet for the 60 min body massage. read more

Great spot for a massage. If there's no answer when you call, don't worry because they will call you back asap. Been a few times now and left satisfied. Prices are very reasonable. Service is good. Ambiance is super mellow. Parking can be a bit frustrating since there's only one way in and out but just plan ahead. Would only suggest that the foot soak tubs be an oblong shape instead of round. Just got back from 90 min deep tissue massage, to help with a strained shoulder (from pull-ups and bouldering, felt like a nerve pain) Told the masseuse what was going on and he started right away. For the next 60 minutes he worked on that shoulder like he was digging for gold. The pain was almost unbearable (had to stop him a few times) but he kept saying "tomorrow it will feel 100% better" and as I am typing this review, I can lift my arm up over and around my head 100% more than I did this morning. Don't feel any nerve pain when moving my arm around. He helped loosen all my tight muscles on the top part of my shoulder as well as right inside my armpit area. This is my go to massage place especially since I do hair for a living my body gets really sore. I got to Lily when I just want to relax and she does a good oil massage! Her pressure is perfect! When my body is really sore I go to Allen because he does some crazy stretches and my body is cracking all over the place and knows exactly where all the problem areas are! I had been feeling super tense for months and the aching in my neck and shoulders was really starting to get unbearable. My friend called and was able to book spots for us today and I got my first massage (ever!) today. Having never gotten a massage before, I had no idea what the differences were between the various types offered. I did a quick search and opted for the Deep Tissue. I was a bit worried that it might be too intense for a first timer, but my masseuse worked with me to find the right amount of pressure. He was so professional and absolutely AMAZING. He worked out all of the knots in my neck and shoulders and in other areas that I didn't know I even needed. I wish I got his name, but I was so relaxed and kind of in a blissful daze that I forgot to ask. The facility is very clean and prices are more than reasonable. The masseuse didn't speak much English so I didn't want to bother them... And in the end I wasn't charged for it so it was okay. I would have just liked the extra add on for more relaxation for my poor feet. Anyways for the Reflexology service here they start you off laying face up on the massage bed while you soak your feet in warm water. They proceed to massage your face and scalp, neck and shoulders, and then your arms while your feet soak. Afterwards they get to your feet and really spend a good amount of time on it. I felt that the masseuse had great technique but I just wished there was more pressure. Unlike my other reflexology experiences, they do not massage too much of your back here. My masseuse was really odd and unfriendly. They were like okay, you're done... *walk away* They didn't offer water or ask me how I am feeling like other places who also barely speak English... I left the tip with the front. I can see myself coming back here since the massage therapist are certified with the CA Massage Therapy Council certification alongside their awareness of authentic Chinese Reflexology, but I would definitely try a different massage therapist on my next visit. read more

It was so relaxing, I got the 90 minute combo, and wow I loved the guy named Leo!!! He provided just the right pressure in all the right areas. He was giggling at the sounds I would make lol but it's because the massage was so good I felt all the stress demons were being slayed and coming out of me through those noises lol. I won't leave 5 starts only because I wish they would be a bit more quiet or at least have relaxing music playing so that we don't have to hear all the noise going around. Also I feel it would of been nice if they would have offered me some water when I finished as I was thirsty after the massage. The customer service on the back end was very helpful and you can tell they care about their practice and customers. The booking process was super easy and we got in the same day for a couple's massage. The place is very clean and calm. I got a full body Swedish massage. My massage therapist was great! With her tiny but strong hands she was able to find every single hurting spot and work it through. I really liked her technique and enjoyed the process. Five starts! On a side note, I wanted to add that it was a bit cold for me there. It is understandable that it's a big room for everyone and it won't be possible to control the temperature. I did the C1 Combo $35 (20 min neck/shoulders/back/leg, 15 min head/arms/back, and 25 min feet) which I highly recommend since it is more of your typical reflexology experience. I had Jung as my masseuse and he did a very good job and the foot massage part was great. I liked that he would check on me every now and then to see how I was doing. Overall it's a good option for reflexology in Irvine when you don't want to drive all the way to Westminster. The only thing that would make it even better is if the temperature was a little warmer and the lights were darker. I had Steven during my appointment and he was GREAT!! I work in the emergency room and working during the pandemic in a high stress environment really takes a toll. Luckily I had some free time so I thought a massage was well needed. I was able to get a private room and Steven was very accommodating. I've had a lot of massages in my life and even went to massage school and there is no way that a lot of these therapist went through the proper schooling. From draping to technique to checking in with your client to creating a relaxing environment is really wrong.
