I used to visit Flaco's on occasion when I worked at Cleveland Clinic Florida Naples. I worked nights in the sleep lab, so Flaco's was sort of a breakfast treat of sorts. To date, they have the best Salsa of any Mexican Restaurant I've been anywhere including Mexico and Texas. The fajitas were among my favorite as well. First visit to Flaco's after someone recommended it. I agree with some reviews about the service a little slow. But I disagree with that warranting a 1 star review. We did have to ask for silverware and condiments but both were brought promptly ( sat at the bar ). I had the NY strip and my wife had beef fajitas. I have to say that a NY Strip for $19.95 is a great deal.. I've spent $58 recently at a steak house and it was better but not by much.. We both enjoyed our meals and thought that the value was very good. The restrooms were also very clean. Will definitely be back to try some other items. Oh and the salsa was excellent read more

The service was ok, the location is very nice. It is beautiful inside however, the food was absolutely terrible there was no love in the cooking. I can bet the rice was not good, the beans were not good, my tacos was so watery it made the flour tacos mushy and soggy. Even the water was weird. I hate to give negative reviews, so let me say this, the chips and salsa were good. That is it. If you can avoid this place, you should! Took over 30 minutes to be seated, that's fine, except the hostess was chomping on gum and talking on the phone and ignoring the guests. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order, which was the manager, so I give him props for helping out, they were busy. Another 10 minutes before we saw a waiter, who didn't greet us only said "ready?", took our order and ran off. Did not ask if we wanted another drink, which maybe was a good thing because it was a horribly watered down margarita. Another 40 minutes went by, at this point we had been in the restaurant for about 2 hours, without any more contact from anyone, despite making eye contact with both the manager and the waiter who all seemed too busy to deal with us. Meanwhile, the tables next to us grew equally frustrated from the lack of anyone pre-bussing their tables and being left in stacks of dirty plates. Finally one gentlemen got up and chased down a waiter and made him let him pay at the server station because they had been waiting for so long. We finally grew tired of the ridiculous wait and being ignored by staff so we left money on the table for the one cocktail and left- no idea if our food order was ever even put in. read more

Stopped in the new location Monday night at around 6 o'clock, 20-30 minute wait for inside as it was a little chilly but plenty of seating on the patio which was great, nice atmosphere. I don't like their new location. I feel as though that place is nothing but a filthy uncleaned dust bowl. If you look up you will see chunks of dust just hanging on the light fixtures. Let's just hope a gust of wind doesn't go through there and have it fall in your food. I have been going here for 20 years and have always ordered chips and salsa. Best Mexican in Naples. Service is like you are in a 5-Star restaurant. I have NEVER had a beverage get empty before a refill is brought. They make you feel like part of the family. Superior authentic Mexican experience. The service and food are equally as impressive. My water was never less than 3/4 empty. Everyone is helpful and doesn't over look you because you're not their table like other restaurants. I had 3-5 different people helping at some point during my dining experience. Stopped in with two friends while on a weekend vacation. I had been to Flaco's at their old location and was always very happy with their food and service. The new location is great because we could now eat outside and the service was excellent with very friendly staff and a lot of attention even while outside. I can't stop thinking how good their peach margaritas were - so refreshing on a late June evening!! Food was as good as the old place with plentiful portions, as well as homemade salsa and bowl of chips to start. Taco salad, fajitas and everything else was terrific. We started coming here when they first opened and the food was not bad at all. We were recommending Flaco's to friends and heard from several of them that the wait staff and food was no good at all. This past Sunday we took our daughter and her children there for dinner. I must honestly say something has drastically changed. The service and food was terrible. I guess I would have to blame the management/owners for not getting more involved to protect their investment. Great food! I have been there every single time i have been in Naples for the last 5 years. We recommended the restaurant to many people and they all love it. I recommend sitting outside because it can get noisy inside. Try the Mexican wrap (i prefer chicken but you can also get steak), it was on the menu of their last restaurant but now it's part of the underground menu in their new restaurant or the chicken enchiladas with mole is very good also. Love the food, and have not had service issues in the past but our most recent visit involved a long wait for our food, which was not explained. The food was as good as always - which means excellent. The Flaco's Fajitas were the best fajitas I've had anywhere, hands down. The meat was perfectly cooked - chicken, steak, and shrimp, and well balanced with the peppers and onions. Just typing it I can taste the tender, seasoned meat again and want to go back. But I don't really want to endure the long wait for our food again because I'm hungry. Yes, they're charging for extra chips and salsa - but isn't it OK for them to figure out how to make their business work financially? They do have a cost, and are good - so I'm OK paying for them. There were 7 of us, and each of us enjoyed our meal. Some at our table said the cheese enchilada's were to tie for. And I loved finishing my daughter's beef taco because it was delicious (and yes I was very full after fajitas, that 1/2 taco, and extra chips and salsa - but very satisfied as well.) Reading the other recent reviews noting a downturn in their service - I hope our wait was not another symptom of that because the food remains very good. read more

Flaco's has the best Mexican food hands down. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service was wonderful! The waiters/waitresses were very attentive at refilling beverages and getting you anything you needed. It's a little more upscale than other Mexican restaurants but that's one of the best parts. You can have an elegant atmosphere and still have authentic food. Another thing that was great about Flaco's was the entertainment. They have a mariachi band that walks around and will play for your table. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more
