I'm wavering between giving this place 3 or 4 stars - maybe a generous 4. My car was recently rear ended, and fortunately, only resulted with a broken tail light and cosmetically damaged bumper. Once I filed the claim, I decided to bring it to FixAuto for their reviews. At the time of the appointment, I was greeted immediately by Gio and the rental car service. Gio inspected it fairly quickly, and gave me an accurate estimate that the tail light would be replaced, but not the bumper unless the tabs attaching them to the rest of the body were damaged. Gio was fairly communicative as far as updating me on the status of my car. You'd think having the tail light done would be fairly quick, but it took up to a week because the tail light arrived damaged not once, but twice. Once my car was finally returned to me, it looked great - tail light fixed, the car's interior was clean and exterior waxed (?) My only qualms were with the length of time it took to complete the task when I've had more work done within a shorter time frame of three days and their method of communication isn't exactly efficient as it's through a computer service. read more

Wow very impressed with my first time using Fix Auto. It's a little bit of a drive for me from Berkeley, but my insurance (State Farm) has them as one of their approved paces after an accident. I was sad because I was supposed to get my car done on Friday but it got pushed to Tuesday because of parts delays. Worst customer service ever. Had an appointment set at 10am. Arrived exactly at 10am. The receptionist told us that the person who was going to help us was in a meeting. She advised us to sit in the waiting area and he would be with us shortly. We sat there for 40 minutes. We were not helped further and were not advised of anything. We had an appointment. We did not walk in. After 40 minutes, we got up and walked out. If you value your time, and want to do business with respectful companies, this is not the place. read more

Great service! I dropped my car off on a Monday, and it was ready by Friday at noon. They even detailed it, which I thought was going above and beyond. My neighbor had backed into my car, leaving dents in my fender and drivers door. Her insurance paid for the fender to be replaced and the door to be buffed out. The car looks way better than it did before it got banged up! I hope I never have to have body work done again, but these guys did a great job, so I wouldn't hesitate coming back here if I had to. There's an Enterprise rental office around the corner, too, so that makes it easy to get something to drive in the meantime. If I could offer one piece of advice to them, however, it would be for them to check in with their customers more often. I called on Thursday afternoon to check that it would still be ready on Friday, and received a call back that it would be ready at 2:30 on Friday. When I called at noon Friday to make sure that was still the case, they said it was actually already ready. I wish they would have called me once on Thursday to let me know the ETA (instead of me calling), and again on Friday when it was finished (instead of me calling to check). read more

5 stars for Fix Auto Alameda! I was referred to them through my insurance company. My car needed servicing after the passenger side view mirror on my car was vandalized. Service was extremely fast and team was very professional and friendly. I brought my car in on a Thurs, and it was finished within 24 hours! Dylan (sp?) and Bella (sp?) were my main contacts and they were fabulous. Pleasant to interact with on the phone and in person. My car was fixed and returned to me sparkling clean. Was pleasantly surprised that they also went above and beyond to clean it so well inside and out. Additionally, the rental car company was down the street within walking distance so it was super convenient. Originally, insurance had me going to a competitor repair shop down the street but that shop wanted me to pay my $500 insurance deductible + an ADDITIONAL $900 to them! I was able to get better service at Fix Auto plus brand new parts for the replacement and repair without having to pay more than just my deductible. I will definitely bring my car back here again if needed, and highly recommend Fix Auto. Thank you for awesome service which can be hard to come by these days. Appreciate it! read more

My experience with Fix Auto Alameda has been nothing but outstanding from start to finish. They have a modern spacious new facility located on Clement Street that is very well equipped and staffed. Ricky was my contact person, who is very professional , organized, friendly, an absolute pleasure to work with. He did the estimate for my honda fit which sustained damage due to collision with a Rav4 on the Nimitz. Damage was to my front bumper, hood, and internal framing and components, which was knocked out of alignment. They were very busy when i took my car in, but within a very reasonable time, Ricky had emailed back to me a detailed estimate item by item breakdown on parts, and labor that needed to be done. During the repair process, Ricky kept me well informed by text every couple days on the progress of the repair. Any delays due to parts availability or additonal damage found he relayed to me by text. I received my vehicle back yesterday as promised, and it looks as beautiful as the day i bought it back in 2016. Their work is absolutely first rate, the panel alignment especially around the hood and side panel is as straight as an arrow. One added advantage of their current location, is that they are located within two blocks of "Enterprise Rental Car" located on Blanding Ave. which makes it super convenient to pickup and dropoff my rental. Solid repair job, works well with insurance. Chose Fix Auto after a recommendation from Geico for repair of a fender bender. Frequent communications between the front office, insurance, and us allowed for updates on repair status as well as no surprise copays or other charges at the end. Only small thing to note is to not ask the front office consultants specific questions about the vehicle repair - ours was unabashedly clueless about an issue that was quickly cleared up by a technician. read more

Back in December 2021 I was in Hayward California and I hit a deer coming down from the hills it was a very tragic experience and in the process of that my car was damaged . And I took it to auto fix of Alameda and they did the assessment and took my car in and every day that it was in I got information from them through a text of how my car was coming along. I love that about this business. The day that my car was done they called me and I went in to pick it up the transaction was seamless and when I saw my car I loved it it was perfect everything came out like it was brand new off the showroom floor. yes I would highly recommend them I give them a 10. If something else happened to my car I hope not but if I did yes I would go back to auto fix most definitely. Driver's side door wouldn't open - both from outside and inside. I took it to 4 different shops in town, and the foreman at this place was the only one who could offer a solution. Everyone else was as puzzled as I was - and they had no clue where to begin. One even suggested that in order to diagnose, he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't damage my door! I drove around Alameda, checked out different places, got different quotes and selected Alameda Collision Repair because I felt the most comfortable with them and with the estimate they gave me. Arthur and Paul were great. They were sympathetic about my accident, but also quick to get an estimate to me. I had to go out of town for two weeks and left the car in their care. After filing the claim with my insurance company the check-in and drop off process was quick and efficient. I worked with Miguel Hernandez who assured me that they would fix the car to pre-accident condition. Had a wonderful experience with Fix Auto Alameda. After my accident, the responsible parties insurance has a contract with Fix Auto of Alameda. I contacted the shop and was met with a warm welcome by the staff. I was able to bring in my car the next day. I met Jennifer, one of the representatives, and she was very nice and helpful. She immediately informed me after quickky surveying the damage that my car would be at least two weeks minimum to fix the damage and offered the arrangement and use of a rental in which I declined, but appreciated.
