I was pleasantly surprised with the huge pastry counter and the great looking collection which tasted just as good when tried. The lunch and hot meals side was typical of the delicious latino varieties of the region. My only complaint would be having staff that only spoke one language (Spanish). It's times like these that I wish I took that fourth year of Spanish in high school. Yes it's Spanish only but the waitress could tell with my broken Spanish and used simpler vocabulary and spoke slower. I appreciate that. The donut was dense. Flaky pastries were crispy. Taste was good. We got the special 6 for 8 dollars, which was communicated to us in Spanish. We finished most the pastries and a piece of cake within ten minutes. Two adults and two kids. Very impressive array of baked goods, cakes, sandwiches and hot food items to choose from! I believe this is a Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican inspired restaurant and bakery, and don't have any experience with this type of food but I was very impressed by how delicious and affordable the food was, especially coming from Denver where I feel like every restaurant is trying to Nickel and Dime you. The staff were super friendly, and some didn't speak much English but still were helpful. The baked goods were amazing and it was hard to choose from the array of choices. The sandwiches, I got the pastrami and they were super delicious. I loved it and it was great, the bread of the sandwich was delicious as well and not some random, hard, stale bread, it had texture to it and crispy outside. What a great addition to the Kissimmee area! I came with so friends to try some of their pastries, and sandwiches. This bakery has plenty of seating and plenty of options to choose from to munch on! I was able to get my hands on their Pastrami sandwich and Media Noche which is HUGE! I was also able to try some of their sweets! Let me tell you something, they are so many options to choose from! Their Tres leche was the first to catch my eye, but then I had to add a red velvet cheesecake, chocolate cake, carrot cake cheesecake, and donut or two! I love this place, it's down the road from my mothers house and every time she visits me, she makes sure to stop there and get me pastelillos along with alcapurrias de yuca. This place does get pretty packed, it is a decent size but the lines can get long so if you want the good stuff, I'd recommend to get there early. The staff have always been nice despite how hectic it can get in there. Their pastries are even delicious, I always order a box filled with a variety and then eat them on the way home lol! Loved the Puerto Rican food. We bought lots of patties and ate a Cuban sandwich and omelet. The only thing that agitated me was that I ordered black coffee and I had to wait for a long time, we had to go back and asked about it. When we finally got my coffee it had milk in it. All of the pastries are in Spanish and the employees spoke little English. The lady that helped me couldn't explain what the pastries were that I pointed at. One of them I pointed at (guava and cheese) and she said "something with cheese" and I said ok I'll take one. When I got home, I found out she grabbed the wrong one and gave me a completely different pastry. Very disappointed when I saw that! Donut with Nutella: the donut was very dry. I thought the donut was going to be filled with nutella but sadly it just had a dollop of nutella in the middle followed by the dry exterior donut on the outside The cheese pastry was not great. Def would have been better if she grabbed the right one with the guava to complement it! The apple pastry was also a big disappointment. The reason I got it was because it was "safe" and hard to screw up. Well they screwed it up! Not much apple flavor at all. The pastries were cheap: $5.50 for all 3. I stopped by for lunch with a friend. Our first time coming to this restaurant. Make sure to wear your mask before entering. The tables are X out. They practice social distancing--a very clean place. As you go on, the right side is where you order the food, and the left side is the bakery. I can't rate the bakery because we did not buy anything. I will try next time. I had the yellow rice with beans, tostones with sweet chicken. My friend has yellow rice with beans and ribs. I have to say the food was delicious; it reminded me of my grandmother's rice. I had to wait 1/2 hour for my Alcapurria. It was worth the wait because that too was good. Lots of meat inside. Good place to stop by and grab some lunch. I have to bring my family over to try. One of my favorite places in Kissimmee. Their tripletas always hit the spot. Too early for one of those? Get a ham egg cheese sandwich the way they serve it in Puerto Rico. On pan sobao! What an interesting experience! Great Bakery choices and even if you are a gringo and don't understand Spanish the staff is friendly and helpful. We had scrambled eggs and breakfast meat (one of us had Bacon and one of us had sausage). Massive pieces of toasted Cuban bread that were fresh and delicious. We were at the end of breakfast so we saw the lunch crowd start to come in and order these massive sandwiches. They look yummy so we will be back to try the Cuban sandwich. The place was packed and although it was noisy it was a great place for people watching. We took six pastry items from the bakery home for later for only $8 that look yummy. I have eaten at Florida bakery a couple of different times and each time I have been impressed with the food. Their chicken empanadas as fresh and delicious brings memories back to my time in Ecuador. They have a whole bakery area with tasty treats from donuts, pastries and cakes. I have no clue if this bakery is good or not, I have friends that say it's amazing. I called and asked if they were allowing sit down service indoors because I would like to have a breakfast meeting and try the food that I've heard is so good. Unfortunately the person who answered clearly only speaks Spanish and I only speak English. Sadly, instead of asking for help the person hung up on me. (Exasperated sigh on the other end tells me it was deliberate) So just a word of warning... Apparently if you speak English you may struggle to dine in this establishment. I plan on going in person and seeing if we can get past the language barrier because that food looks delicious! A great inexpensive lunch spot. The food is seasoned well and not salty. One of the biggest downsides to getting food from the counter at spots like these is that the meat and beans more of them not are loaded with salt. Florida bakery has mastered making flavorful food without a barrel of salt. Two standouts are their cilantro rice and mollejas (gizzards). You could cut the mollejas with a spoon; that is how tender they are! This is my go to lunch spot when I work! Service is quick and the people are friendly. read more

Went to have a simple egg ham and cheese sandwich...after waiting for almos 23 minutes I decided to check on my order, 32, because they were already calling number 37. They gave my sandwich to someone else, that's cool, we all humans and make mistakes. 10 minutes later they handed my sandwich, no apology for the wait, for the mistake, for nothing, fine the manager must be having a bad day. I sat down and when I open up my sandwich it was dripping dark water, bread not toasted, cheese not melted, no butter...a mess, so I went to the cashier, had to wait 5 more minutes because I didn't wanted to wait for another sandwich and at this point I just wanted my money back. Manager came, didn't look me in the eye, I said good morning, no response, tried to make small talk, no response list rolled his eyes, didn't apologize, no a simple sorry for your inconvenience, nothing!!!! I visit this bakery an average of 4 times a week. It is conveniently located between work and home. Breakfast is good, food in general is good. Don't even think about buying donuts for work because the donuts are not ready until past 8:00 am! Great idea! If you want day old or several days old pastries to buy that you will get in the morning, but fresh??? Wait until later. The acoustics are bad, but why consider this when putting music? Let's ramp up the music!! It is so bad and loud that you have to scream your order to the attendant and still she won't be able to hear what you are ordering. And of course , the music is sooo loud that impossible to have a conversation, nope!
