Awesome!!!! I am definitely giving these guys five well deserved stars! I had my car towed to this location since it was one of recommended collision repair shops from my insurance company. I had rear ended someone in the morning and rendered my car not driveable. After waiting a few long days for the estimate, a received a call from Fix Auto with the bad news that my car will most likely be considered totaled after my insurance company receives their estimate. I immediately became saddened upon hearing this terrible news over a simple fender-bender. However, with today's hybrid systems and the costly repairs, insurance companies will most likely consider the cost of repairs over the actual blue book cost of the vehicle and will have the car totaled. I cannot and could not afford to lose my car. After calming down from the terrible news, I called my insurance company and begged them to please reconsider not totaling my car that I just recently purchased. My insurance company said they will need to review the total cost of repairs and will need to get back to me. So, I prayed about it and waited. And prayed some more and waited. Then one day, Kyle at Fix Auto called with the Awesome news that they were able to work with my insurance company and will be able to repair my car!!! However, it will take 3 or more weeks, which was fine with me! I thanked Kyle so much for being able to pull this one off to get my car fixed. Power of prayer. After waiting for 3 weeks, Kyle and his team had my car looking and running good as new!! I went into the office, paid my insurance deductible, and Kyle walked me to my Prius. So what did I need done? I needed my passenger side mirror replaced What Happened? I got introduced to one of the workers there and I showed him my car. He wrote down the VIN number of my car and we went to his desk. At his desk he began to search on his computer mirrors that would match my VIN. He also asked me if the car had heated mirrors, I honestly wasn't sure. He wasn't sure either so he started to give me some estimates using the VIN number he looked up the mirrors that would go with the car and showed me the one with the non heated mirrors. It was cheap, like 180 dollars after labor, so I said lets go for it! They stayed in touch with me and set up an appointment for returning the car to me and it was pretty organized, so thats a plus on their part. Although when I was told to come in to pick up the car, the worker told me that the mirror came out to be more expensive since he ordered the one with the heated mirrors. Apparently he ordered based off of whatever the VIN was. That makes sense tbh. The VIN has all the information he needs, although he never really communicated that information accurately to me. I thought "oh 180 dollars, thats a good price!" and then when I got back, it was like 500 dollars. So I felt like I got tricked. If I knew it was that much I would shopped elsewhere. So I just took it, they did the labor, the did the work, nothing I can do about it. I think they coulda done a lot better job communicating the cost to me though. The Result: The mirror was replaced, and since it was a mirror with a lane view camera I went to test the camera out and it wasn't calibrated. The person that helped me did not realize it wasn't working which points out that they did not test the vehicle functions. So the mirror was replaced, but the rear view mirror camera is not functioning. They said I would have to take it into the car dealer to get it fixed and that would cost more money. So I said screw it, I will try to fix it myself. A simple youtube video later, and I found a solution. They could of done the same thing, but they didn't. So I see negligence and laziness from my interaction here. I wish I could give them a better review, but I feel kinda screwed on this and well I will take the hit for y'all, and you can know from my experience. I would not recommend going here. Sure it could of been some mistakes here and there, thats fine, but the fact that he didn't even test the camera or do one simple call or youtube search or something to calibrate the camera is kinda what really pushed me over. read more

Very professional service here and glad to have entrusted my car to a great shop. Came in after hitting a runaway tire on the road and having damage done to my front bumper, fender, and undercarriage, but now my car is in tip top shape! They also communicated with my rental company to extend my release period while my car was in the shop so there were no issues from that viewpoint. My work van (which was side swiped by a person with vision issues)received the same prompt service from their Alameda location. I received an accurate quote from Kyle, and a fair price to fix a couple other issues not included in the accident. They were fast at getting back to me to schedule a quote. I've brought two vehicles here. My Acura MDX was rear ended around 6 years back, and the most recent on my Infiniti - a hit and run on the corner of the front bumper. My cars seem to have a target symbol on them =/ Anyway, after the hit and run, I already knew I wanted to take my car here since my first experience was smooth. Everyone is very friendly in person or on the phone and you're always acknowledged once you pull in. I also received text alerts with the status of my car every step of the way. The work on the Infiniti bumper is clean. When we purchased the car used months back, it had a huge scuff on the other end of the bumper, and they cleaned that up too! The car was ready earlier than expected and pick up was just as smooth as a drop off. Since I had a repair here in the past that involved my door panel being removed they would look into it and if it was no damage it would have been covered and no cost. However, my motor to my windows went bad. Things were timely done and the customer service was amazing! Some asshat keyed our car a few weeks ago. It wasn't the run of the mill keying (one line down the length of the car), this was sort of hieroglyphical in nature, very dense and intense, in a 1 foot by 6 inch patch on the driver's side door. Turns out vandalism is covered on my auto insurance policy, so for the Vandalism deductible ($100!), I could get the damage repaired. AAA suggested Alameda Collision Repair (just a block or two from my cheese and wine shop), and I dropped the car off. They were friendly as pie, and arranged for a rental car to be delivered to my shop, They had the car looking better than new (truly - they detailed the entire car, and it looked like a million bucks), as promised, three days later. We took are car here in mid November. ACR did a good job at fixing the damage. The staff was helpful and friendly. It took 1-2 day long then estimated time but that was OK. The i didn't give them a 5 star because, -I had a little paint on the window, I guess they didn't tape it off very good -The windshield fluid was disconnected Now i did get a hold of ACR and they could fix it with no problem, i just had to bring the car back.
