I stopped by here at 12:50pm on a Monday afternoon to grab lunch. I got the regular chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. There was a short wait for veggies. It was $9.34. I got the "magic sauce" to accompany the food. I got my meal to go and ate it when I got home. The bowl was big enough for me to dump the sauce in and shake it around. It was so delicious! I hadn't eaten from here in a while. They do have a $6 mini chicken bowl and fountain drink combo special on weekdays from 2-5pm and all day Saturday. I'll need to remember that as this is close to my house and affordable healthy eating. No complaints! Staff was helpful and friendly! Can't wait to return.

7/10. The food was pretty good. Chicken has a nice sauce on it- but I did unfortunately have multiple very fatty pieces. The veggies and rice are very plain and bland but if you add their simply magic sauce they are SO good. You are able to eat inside the restaurant, but I would recommend getting it to go. They are very quick preparing your order- its a chipotle or chopt type preparation. They have 2 bowl sizes: regular and mini. I got a regular and it was very small- i can't imagine how small the mini is. It was also very expensive for the amount of food you get. $12 before tip for this bowl. Overall their food is good and I would recommend giving it a try.

I was hesitant to try Flame Broiler because I thought it was just another fast food restaurant with unhealthy options... Boy was I wrong! Yes, it is fast food-Esq, similar to Core-Life and Chipotle where you get to the counter and select the type of bowl you would like, the base (rice, veggies, salad, combo), then you select your protein, finally you select any additional toppings you'd like, such as green onion or avocado. I have now been to Flame Broiler twice for lunch and have been very impressed! The food is delicious and fresh. Best of all the price point is great. I highly recommend Flame Broiler if you are looking for a healthy "fast food" option in Greensboro!

As you walk in, you walk towards the back. Order from the right side, check out on the left. The menu is very simple. You pick your size of your meal...mini, bowl or a plate. Chicken or beef are your meat options. You can get either or both meat choices. White or brown rice and mixed veggies are your main sides. You can get a side of kimchi, which was a bit high for the amount you get. It is in one of those cups that fit in the palm of your hand. You can also garnish your food with green onions. Overall the inside is very clean. The staff were friendly and quick. The food packaging was nice. The food was hot. Oh and don't forget to get your three sauces, because the food needs a more of a kick to the flavor. I like the magic sauce, because it definitely-asked more of a punch to my taste buds than the others I picked. I went to this location, because it said it had a Korean food...I'm assuming because they offer a side of kimchi? I guess the beef could be a variation of bulgogi? It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. I will definitely go back. You should try it.

FIVE STARS ALL AROUND! I am just so grateful they finally decided to open up a shop out here in NC, this having been one of my husbands and I's favorite fast food in California! Turns out they've been planted here for SIX YEARS! Everything is just as good as I remember, only there are more sauces instead of just hot sauce and magic sauce (teriyaki), so that was a little confusing. If you're in the area and looking for fast AND healthy, give this place a shot and let's grow them into opening up in Charlotte, ya'll!!

White meat chicken and angus beef family meal

Already tired of what you meal prepped for this week or didn't even have time at all over the weekend? Give Flame Broiler a try! I discovered this spot a couple of years ago because it's located near where I work. I heard it was a healthier option for lunch so I decided to give it a try. After I raved about it for over a year to my husband and he finally tried it, we have never looked back from making this a regular part of our dinner/meal prep rotation. Last week we got the family meal which consists of a mixture of protein (we chose white meat chicken and angus beef), rice (we chose white but you can also get brown), and veggies (we opted for none because I'm picky ). An array of hot sauces (i get the green "double" hot sauce) and their low calorie "magic" sauce (tastes like a sweet soy sauce) comes on the side. After eating this for dinner twice last week, I also had lunch for two days because the family meal is so plentiful. Seriously, if you're tired of meal prepping and want something quick, healthy, flavorful, and bountiful, have these guys do it for you

Chicken & vegetable bowl

This was my first time there. The cashier was helpful with explaining the the menu to me and the sauce options when I had specific questions. I wanted to be healthy so I ordered a regular size bowl with protein choice as chicken and my base as vegetables. I combined what I think was named the ginger sesame sauce and the sauce similar to teriyaki. Next time I plan to order just the ginger sesame sauce. They had plenty of seating available when I went mid week and was clean. I'd come back.

It was quiet inside, but that didn't deter the staff from efficiently taking our order and getting us burgers hot and fresh within about 15-20 minutes! I like that it's an order at the counter place, with a very distinct feel of getting a higher end burger at a place with waiter service. I think more restaurants would greatly benefit to change to this model, not everything needs a waiter, and customers are generally happy to handle getting their own drinks while saving the tip. Anyhow, I went with the smashburger special, two smashed out patties topped with American cheese, pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and burger sauce. I got tots for my side, because frankly, I think tots are the superior potato consumption method. The patties had a nice crust on them, plenty of beefy grilled flavor, nicely seasoned. The cheese and onions provided balance, and acidic hits from the pickle topped it all off. Very tasty. The tots were fried crispy just how I like them. Everyone else at the table had a similar premium experience with their items, and we all agreed this was a great pivot. We'd come back!

But first, let's talk about the amazing sides. Crispy tots, hand battered onion rings, and a mac n cheese to blow your lid off...these were the bomb! But the burger took this place to another level. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly. I'm a medium rare steak man, but I like my burgers at a solid medium. They cooked it to perfection. A tender and thick patty with an amazing crust. The kicker is the smoky flavor you get throughout. Add in a fresh brioche bun and amazing toppings, and you have a perfect burger from top to bottom. And they're not short on variety either. If you can think it, they can make it. Great location with plenty of parking and a super friendly staff. This is only a 10 minute drive for us so we'll be frequenting this location quite a bit now that we've tried it. You won't go wrong with anything here.

I ordered the #2 sliders, one Hot and one X-Hot... lol holy smokes the extra heat will light you up. I honestly can't even imagine trying the Reaper level. I also got a large chocolate milkshake and it was amazing -- super creamy and a perfect balance to the spice. The fries were awesome, perfectly seasoned, and surprisingly not too salty at all (which I really appreciated). Service was a little slow, but honestly? That's because everything is made fresh. I'll gladly wait a few extra minutes for hot, fresh food instead of something that's been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Overall, 9/10. Great food, bold flavors, and totally worth the visit. Highly recommend!

Service was pretty good, about what we expected; and the atmosphere was as advertised, bright colors, loud music, lots to look at. I highly recommend this place to the right customer, that customer just isn't me.

After ordering, it took maybe 5 minutes to get our food which felt decent for the fresh food! There was a steady flow of to-go orders so it seems to be a popular spot. I ordered the Popper Topper Burger, although I do get the jalapeños on the side. I was expecting a little bit more to be honest. It was cheesy and delicious, but the patty itself was lacking any flavor. This was shocking because the menu described it to be "Cajun seasoned" but it felt very plain. The fries were my favorite part by far!!! Unlike other places, this had plenty of toppings. Normally, once you eat the top layer the underside is dry. Not here! I was covered in cheese sauce by the end of the meal. If you're in the mood for some really good fries, definitely check it out!

While the exterior is a far cry from the "vibrant patio" the restaurant description promises, the interior opens into a clean, bright space, which is more spacious than one might expect. On the front counter you will see an artistically designed menu board, depicting the many creative offerings available here. When I invited my coworkers to join me here for lunch, 2 immediately began ardently affirming my choice, regretful they could not join me but promising I would love it. In this moment, vague memories of them talking about this "really good burger place at the gas station" for months on end began to come back to me, as I realized they had been indirectly recommending it for a while. On the other hand, my 3rd coworker, who was in a separate room and had not heard their high praises, told me that it was "overrated" and "fine but not that special." Lol. Needless to say, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it all when I arrived. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been there, before patiently walking me through the various sections of the menu and helping me pick something out. I settled on the Popper Topper, which promised Cajun spices and fried jalapeño coins, among other various toppings. At its smallest size (big), it only cost $10.99. I also ordered bacon and cheddar fries. My initial impressions upon receiving my food (quite quickly, I might add) is that 1) the restaurant's name is perfect and 2) this is a very good quantity per dollar and an absolutely absurd calorie per dollar meal, especially in 2025. For right at $20, I got a huge burger and enough fries to satiate 2-3 people. I cannot fathom what the larger burger sizes look like, much less who could possibly be ordering them. The fries were everything I could have asked for -- crispy, salty, and with a very generous amount of both cheddar sauce and bacon (the perfect amount to have sauce on every bite but not be soggy). The burger was good, and definitely satisfied that primal craving for salt and fat that we all carry with us from hunter-gatherer days gone by. However, I wouldn't say it was particularly spicy, nor did its flavor deviate significantly from any generic burger I could order. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I think that the fried jalapeño coins are breaded a little on the thicker side, which somewhat mutes the spice and slight acidity that they would otherwise add to this dish, to help cut through and brighten the other flavors. All in all, I had a great meal and would totally come back, but I don't think I've tried the "perfect" burger from here yet. Definitely going to recommend this to anyone in the area.
