Do Not go there if you have any issues related to headlights. They installed new headlights. They put in bulbs that were brighter than the factory bulbs. The bulbs were not installed properly. Couldn't see anything! So they adjusted them, and it seemed to be ok. The bulbs went out about 8 weeks later. One went out and a few days later the other went out. When the first one went out, they allegedly "ordered the same bulb" and switched it out. They were never able to provide any evidence of ordering the bulb. Before driving away, I informed the service person that it was not the same whiter color as the other one. He pulled it back in and they said it was the same bulb and did not need additional adjustment. That night, I sent photos and a video showing that the bulb was dim and not aimed out to see ahead. It was aimed at the ground. Then, the other one went out. So I had one dim, improperly installed bulb and one that was out. They told me it was the bulbs. Of all the bulbs manufactured, I got not one, but TWO bad bulbs....that magically go out at virtually the same time. So I bought more bulbs. I bought bulbs from a different brand and a different supplier. Although, professionals have told me that this indicates that the new headlights they installed might not have been wired or installed properly. They wait weeks (while I have to rent a car because it gets dark at 5pm and I have no headlights) to then tell me that they refuse to install the new bulbs. They will only install Subaru bulbs....which was the problem from the beginning. Subaru bulbs are known to be dim. So they basically told me to go somewhere else. Bottom line-- they don't know what they're doing. After probably 6-8 visits for brand new headlights that they installed, I have no working headlights. Marcus Procter does not respond to customers' concerns, so if you have any issues, don't bother emailing him as they suggest. read more

I highly recommend! A car purchase was not an easy venture for me, i visited several dealerships to try and get the right combination if trim, color, and model. I had gotten everything I asked for from the beginning at subaru Grapevine but was too hesitant to make the purchase too soon. I ended up making a mistake and buying my subaru from a different dealer who swore to me I was getting an amazing deal- which I did not at all. My experience at Grapevine was much better. John Mosqueda was honest and transparent and he didnt make false claims. Let me start off by saying, no one actually enjoys purchasing a car... picking one out, learning about all the neat features, test driving it, yes, but actually trying to interact with a salesman and purchase it, no. Sam Pack's truly changed my mind about my negative feelings about buying a car. I started out like most folks do, on the internet. I reached out for a "get today's price" email and fully expected to be nearly harassed to the point of not even wanting to come in. But I was pleasantly surprised when the follow up emails were basically the internet salesman (Darrell) asking basic questions and asking if I'd like to come in after a few back and forth emails explaining what I wanted and such, as well as a customer experience assistant (Marsha) making sure that I was contacted and all my questions were answered. When I actually made it into the dealership for a test drive, I wasn't pounced on like a gazelle parading through a pack of lions (again a slight exaggeration we can all have about car dealerships). Darrell happened to be tied up so he introduced me to Jon who immediately began to ask me what I was interested in driving. Jon was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered my questions. After a test drive and determining I actually liked the vehicle he was very helpful in explaining my financing options. I was nervous as my credit is not so great, but he was very patient and informative about my options, leasing vs. financing, etc. and when we finally settled on something I was comfortable with, here comes along the actual finance part. Brian was great! What a happy fellow! He really went above and beyond my expectations and gave me a happy little Christmas present making me the proud new owner of a crosstrek! When I totaled my car, I was not looking forward to the car buying experience. I had heard horror stories from people about how awful it is to deal with car salesmen and dealerships... That was NOT my experience. I reached out to the dealership via USAA and promptly received a call from Dustin. I told him I was just looking and was still waiting for more details from USAA about my car. Dustin said to let him know when I was ready to come check out cars and he'd be happy to help me with the process. Here is why I bought from him: He didn't call me every day. He didn't blowup my email. He patiently waited until I contacted him. If only every dealership could be like this!!! I was getting 50 calls a day from dealerships and Dustin was the only one who wasn't hassling me. Throughout the process, Dustin and his co-worker Phillip walked me through every step. Aware that I was new to the car buying scene, they carefully explained everything to me and did not try to mislead or trick me into buying something I did not want. They carefully went over pricing with me and ended up giving me a 2019 Forester Limited at cost! They had to order one for me but they kept me updated on its delivery date and even sent me pictures when it arrived. On top of all this, they let me bring my dog into the dealership, offered him water and even let him get into the cars to see how they would work for him. They also gave him a Subaru leash! I cannot day enough good things about this dealership and Dustin and Phillip. If I ever need another car, I will absolutely come back to Five Star Subaru in a heartbeat! The service manager, Marcus, reached out to me today to genuinely apologize for the poor service I received on my last visit. He offered for me to bring the vehicle back in and said he would personally see to it that the work would be completed entirely. I appreciated the offer, but I declined as Sewell Subaru will be the servicing dealer moving forward. I cannot count on Marcus to always be on site to ensure that my service is done correctly, so I just can't bring my vehicle back to Five Star in good conscience. Another excellent experience with this dealer. Landon once again was a great representative of Subaru. He knows the vehicles' features and has followed the brand for years. He explains changes that Subaru has made and features that may be on the horizon. He doesn't engage in sales pressure, but lets the product speak for itself. Not only was the price on our new vehicle good, but the trade in value for the car we were giving up was fair (we did lots of checking around). We highly recommend the Subaru brand. Subarus are justifiably known for being safe, durable, and sporty. Our children enjoy their Subarus, and we like the safety they provide. If you are more mature buyers like we are, you can find really nice features on Subarus that rival the bells and whistles of vehicles at much higher price points (again, we comparison-shopped a lot). We also are big fans of this dealership. They always seem to hit just the right note. Everyone we've met there was pleasant and informative but not high pressure. The service department has been really efficient. We cannot say enough about Landon's enthusiasm for Subarus, his brand knowledge, and his overall great attitude toward customer service. K so first off, I love Subarus. I grew up with Ford and had a little Honda for six years, and now I definitely drank the Subie Kool-Aid. I bought my first Subaru in Fort Worth- good experience. Had it serviced once at Subaru in Denton - not so good experience. Thankfully Five Star Subaru in Grapevine opened. I'm home!! Every time I bring my car in to use my awesome maintenance package oil changes and upkeep, I have a 10 on a 10 scale experience. Great people, great atmosphere, great service. Wild hair last month, I traded my Crosstrek in for a slick new WRX. Vic Alicea was my sales consultant. He was FUN, smart, real and super engaging. Vic did NOT push me, which I totally appreciate. In fact - He let me test drive this beautiful beast and then sent me away to think about it. Left me wanting more! Of course I came back - It's a WRX. And I got an excellent price!!!! Brian Button was my money contract guy - again very smart, efficient, charming and not interested in games. Finishing up, Vic explained all the details of my car to me. Vic made sure I got the emails he already sent to me and made sure I knew how to contact someone for help if I needed it. We had the most positive experience at Five Star Subaru that I have ever had buying a car. I contacted internet sales and was connected with Dustin Cox who quickly responded to all of my emails and even located the exact color and trim level we wanted. He communicated the price to us (which stayed the same throughout the entire transaction). We set an appointment to come and drive the Outback that he located. During this drive they looked over our trade (which we had sent pictures of and got a value on already) after the drive, Dustin told us they would honor the value of our trade that we had agreed upon. EVERY single number stayed exactly the same as he said they would be during the whole time...there was absolutely no back and forth and Dustin was honest in every communication we had with him. Bill in financing was amazing with NO high pressure, just information and he let us choose exactly what we wanted and didn't stick us with anything we didn't want. We left very happy on that Saturday. As soon as we got home we began talking about how my wife also needed a new vehicle and how much she loved my Outback. I quickly got on the website and found the one she wanted and went through the process with Dustin again. I found the process even smoother the second time and by Tuesday evening we had another Subaru Outback from Five Star!! Freddy helped us in financing this time and we had the same experience with him...the transaction was fast and easy. We left the dealership smiling once again. We were in Texas visiting our daughter. We went to look at cars and after talking to a great sales person (Jeremy) we decided to purchase a car. We live in Colorado and have purchased out of state before. We hate the process anywhere! The salesman was great. The deal we got was acceptable but not great but we chose to purchase. No one told us that they do not promise follow thru on out of state purchases. Our temporary plates expired with no word. When we called they had no process to check what happened. We had to buy our own extension plates. They did not rectify our account and the taxes and plate fees they collected for Colorado for 3 months- and only then when I spent 2 hours of my own time prodding. The manager returned a call to me and was one of the rudest people I have ever witnessed. She pretty much tried to blame her employees and then told me that when I decided to buy out of state they don't guarantee anything- very much implying I had no right to customer service. She called me on speaker phone (rude) and called me by the wrong name implying she hadn't even researched the problem! Do not purchase there if you are from out of state!!!! We love the car but 5 star is about appearances not follow-up customer care!!!! A ruder manager could not be found. read more

I'm sure the 4 & 5 star reviews are from folks whom have either never purchased a vehicle before - or - have limited experience in what a truly outstanding sales experience should be. This dealership is average in their performance - both in sales & customer experience. Having purchased vehicles every two to three years across the DFW area in the past 11 years - I've experienced average customer service & this dealership is NO different then any other. My first purchase was a 2018 Crosstrek - traded a 2015 Ford F-150 - the entire transaction & follow-up - average. Went to lease a second 2018 Crosstrek - chased & chased both the sales person & even the sales mgr - left multiple voicemails - the sales person returned one call - but never did either return my calls to allow us to at least set a "budget" payment for a lease - wasn't until we went to the dealership in person that we managed to work out a lease agreement that fit our budget & the ONLY reason I even bothered going back was - I just couldn't drive into downtown Dallas to Sewell Subaru - whom - just from talking to them on the phone - I wanted to - but - I drive into Dallas 5 days a week & getting my sweet beautiful bride whom I dearly love - to drive from her work in Lewisville - into Dallas @5pm was just far to cruel todo ... Getting back to the lease transaction - after much ado - the dealership told us they would cover the first months lease payment - as of today - our lease account was 6 days PAST due - called Subaru Finance - they don't see a payment coming from the dealership - I had to make the payment to make the account current. Called the dealership finance group - naturally - the call went to voice mail - still waiting for a call back ... Thus & in closing - I'm sorry - but with two sales transactions at this dealership - there hasn't been a single outstanding "wow" moment - the only decent part - free car washes - which EVERY dealership in the greater DFW area offers - so - again just "average" in my books. read more

They didn't try and load me full of unnecessary "tune ups," They got me set up with a loaner car effortlessly, and it really just felt that Ryan went above and beyond to make your experience nothing but remarkable. We had to find a replacement for our 13 year old Saab wagon, a very difficult task since station wagons are all but nonexistent today. We narrowed our search to vehicles with easy ingress and egress for a woman, resulting in two, one being the Suburu Outback. I contacted five dealers and, after a week of wheeling and dealing, chose Subaru of Grapevine, which is also the closest to our residence. They matched the best price I'd found, but what really made the experience a pleasure was the treatment we received at the dealership. Needless to say they wanted to sell us a car, but their actions were always polite and professional, without the proverbial 'car salesman pressure'. We have recently started looking into Subaru's... more specifically the WRX Base or Premium with a price point of about $26k. We went to the Subaru of Grapevine about 1 pm on July 4th with expectations of learning about Subaru (we have never owned), test drive, and buy if numbers aligned! :) When we pulled into the parking lot and exited our vehicle we were greeted quickly by a sales person, Dee. She asked if we had an appointment, we did not, so we directed us into the building and to her office to learn more. She was warm and friendly - even asking if we wanted a beverage. Once we went through the dialogue of what we were looking for; no specific color, just wanted Manual and about 26K in price... to drive. She looked on their website and saw that nothing matched our criteria but thought they did, so asked if we would go and 'walk the lot' - excited we agreed. Once outside we confirmed that there was nothing on the lot that was an exact match; they did have a Manual at a price point a little above our initial goal price. At this time I asked if we could test drive this as we know virtually nothing about Subaru and Dee said no because this one was out of our price goal. (odd, ... ok) So, at this point walking back in she began to ask some crucial open-ended questions (great) about trade-in and vehicle use. She also spoke about comparing other dealer inventory to find the exact WRX that we wanted... and would check with the "manager." After a few moments, she came back to tell us that there is no car around that matches our 2 requirements but the "manager" would work with us on the one in the lot currently. She said the best case was 30k ... which was higher than we would be willing (not able) to make a move on. There was some additional small talk about what little knowledge we had of Subaru's and what we were really looking to get from/utilize the WRX for. The dialogue was fair, but we could sense that the meeting was at the end. So, I asked point blank - again; about test driving the vehicle because how are we supposed to know what "real budget" we would want to pay if we had never driven a WRX Manual? Dee responded that the dealership does not allow people to drive cars unless they have committed to purchase them. How are you supposed to commit to buying something over $100 if you haven't had a chance to touch, feel, smell, sample, etc?! This was mind blowing to us. She continued by stating that even at 52 years old she would want to go fast in the WRX and they don't want the cars to be flogged. At this point, we thanked her and left the dealership. We felt deflated and as we if had no worth to the dealership ... to even get a test drive. We are both college educated 30 somethings with Corp jobs... we own a home and more than 2 vehicles each. There was ZERO reason that we could not have been on a test drive... even if Dee was to drive and discuss the features of the car. There was no inclement weather, wasn't near closing time, both carried valid drivers licenses, and both with plenty of money/credit to use. *Update* Upon researching, www.cars.com there is an exact match (to our criteria) located at Subaru of Plano and about 12 matches in the Houston area. So, there appears to be multiple service issues with our visit. Be careful who you visit with at the dealership... read more

I'll start with that I've been bringing my car here since I've had it and never had all of these issues at once. I thought everyone was nice and new there stuff. Going on a month ago I brought my car in for new tires to be mounted and installed and a simple oil change. I had class that day an I was insured that I would be done well before that. Well I was late. They put the wrong tires on the car, damaged my brand new rim that I just bought that same day and tossed my old tires that I specifically said I wanted to keep for another set of rims. I was patient and I was given one of the service writers word to make it right. I was promised another set of tires since they tossed my old ones and still waiting for compensation for my new rim that was carelessly damaged by the tire tech. Then when I constantly check on the status of what's going on the staff made it seem like I was a hassle and blew me off. I ask questions about the status and no answer but when I said I was going to go higher and complain then I get a response. It's unfortunate that I have to write a negative review but I've been more than patient. I've spent thousands of dollars at this service center but I don't think I will be returning for any kind of service once we are all squared up. I've even spoken highly to other subaru ambassadors and car enthusiast but I can no longer do that again. I will repost another review if and when compensated for my wheels and rim. read more
