Great food and service. The filet is always a great choice although everything we have ever tried is good!

This is a very nice Mexican restaurant and the food is good. The service can be slow at times, but if you just enjoy visiting with your friends, it is okay because they give you plenty of time for that. We like the chimichangas and the enchiladas especially. I enjoyed an amazing coconut martini that I can't remember the name of. Several friends had the margaritas. The high ceilings can make it a little noisy when the restaurant is busy, but not all the time. read more

Their new location is now OPEN and it's bigger and better than ever. It has a spacious new outdoor seating area, and an open dining experience inside with a full bar. Happy hour is from 5-7 and the margaritas are flowing! The chips and salsa are organic, and an amazing way to start off your meal. For dinner, the fajitas, enchiladas, and burritos are all to die for and you'll leave stuffed. Went to flaco's for dinner with the family, when we arrived the place wasn't that busy. we were greeted and seated pretty quick, the overall appearance seem to be pretty average for a Mexican restaurant. But most important it looked very clean...after getting the menus within minutes the waiter who to my amazement spoke perfect English - took our drink order. the table ordered white sangria I didn't try it but then again those who did liked it. Well for dinner I ordered the steak with rice and beans and avocado salad. when my order came it looked very good and presentation was nice. Steak(flank) was nice and juicy and not overcooked. Rice and beans were good as well. But, I was still hungry... Portion was somewhat small. So I had to hit on the wife fajitas. that did the trick.. Overall Customer service was very good and food as well. when back in Naples I will dine at Flacos again...almost forgot they will be moving location to a better more modern spot. so call before! read more

After seeing other reviews on Yelp, I was looking forward to it. But burrito was very disappointing. Atmosphere is homey enough, but the food was not good. The chips were bi-color and the guacamole was extremely bland, which gets me thinking neither were house made. I wanted a steak burrito, but the waiter said it's not possible, even after I offered to pay for the steak meal. Obviously not a good experience by the rating. I'd give a zero i I could. The service was awful. One guy was host and server. During season! for Saturday lunch! The food was awful including the guacamole. And they charge you for a tiny serving of salsa about 1/4 cup for your chips. seriously? Margaritas come in water glasses. We will not return again. As Texans transplanted to Florida, we are always on the lookout for tasty Mexican/Latin restaurants. We'd heard Flaco's was good, but our group of 4 people went and were very disappointed. The margaritas tasted like cheap mix, something close to Kool-Aid in flavor. Salsa was pretty decent, but entrees left a lot to be desired. Chimichangas arrived lukewarm at best - we suspect they'd been weakly reheated. A friend described his soft taco/enchilada combo as "bland", and another pointed out that there were no Latinos dining in the restaurant, a sure sign that the food is not that great. We would not recommend this restaurant, but in all fairness it's not too much worse than the other Mexican/Latin restaurants we've sampled thus far in Naples/Bonita/Estero. read more

Horrible on every single level. Had to watch staff eating in kitchen every time service door opened....terrible service....incorrect orders....so loud my head hurts. Horrible service. Waited for a table for 25 min which was no problem. Sat down, got greeted after 15 min. Server took our drink order, drinks never came. Then 20 min later, a different server asked if we wanted to get drinks started... told them we had already ordered drinks but ordered again. Finally got drinks. Ordered our food 15 min later, and the food never got the put in. Our drinks sat empty (we would have been more patient if we had at least our drinks), ordered a round of drinks from 2 different people, one of the servers told us "I didn't take your drink order only your food order" so i asked to get our drinks. Finally got a round after 35 min. One hour and 30 min later our food still never showed up. Asked to cancel the food and for our check then our food magically showed up. They later apologized saying they were short staffed which is understandable - but had 3-4 different people coming to ask us for drinks and food orders but never received them. Then proceeded to get an attitude from the staff when we complained about the wait after 2 hours!!! Watched multiple people complain and leave, watched a table much larger than ours get their food before us and they told us "your food is coming". Sat and waited 2 hours before we got our food..... no manager or owner around. read more

Flaco's was a favorite of mine for years. I ate countless meals with friends and family at the old location. We patiently waited for the new location to open and it was nothing but disappointing. Service was terrible I had to ask for everything: my drink, chips, silverware, where/ if my food was coming? It took at least an hour for one order of steak fajitas. The food quality went downhill, my fajitas were disgustingly over salted. I felt ignored. The new ambiance feels like you are eating in a large commercial car garage, it is very loud and feels cold. I complained to the manager and he was full of excuses instead of giving me simple apology. I am so sad to see my staple Mexican restaurant go downhill. read more

Went here for the first time on a Wednesday (last night) around 9p. It was totally empty and I sat wherever I wanted. Margaritas were good! Salsa served in the beginning was good but the chips were thinner than I would like. Guacamole was good, very simple. Had fish taco which also had shrimp. Totally different and served in a red sauce. Also veggie enchiladas have green beans!!! Service was ok but we did feel a little rushed as they close at 10p and I think the staff really wanted to leave early. Otherwise, pretty good. Very disappointing. Can't compare to the freshness of Chipotle. Salsa was the only good dish we had. My chicken burrito was soggy and tasted microwaved, not freshly made. Rice was tasteless, refried beans were canned. My girlfriend wanted a shredded beef enchilada but they only have beef sliced or chopped meat. She ordered a cheese enchilada and couldn't eat it. She said it was the most expensive grilled cheese sandwich she ever had and it was too soggy to eat. The waiter didn't even ask if there was a problem since we ate hardly any of it. Completely disappointed. Have been coming here for 18 years and loved it, but in the last few years the quality has gone missing. I understand being short staff but it is Easter weekend and to be ignored is uncalled for. We didn't even know who our waiter was. We had one order our drinks ( which took 30 min to receive), one took our order, and one delivered our food. After waiting for our bill and not receiving it, I had to walk to the bar and ask for it. good mexican food with a classy atmosphere. the intro chips and salsa were delicious and authentic. the "los nachos" was good... but not what i expected. there were a ring of 8 doubled up chips around sour cream, guac etc.. and topped with plenty of cheese, chicken/bean? and 2 jalapenos... but again... very tasty. i got the steak fajitas which is just an appetizer ($8)... wow! great! they looked small... but they were delicious. the steak was wonderful. its a clean and upper-scale place. service was good. prices kinda expensive for dinner for just meat and cheese on a tortilla. read more

I want so much to love Flacos but in the end it just didn't deserve more than 3 stars. The ambiance is a bit dated and missing the fun element you find at most Mexican places. Service was slow...very slow. Once the food finally reached us it was excellent - I tried the beef tacos which were delicious and the margaritas were very good. Unfortunately I got the check and couldn't help but wonder why I just paid so much for such a simple meal. Unfortunately this place has gone down hill over the years. The staff and service has always been decent butI haven't see the owner around in years and never really see any manager either. This shows in the quality of the food. It's like the could care less and It doesn't seem fresh. On a hunch we stopped in since they moved locations. Food was awesome and very efficient from seating to service. Found that casual attire meant more then shorts and sports shirts but we did feel comfortable since everyone was so friendly. Will go again for some good Mexican food. Food was good once we got it, but service was terrible. Upon arrival we were shown to an empty booth and brought a bottle of tap water and chips and salsa. We ate the al the salsa and decided to purchase more (only the first serving of chips and salsa is free). We had to flag someone down to take our order and to ask for more chips and salsa. No one ever asked if we wanted drinks, etc. It then took a long time for our food to make it to our table. Another point, the food was EXPENSIVE for what we got. My 3 specialty tacos cost $17. All the rice and beans in the world wouldn't justify that price. The food was decent, but didn't make up for the horrible service nor the expense. This is the best place in Naples for Mexican food. It offers some non-Mexican options, but why would you want to eat anything but Mexican at a Mexican restaurant? The tacos al pastor, the enchiladas, the chimichangas, the black bean soup--take your pick, it will all be good. The meat is always savory and well marinaded. The veggie toppings are always fresh. The guac and salsa are tasty, and the complimentary chips and salsa are good too, and never-ending. The service is always polite, quiet, and attentive. I have eaten there many times and it is always excellent. The waiters stay in the dining area and watch, so it's usually easy to get their attention. The decor is subdued but fun, and sometimes there is live music. It's a retaurant in Naples that has stayed in the same place for years, and it's a Mexican place with Hispanic staff.
