    Chicken Avocado Bowl
    Ian S.

Eh, this place is aight. If I was a gym bro, I'd come here every day. The menu is very basic. Protein, rice, vegetable. The chicken is decent but nothing above average. The order-taker was nice. The ambiance is pretty shabby. The interior remind me of a rundown gas station that hasn't been renovated since 2002. I'll come back here the next time I want a basic chicken and rice meal.

Extra charge for bad avocado. Meat taste off

Ordered a half and half bowl and plate. Extra charge for bad avocado. Taste of the chicken was off.

Beef & Chicken bowl. More like a carrot bowl. Absolutely Ridiculous !!

I can not believe that I paid over $20 for this and a drink! Burnt dry beef and half a bowl of carrots! It was ready in less than 2 minutes so thanks for the obviously precooked meat you left burning on the grill! Never Again!!

This is one of my favorite Flame Broiler's. Always greeted with a sincere welcome. Food is consistently good! It's plentiful and served hot. Portion size for a bowl is really good. The limited time Spicy Korean Chicken Bowl is . Great sauce with a nice little kick. It's my favorite! Deeeelicious!

I got a chicken bowl with avocado. The portion size was was small, could have been at least more rice. I have ate here before and they are consistent with small portions when compared to other flame broilers. The chicken was over cooked, had to spit out half of the chicken. Better off going to waba grill down the street, more for your money.

Pictured is a half & half bowl (half chicken / half beef) white rice and veggies. The bowl certainly provides a generous amount of meat. The veggies are crunch which I love because I can't stand soggy veggies. We got to try all 4 sauces since we bought 2 bowls...none of them are spicy. Maybe it's my tolerance for all things HOT? Idk. Check this place out for a quick delicious bowl.

Great spot, Friendly cashiers and given the amount of volume they deal with, they get your orders out quick.

We arrived as party of 3 around 1pm. The dinning room was filled but luckily we had just missed the lunch rush and were seated right away. I ordered the soondubu and kalbi combo. My soup medium spicy and bursting with flavors. Banchans were simple but super tasty and fresh. Kalbi was sizzling as it was served. Everything was delicious and clearly lives up to the hype.

The banchan selection was also pretty limited, although what we got was okay. I wanted something else so also got the spicy bibim noodles but honestly it was by far one of the most disappointing things I have ordered in a Korean restaurant. Not the typical style I am accustomed to and honestly lacking in flavor. Do not get it! The restaurant was very busy and packed with people, so the service was actually okay considering how busy they were. Overall, I just didn't find anything that really made me want to come back. I'd probably choose BCD next time--even though I don't think it's anything spectacular either, I do think it's better than this place. And if I'm really craving good Korean tofu, I'd rather make the drive to LA for the real thing.

After you sit at the table and fire up the grill, it's easily 90 degrees. The bathrooms are cool, but the eating area is HOT. The food was alright, but the heat made it hard to enjoy the meal. We had a 3 year old and 8 month old with us and had to use a portable fan to cool them off. We all had sweat pouring down our faces. At one point we asked the server if we could have some ice for our water cups because the 2 water pitchers were room temp and he hesitated before saying he would add ice to the pitchers. Overall, it made a somewhat decent meal unenjoyable because we were hot the whole time. I'm not sure if this is a regular thing or if the HVAC needs to be serviced, but I would not go back unless they had functioning AC, especially during this heatwave. It wasn't just us that was having a hard time. Just before we left, a family with what looked like a newborn baby came in. They were trying to flag down a server for what seemed like 10 mins or so while they frantically fanned their baby with a menu.

I honestly wasn't expecting them to go full out with the side dishes when we came. We ordered the Dwaeji Bulgogi combo, which came with the beef tofu soup. The server was super nice and told us to take a seat while he prepped everything. The food came out super fast and we immediately started eating. The tofu soup did have a kick, but the hot soup was so comforting that it hit the spot, even on a hot day. They didn't skimp on the meat either, we had a lot of beef in the soup and used it to flavor the purple rice it came with. The kimchi on the side was also more on the sweet side, so you know they didn't just buy it from Costco to serve. The spicy pork was also very strongly flavored and very tender. You didn't have to chew it very much. The rice also helped balance out the flavors so they aren't too strong when you eat them.

Tucked in a food court, there's plenty of seating and you order at the counter, and they bring out all of your food on a cart. We always get a medium beef tofu soup, galbi, and recently their bossam. The food is hearty and the soup is HOT, but it's pretty tasty. Galbi is a bit inconsistent, sometimes it's tender and has char marks, and other times it's chewy, but the flavor is nice. Their bossam is good, but comes out lukewarm and a bit underwhelming. Their salad though is super delicious, whatever vinagrette they use I wish I could have on hand all the time! Two tofu combos with their most expensive options rang out to around $75 with no drinks, which is definitely on the pricier side. We had leftovers, but this isn't a regular meal that you can go out for often. I'll continue to keep this spot close for when I'm craving tofu soup and purple rice nearby.
